Terrible food with absolutely terrible service. The Panzanella salad was a mash with no taste and just tomatoes. The service was also really bad - our vegetarian pasta dish was cooked with bacon and took ages to get that dish replaced. The replacement dish (recommended by the server as signature pasta dish) was absolutely inedible. We had to leave the restaurant, to go get a meal elsewhere which has rarely happened before.

Pizzas were good but not the best in the area. The dough was slightly thick and chewy. For the pricey pizza I was expecting better quality...

Good portions and tasty food. I got the risotto with the mushrooms which was well cooked and creamy unlike other Italian restaurants I have tried that tend to overcook the rice. My partner had the spaghetti amatriciana , the spaghetti was al dente and delicious sauce and well cooked guanciale 👌 we also shared the Bomba as a dessert, for one person might be too much - the pistachio ice cream was a bit light, couldn't taste much of the pistachio aroma

If you live in London you can't miss going to dinner at the Lamezia restaurant. Found by chance, it was a very pleasant surprise. We were on holiday in London and had dinner twice in 3 days at this place. The first time we tried the pizza which was really good, especially because I wasn't sick the following morning (now at my age I always have to evaluate it the following morning). The second time we returned with friends and we tried real Italian cuisine (which is difficult to find in London), from the starters (which we asked for twice because of how good they were) to the dessert it was all very good, I would like to say that the first courses are were better than the second ones but in reality I couldn't really choose, it felt like my mother was in the kitchen!! So if you are in London I highly recommend you go to this place!

Rude staff, they are advertise as showing the football matches and then act shocked when asking the staff about it. Location outdated, and unfriendly.

Drop whatever you are doing and go and eat at Lamezia, that is all. And don't forget to wrap your dinner up with a bomba desert.

Delicious pizza, fresh from a very good oven, as evidenced by the char marks. Pizza was nice and salty. The chili oil is incredible! (Wish they sold bottled chili oil) Definitely recommend getting a pizza here. Didn’t try the pasta but looked really good too

Walked in Sunday with no booking as we had just got to London and were starving. What a find! Food was amazing. Great, friendly service. Would definitely eat here again if we are ever in the area again. Thanks so much, you got our trip to London off to the perfect start!

We had dinner on a Thursday without a reservation, and ordered the pain nostro (bread with chili oil, balsamic vinegar and olive oil), the spicy carbonara and the tiramisu. The food was incredible - it wasn't overly heavy, tasted wonderful and left us wanting more. Pricing was also decent - all this for under 40£. The staff and decor were also highlights - everyone was really warm and there seemed to be a lot of regulars and that might include us as well!

Came in Friday eve, 4 of us, without a booking. Really great food and service for a reasonable price. Would recommend Lamezia if you are in the area!

During our stay this became my favourite at Holloway Road. Awesome pizza and pasta. And so friendly staff. Go here!

I went with a cousin on a Saturday, not crowded. Staff was absolutely lovely and so welcoming. The pizzas were DELICIOUS. I had the Vegetarian one with extra Gorgonzola, and it was one of the best I have had.

Great Italian restaurant with lovely dishes and very fresh food. Desserts are delicious too. All the dishes were packed with very very tasty flavours and unique. The chilli oil was not good at all but the fresh chillies were nice. The drinks were good too but the peroni wasn't as strong and the glasses were dirty inside some of them. Overall a great experience and enjoyable.

I loved it!! Me and my Italian family went there for dinner and our pizza was absolutely delicious and so tasty!! We loved the atmosphere, we felt like we were at home. We Highly recommend it.

I went to Lamezia with my partner for dinner. Italian staff is very friendly and professional. We ordered a speck and provola involtini as a special daily starter and 2 pizzas( Lamezia and Romagnola). Good ingredients , good selection , normal size dishes but dough can definitely be improved and unfortunately is a bit overpriced.

Can't speak more highly about Lamezia! My father and I go before every Arsenal home game. Maria always remembers us, and even emails ahead of time to change reservations when match days change. The food and service is excellent, and the whole atmosphere is extremely friendly and welcoming. The best restaurant on Holloway Road by a mile - and i've tried most of them!

very poor customer service. booked table 2 weeks prior and confirmed by email day before to be told 15 minutes before meal no table available. we were offered table outside very busy traffic etc, nobody out there obviously due to poor seating conditions ,will not be be trying to book this restaurant ever again.

Very disappointed to have booked up a table for 2 today travelling from Oxford to be told 15 minutes before double booked and no indoor seats available offered seat outside, far from acceptable with traffic weather etc considering confirmed night before, very very poor organisation

This is my favourite local place. Everything. Octopus carpaccio, bursts, truffle pasta, seafood grill…desserts. Team is phenomenal and I just genuinely like coming here after a long work day and have warm pasta. I love you 🖤

Decent spot to hop in before an arsenal match. The service was quick and the pizza was decent. Neopolitan style pizza but enjoyed that the toppings didn't slide off or create a puddle of mush when eating. Would recommend if looking to get some solid food in the system before a match

Nice atmosphere. The restaurant feels very homely. Pizza was very tasty. 4* because we found pizzas a bit too ‘bready’ and we personally prefer the neapolitana style pizzas.

Lamezia has always been one of my favourite places to eat in London. Extremely friendly staff and quick, efficient service. Great wine and super tasty food. Good pizzas, too.

It was ok. Seafood risotto delicious but carbonara not. Restaurant was empty. Service was ok but nothing special. I recommend Berto/Zia Lucia next door instead.

The food was incredible and the bread, oil and vinegar starter was the best I've ever had (5 different types of bread!). Would have been 5 stars for sure, but for the inexcusable use of plastic cups. Along with not being pleasant to drink from, in 2023 there's absolutely no excuse for a restaurant to use disposable cups. UPDATE: Plastic cups are a requirement of the council due to football fans being idiots. I have updated the review to 5 stars. Although maybe the restaurant could invest in some reusable plastic cups instead.

Waitress got our simple drinks order wrong initially then ignored us to the point that I had to shout over to get her to come to our table as she had not brought us the water we requested nor checked up on us or asked if we wanted deserts after our plates had been cleared. When I asked for an ice cream flavour that was listed on the board she seemed very confused then returned to say they did have this flavour (in which case surely it could have easily been removed from the blackboard). The bill included a 12.5% service charge which we asked to have removed as prefer to leave tips in cash according to the service. This also confused the waitress and who I presume was the manager that was brought over because she also just worked it out via a calculator and handwrote the new amount on the receipt. As there was 5 of us we split the total and all rounded up - 2 of us paid by card and the rest by cash; one friend also put extra change in to cover the tip so we had DEFINITELY paid over the total amount (minus the service charge) but another friend had used an old £20 note so had to go to the till to pay his share by card... where he was told we had underpaid by a few pounds and he had to cover this. He did so and the rest of us did not find out until after we left or would have argued this at the time. This all delayed us somewhat and we were actually late arriving at a gig we were attending nearby. On reflection I could not believe we were in the restaurant TWO HOURS and only had mains and drinks. The food was quite nice but the restaurant is very small with tables close together. We may have been a little loud as were a group but were made to feel very unwelcome.

It was a pleasant discovery, I moved 10 days ago to Holloway Road and it was a surprise to find this restaurant 2 steps away from my house! Thanks also to Mina the waitress, and to all the staff, very friendly and attentive… We will definitely be back not because it's close, but because it's one of the best Italian restaurants in London Thank you 👍

What a lovely little restaurant, the owners where really chatty and friendly. The food was really nice, I had meatballs for starters which just melted in my mouth ( mouth is watering as I'm writing this). For the mains I had a pizza with spicy Italian sausage (cannot remember what it was called) which was tasty and filling. Will definitely be going back. I didn't pay the bill so can't comment on cost.

Brilliant family run restaurant. Came on a Friday evening and service and food was both fantastic. All staff were very friendly & smiley and all food was delivered quickly. Vegan pizza was amazing. Limoncello made by Mama was a lovely end to the meal :)

This place, a small family business, since a few weeks now, is my only Italian love in London! The food is always fresh and the taste is so rich and genuine. I have been trying, in 10 years living in London, several Italian restaurants but this is by far the most authentic one!!! For the readers, I am from Napoli and I must admit that I am very fussy when it comes to food. Well deserved guys

Food was relatively bland or over-salted, bottle of wine opened behind the bar and left on the table for us to serve ourselves. It’s the little things sometimes.

We were positively surprised by the great food they have! We usually prefer their neighbours and never tried Lamezia but the pizza is very tasteful and the ingredients are fresh and tasty. We also had the lasagna which was amazingly juicy and perfectly cooked….definitely is going to be the first option now kn!!!

It is honestly a surprise! It is a family run business, very cordial staff and nice atmosphere. Loved the Italian songs in the background and all the typical pictures on the wall. Food is great and the price is very honest and affordable. The size of the Portions is perfect as well. Definitely recommend it. We paid 22£ each for a lot of food.

Excellent family run Italian restaurant. Exquisite food served promptly. Everything we tried was really good, from calamari, to the meatballs, the pisci al tartufo, gamberoni etc. Don't miss it if you enjoy Italian food. Tip: kids are well welcomed so extra thumbs up for this restaurant.

Myself, my dad and my little boy had the most wonderful lunch and today at Lamezia, a lovely family run restaurant with the most delicious food. They couldn’t have done more to ensure we felt comfortable and enjoyed our visit. I couldn’t recommend them more highly. Can’t wait to visit again.

Would highly recommend coming here to eat fresh pasta, pizza, seafood, and everything else that’s authentically Italian👑 I cannot wait to be back!!
