Lascito Italian Restaurant in North Lincolnshire

Third visit to this restaurant since it opened. First time it was ok considering new business , equipment and not a lot of experienced staff available . Second visit food and service had improved but still not quite there. Third visit tonight and they have got it just right, in fact perfect. Josh the front off house guy remembered us by first names which was a nice gesture as did Rochelle the restaurant manager. So to the food. Garlic tomato bread very tasty , Garlic prawns so firm and meaty they were like baby lobsters and the butter sauce wiped it all up with the bread crust. Garlic mushrooms very tasty. Rib eye steak , duck breast both ordered medium no blood came out just right cooked fresh from order not reheated pre cooked , takes a little bit longer but tastes so much better. They have got the chefs just right Italian guy doing what Italians do and a good old Brit doing the meaty stuff. I can honestly say this place is well worth giving a go and for all people who have been here before and not been back or have been put of by negative comments give them another go its worth it. Rebooked for next week.

It was disgusting. We waited an hour for a table we had booked then had to ask the waitress to take out order another half an hour later.. the rice was raw then the lamb main wasnot edible it was that chewy. They then refused to refund because we ate some BUT we was so hungry raw rice was better than nothing. AVOID

Had heard mixed reviews but tried it last night . Food was excellent (steak /Duck) the restaurant is really nice and comfortable. 3 cocktails for £15 were really good. Definitely would go back only downside was it was really quiet probably due to teething problems on opening.

Booked for 1945. Starters served at 2100. Table not even set up properly. Why put menus in the bar if no one is there to take order? Food was great but service was poor. Asked for table water 3 times, people who came in after us served food before us. Second time been, service poor each time. Wont go back, Italian chap did his best, guy behind bar also tried, but feels like someone playing at running a restaurant rather than helping those who work in there. Overpriced for experience in my view from 2 visits

What a fabulous experience , went for mothers day and had the Sunday lunch menu . The chicken main was absolutely delicious. Beautifully cooked and plentiful, the mash and rich gravy was exceptional and really tasty . For desert we had the brownie which was a great portion size and again delicious. Feels really high class and service was high standard yet friendly.

Food was great, service not so much. Don't need staff tutting and rolling their eyes at you when you ask to split the bill, telling you that they can't do that. Apparently they are completely unable to enter individual amounts into a card machine...

Had a great time at Lascito in Brigg! Best Italian meal we’ve had for a while!! And lovely to see Giovanni again. Good food and love a montepulcio wine. Garlic bread great with oil and balsamic dip!!

What a great restaurant this is! The cocktails in the bar area were lovely, on arrival. Waiting staff took our coats and carried our drinks through to our table. The food was amazing, with a huge choice on the menu - all really well presented and delicious. Surroundings were lovely too, and the waiting staff were really friendly, helpful and attentive. Not the cheapest, but real quality.

The positives are, the cocktails are great, the aesthetics of the place are pleasing, it really does have a great vibe and would be a place I would revisit if the food was better, the food took an age to come out then was either over cooked or undercooked for our party, the food would need improving for me to return and pay the prices they are charging. Disappointed as this is on our doorstep

Me and my husband went when it first opened and was amazing was passing the other day with a friend as we was going to come in for lunch but to see staff in the window sat on their phones and eating really put us of going this is a shame as it is a really nice place with amazing food

We visited on opening night; which in hindsight was probably a mistake - but we were excited to try out the new Italian restaurant. We got off to a good start and shown to our table immediately and drinks orders taken and received quickly. To start we ordered a garlic bread to share, in the time it took to arrive the couple either side of us had eaten their starters and mains and left. When it did arrive I was very underwhelmed it tasted nice but was the size of a side plate, at almost £8 I expected it to be around 10 or 12 inches (no indication of size on the menu). For our main course we ordered the Valdarno Chicken (£19.95) and Roasted Salmon with Sweet Chilli (£21.95). This arrived as we were just about to give up on our food order and head home. Temperature of the dishes were lukewarm so I'm not sure if they had been waiting in the kitchen for a while. By this point we were that hungry that neither of us wanted to send anything back. Unfortunately whilst they were tasty, we had been waiting that long that neither us particularly enjoyed our meals. We didn't have a dessert as by the time we had finished our mains we just wanted to get home. Hopefully these were just teething problems, e.g. staff not checking on us/letting us know about the delays without us having to ask. When we went to pay as we were leaving they did let us have the meals on the house, so I cannot fault them there. We will give the restaurant another chance in the future, but I feel for the prices in the area service and food has to be spot on.

Lovely spot and just what Brigg needs! The food is top tier, stunning place (especially the ladies bathrooms) the food is worth the wait, even though we didn’t wait long for dinner at all! Definitely give it a go.

Heard mixed reviews but couldn’t fault on our 1st visit. Garlic prawns cooked to perfection, verbano chicken was very tasty and a citrus dessert that was lovely. Wife had mushrooms, salmon which she said was lovely and the same dessert. Bottle of pinot all for about £100. Will definitely return

Booked for a meal with friends one Saturday Night between Christmas and New year and I was very impressed. The surroundings , food , service were all outstanding and I can’t wait to come back .

Enjoyed a delicious three course meal with wine and cocktails at Lascito as part of a booking for 13 people. The food was served piping hot, waiting staff friendly and efficient. The garlic bread and pizza looked lovely. I really enjoyed my garlic mushrooms starter, king prawn linguine main and scilian lemon dessert. My husband also said his pate starter, lamb main and chocolate brownie dessert was delicious. I would recommend having a meal here and will definitely book again. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. It is expensive but worth it for a special treat. Everyone enjoyed their food, some had food envy with their mains wishing they to had ordered the lamb.

Lovely food and a great place to eat in Brigg. Service was spot on and one of the nicest restaurants around. Great to see quality on the menu.

We arrived and weren’t greeted by anyone, no one apart from barman in the front area . Ignored by staff for 5 minutes. Close to walking out despite it not being busy. Eventually taken to our table . We had to ask for a wine menu and then asked how many glasses we wanted instead of just bringing one for everyone! Food was tasty but didn’t all arrive together. Whilst it’s new restaurant it seriously needs to up its game to stay the course. The place is soulless and a bit like smart cafe lacking in atmosphere. Plastic mats on table are not attractive and the cotton napkin I had was dirty and stained . Staff lacking in customer service. They need someone in charge and to sort the place out .

Fabulous food, fabulous service and deserts to did for! Can’t wait to go back! Nice to finally have such a great place to eat locally.

The decor is absolutely stunning, the staff are friendly. I had the duck and it was delicious. Food did take a while to come out but it was worth it. Would definitely recommend.
