Visited for the ice cream -Latchetts gelato (saw the strange flavours on TV). £4.90 for a double tub with wafer. Very nice. Heaven farm itself is not much of a farm a few chickens wandering and small bird avery.

Parking was rather tricky. Not really a farm to be fair. An aviary, a few chickens and some broken cow statues! On the plus side, the gelato is great!

Such a great little spot. Always a family trip as everyone always wants to come if it’s Latchetts. The brownies that you can order too are deadly 😂🙈

Had seen some good and bad reviews so decided to try for ourselves. The area was busy, yet the staff of one seemed to cope very well. They were friendly, engaging and very helpful. There was a large variety of flavours to choose from, some very different to the norm. The likes of Twix, Knickerbocker Glory, and Victoria sandwich sounded very intriguing. What we had was good quality and a delight to eat. We will go back again. There were also walks and a cafe nearby but we cannot comment on those.

I’ve been to plenty of these types of places on holiday in Devon and Cornwall. Italians do it better and call it Agriturismo but I think it’s great British farmers and producers are getting into it too. This farm has lots going for it, great walking and really cool soft play area for toddlers. We went out of way to have pit stop here purely for ice cream but arrived around lunchtime so the car was hungry. First we went into the restaurant which really showcases the local produce. I wasn’t that hungry so a charcuterie board was ordered though one of our group regretted and would have preferred breakfast ciabatta which looked epic on the other table. I love cheese but and less precious about it than my travelling group so they were really happy I was meh. The charcuterie I’m afraid was very poor and my nephew’s ham sandwich much tastier. Just because it’s local these entrepreneurs need to do research and check if it’s any good! The Diet Coke was ice cold so all good there. Onto the ice cream down the slope. Yes the teens serving were pretty joyless. Do they like ice cream? Do they like people? Do they like food retail? Do they like anything??? The product itself was okay. I had apple crumble ice cream which was only nice. It missed more apple and maybe some cinnamon. Other’s choc was good, the strawberry cheesecake better - it kicked haagen dazz off the playing field. In summertime this place will be heaving I’m sure and not bothered about reviews good or bad.

Visited on rainy May bank holiday expecting it to be fairy quiet but it was actually very busy with many families using the play facilities and ice cream parlour, brilliant for Latchetts. Unfortunately the ice cream counter was quite bare but still had enough choice. The staff member serving us was disengaged, never made eye contact, was sullen with no smiles, no enjoy your ice cream etc. She dripped chocolate sauce all down the side of the pot & when asked if she could pop it in another container so that we didn't get sauce all over our hands it seemed such a hardship! Hands were used to pick up and put the wafer/biscuits into the ice cream...no gloves? Overall the staff were a let down, there was no joy in purchasing the ice cream. A disappointing experience with poor customer service. Such a shame, as the ice cream is really lovely.

After a fantastic walk we treated ourselves to an ice cream, however we found the staff bored, sullen and very slow, if they don't want to be there perhaps get a different job. I would hate to try and get one when it is busy!!! The actual ice cream is delicious.

Whilst my granddaughter loved the play barn and that was the main reason we went. I was appalled at the cost of the food. The food was nice but the price was extremely high for what they serve. I had a bacon and egg ciabatta, my daughter had a sausage ciabatta and my 2 year old granddaughter had a child’s sausage sandwich. My daughter and granddaughter had an apple juice and I had a Darjeeling tea. Now at the most the average cost in the area for freshly home produce food of this kind (we are locals) costs around £25 for this meal. We do eat out at these sorts of places and have love home sourced produce. I purchased 2 cards of the local area which were £2.50 each adding £5 to my bill. My total bill came to £53. 38 making our food £48.38!! Absolutely outrageous for what we had that makes each sandwich and drink £16.12 each roughly!! How can they justify that?? Obviously the child sandwich should be less!! There were no side bits on the plate, no salad, no crisps just the ciabatta!!! We then went and bought an ice cream in the ice cream parlour which is £3.50 for a single scoop plus 50p for sprinkles, or any topping! That’s in a tub, if you want a cone it goes up. That’s pretty standard though. The activities are reasonably priced but not do they get you on the food. I suggest taking a picnic!!

We visited as 3 families for a meet up. The kids had great fun in the inflatables, walking trail and park. The ice cream is absolutely delicious although be patient and queue for the ice cream. However we had lunch in the cafe a male member of staff shouted at us when we asked if we could clear a table ourselves as we could appreciate they were busy and continued to shout at people coming into the cafe because he couldn’t get passed them to clean our table. Then an older female member of staff shouted at the kids whilst we were preparing them in coats (7 of them) to go back out in the rain to play more. Saying they were annoying. Not an ideal place to work if kids are annoying to you. The younger female who took our orders was very friendly though. Visit the farm for sure and enjoy the facilities and ice cream but maybe not the cafe.

Drove for an hour to get here with my family to pick pumpkins. The pumpkin field was lovely. However we went into the cafe afterwards for lunch and you have an older female member of staff shouting at children with muddy shoes and telling them to take them off (the floor was already caked in mud). My 3 year old nephew asked me why the lady was so rude! So we won’t be back, and we went to Sheffield Park Gardens for lunch instead which was much more child friendly and amazing service there- I recommend it. I don’t expect to go to a farm and take my shoes off in the cafe… very odd.

Nice little farm, easy parking and pretty location. The tearoom could be amazing with some serious renovations. The server was friendly and the pot of tea well priced. The gelato parlour is nicely decorated with friendly enough if not over-enthusiastic staff. The biscotti was great but cheesecake flavour needed to be more cheesy!

I took my 1.5yr old here with some friends and their young children too, to visit doves play barn. In the under 5’s section my daughter was running around and went into the corner where the fire exit door is and leant against it. With this the door opened and she fell through it backwards, landing on rubble and concrete. Hitting her head and grazing her hand. She was obviously extremely upset and when I went to tell staff, I was greeted with a very insensitive and unbothered tone then they said she must have opened it! She cannot physically even reach the push bar if she tried! There was no offer of any first aid or any assistance whatsoever! It took the staff member 3 times slamming the door extremely hard to get it shut which suggests the door is faulty! My daughters clothes were damaged and she was covered in dirt which along with her being very upset, resulted in us leaving our friends there and going home! I decided to privately message doves play barn on their Instagram to share my upset over this and they had the audacity to read my message and completely ignore it! Do not take your children to doves play barn, it’s dangerous and the staff do not care!

We visit family in the area every year and latchett’s is a place we always go to. The scenery is beautiful and the ice cream is amazing. We’ve not played golf or done any other activities as it’s so expensive for each activity. The ice cream is amazing offering many different flavours and it’s always exciting waiting, however, the staff in there are rude and it really spoils the experience. I also got an eye roll from one of the girls for asking if my daughter could also have chcocolate sauce on her ice cream (before I’d laid and whilst she was still putting the sauce on mine so it was still right next to her and wouldn’t have been an inconvenience at all). If the staff were friendly it would really make a difference because you can see awkward looks on other customers faces due to the rudeness.

We have visited Latchetts Farm a couple of times recently in family groups. The range of ice cream options is exceptional, and the ice cream itself is great quality with stunning flavours and a real creaminess. There are other food options available such as cookies and cakes, but the ice cream is the main attraction. The staff are all really helpful and friendly, and the portions served are more than acceptable. We sat outside at the tables provided and enjoyed the country surroundings. For the younger children there is a small play area which seems popular and is close enough to allow remote supervision whilst you enjoy your ice creams!! My aim is to sample one of every flavour by the end of this summer!!

Good pizzas, pasta and lots more Italian favourites. I had a tasty salmon in tomato sauce and tasty veg. The tiramisu is also unmissable ! Well done to all. X

Pleasant staff and lovely restaurant but the food was particularly bad. The pizza was bad. Listed as a stone baked pizza but it was cooked in a pan. The base was soggy as there was way too much cheese. Didn’t taste of anything. It was worth a refund. Steak - advertised a fillet, didn’t get a fillet. Fries were advertised but low quality chips were served. Lasagne was over cooked and greasy. I can confidently say that this restaurant have no idea what they are doing.

We had a brilliant lunch here today. The food was all delicious - far better than a lot of meals we’ve had in Italy. The namesake Poco pasta was particularly good. Some lovely local Sussex sparkling wine. The staff were really friendly and welcoming too. We had our 5 month baby with us which doesn’t usually get you the warmest reception but they were very hospitable. Would highly recommend!
