Lovely little café, great food amd friendly service

Incredible place, incredible coffee!

This is a nice little café near the university. It serves differents options to eat, different types of coffee and the decor and music in the background is good. I personally would use a different type of coffee but it's up to taste.

A very busy little coffee shop. 'Mugshot' coffee was extremely good! shabby chic with youthful energy. Diligent baristas that know how to extract, quite rare! and friendly staff. Table service. Really excellent Bacon bap.

Cakes are expensive . Closes at 4pm so if want something to eat get there at least an hour before

Dan and team were great. They did the catering for our staff training day. All the staff were so happy . The food looked great and tasted amazing.

My favourite spot to get coffee, food and drink very high-quality and Atmosphere is relaxing. Plenty of really good vegan options too. Definitely would recommend.

My first visit today, having been told about it yesterday. What a gem! Beautiful place, lovely decor. really helpful and friendly staff and wow!. gorgeous hot drinks and vegan cakes 😋 Reasonable prices for quality produce, lovely atmosphere and really good service. Only did coffee today but saw lovely looking wraps and paninis being brought out for people and they looked delicious so definately a lunch next visit! What a lovely place 😊

Never left a review before, but felt I had to when I came here. I have never had such a good coffee or Bacon Sarnie. The service here is incredible, staff are smiley and friendly. The barista know how to extract and does great latte art. The chap cooking looks like he loves his job and the girl on the till is just so efficient. I’ve worked in the cafe trade for 20 years and wish I had these staff in my cafes. I hope their boss appreciates them.

This is a wonderful independent coffee shop. Great atmosphere, lovely food and excellent coffee. The staff are friendly and welcoming . What a refreshing change to the usual high street offerings.

Sorry but this place has gone downhill since it’s changed management. It’s freezing cold in there, with uncomfortable places to sit. The coffee I had was honestly the worst coffee I’ve ever had. So weak and tasteless, basically like hot sour milk. One lady sat there 15 mins waiting for her drink - there was nobody in there. What a shame that the coffee on AUBs site is now better.

Edit, The coffee house has undergone major reconstruction since my review last year. The atmosphere has changed and it's more minimalist and streamlined and much less comfortable. The rotating art from various artists has been replaced by grey paint. Long hardwood benches and small metal and wooden chairs compliment the minimalist look but are very uncomfortable to sit on. The actual coffee can vary depending on their supplier at the time. At the time of this review it's really not great. The staff are wonderful. Delightful snacks are available and they cater for most eating habits.

Absolutely love everything about this cafe. The food is delicious, the atmosphere and music. Staff is very friendly. Simply a perfect place to come for a brunch or a cup of coffee.

First time here, and did not know the place before this visit. Fab service and flat white for both of us. Sandwich wise, had brie abd cranberry was very good. Brie and fried onions was nice but no fab for my taste. Would def recommend if you are in the area.

Festive toaster panini was brilliant. Service was a bit cold and unsmiling, which is a shame

Nice enough, great for a quick coffee and a sandwich but they have a limited range of food. It would be nice to have an English breakfast rather then have it in a panini.

Once you've had your first visit you will go back again and again.

What can I say but everything from the service, food and comfort is above and beyond. I can't help but keep coming back weekly.

Amazing avo, halloumi, bacon and eggs on sourdough toast. Coffee was strong and flavourful and very reasonably priced. Yum yum! Also served with a smile and faster than I could cook it 😀

Manager Alberto was really professional and had brilliant service, Chef Leart cooked the best lamb i have had. Definitely recommend.

Lovely set up brilliant coffee and staff and a nice couple of miles away from Boscombe which is needed from time to time

A lovely little coffee shop with a nice range of midday snacks. I had a lovely brie and cranberry pannini, served with a small bowl of crisps and a rocket salad drizzled with balsamic dressing, all very tasty and only £5. We ate outside which was an added bonus on a sunny day. Will definitely go back again.

Coffee had a real sour milk taste to it, wasn't pleasant at all. Asked for some toast...got this warmed up chewy stuff instead. Staff seem more interested in their phones and mates, than actual customers. Only 4 mins from my house, so was hoping to make it a regular cafe to visit....but sour milk in coffee and chewy bread makes it a thanks, but no thanks for me.

Attended a book launch for a local author and had very nice coffee.

I honestly don't know how they do it. I love Bad Hand coffee, I've had it in several places as well as at home, but this little gem of a coffee shop just makes it better than anyone else.

A superb vanilla iced latte, and I ordered a chicken caesar wrap to takeaway but received a mozzarella, tomato & pesto panini...not that it really mattered because it was still delicious 😂👌 Will definitely be back!

Lovely place to drop in for breakfast, i always have the bacon mushroom bap and coffee. Highly recommended!

Terrible attitude by the guy making the coffee. We got served luke warm coffee and when we asked if it could be warmed up he told us quite aggressively that they only do coffee at that temperature. IF we wanted hot coffee it had to be asked for when orderered AND that they wont heat it up again in future. He didnt smile once and looked like he didn't want to be there.

Nice location on the campus, good atmosphere, gives culture a good name,well prepared food, drinks prepared with love and care.

Lovely decor. Nice enough coffee. Staff were so uninterested and so unenthusiastic it made us feel we were an inconvenience. Shame

Lovely little cafe, surprisingly busy, tucked away behind the Uni. Friendly staff, tasty paninis and good coffee. No website, so popped the menu on here for others.

Staff are super friendly and polite, I had a bacon roll and Pumpkin Spice latte and can honestly say well worth the price and tasted amazing, would highly recommend to everyone.

I came across this coffee house a few weeks ago and I have to say their food is outstanding! Today I ordered the toasted avocado, tomato and lettuce sandwich. It was exceptional to say the least. I also ordered the couscous salad, extremely tasty. Their overnight oats with coconut and raspberries certainly didn't disappoint. All totally fresh and reasonably priced. Highly recommended

Great coffee and service. I regularly come here as I work at the University next door. Staff are welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable about the coffees they serve. Bad Hand is a definite bonus.

The coffee wasn't at all bad though I have had better. It's a bit shabby chic in quite a nice way, however, any shortcomings are made up for and surpassed by the very pretty young ladies serving

Great lunch options with vegan alternatives. The wrap or sandwich is served with chips as well. The prices are reasonable.

The pesto chicken panini was so good I visited three times in a week while on vacation. Coffee was also good! Both hot and iced versions. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. The wall art was perhaps questionable, but that's a part of the experience. Cozy place. Dog friendly as well.

Very friendly and kind people working here, a relaxed environment with nice interior decor … but the coffee was truly perfect, it’s very difficult to find coffee as good as L’arte coffee, and I look forward to my next visit.

Just popped in for a coffee. Coffee was good but not very hot. Background music was too loud so made chatting with friends difficult. Not particularly warm inside.

I popped into this coffee shop on the 12th, it sells Bad Hand coffee now I love coffee and have been to tons of coffee bars but this was the best coffee I have ever had absolutely gorgeous will be popping up again even if it is 3 miles away well worth it .

This is my local coffee shop and one that I'll hope will continue for some time to come as the service, food and drinks here are all fantastic.

I have no hesitation with giving L'arte 5 stars. Staff are always friendly, coffee is great and food is just what you want it to be. Keep it up guys!

Lovely little cafe. Dog friendly which is always a bonus. Their chicken Caesar wrap is the best I have had and my husband assures me the coffee is also excellent.

Popped in for a cafe late and Victoria sponge cake. Also had a chicken pesto and mozzarella ciabatta thingy. There's parking right outside and they let us bring a dog inside. Really friendly staff. Unfortunately they ran out of avocado. Would be nice to see more freshly baked bitts to

The service at L'arte was fantastic, staff were really lovely. Coffee was great quality too, the panini I had was fresh and full of flavour, didn't have room for a cake...looks like that's an excuse to go back - not that I need one! Highly recommend this place 😊
