Absolutely NOT worth the wait! I queued for about 40 minutes to get some sourdough bread only to find it had run out. The staff are incompetent and dismissive. Sadly the bakery has gone downhill ever since it became a hit with Instagram. There are far better places to have coffee and buy bread and pastries nearby.

Great place to sit outside and watch the world going by. High quality pastries, I particularly enjoyed the cherry and cream offering.

I passed by on a Thursday morning. It wasn’t busy. The pastries look amazing visually and this did raise expectations, however the pain au raisin and cinnamon roll I tried were merely good rather than great. The coffee however was a pleasant surprise, scoring well on both flavour and strength. Overall one of the better coffees in the area, while the pastries are acceptable.

Delicious pastries, good coffee but disappointing sandwiches. I was looking forward to have my mortadella sandwich. Much to my surprise, I got a hell lot of a bread covered in olive oil, rocket and two thin slices of mortadella; they might as well rename it rocket and olive oil sandwich. If you are Italian, stay away.

The besssssssttttt cafe I have ever been to. Literally, the food looks incredible and tastes outstanding. It's a dream for foodies. The variety of products that they offer, wouldn't be available anywhere else. They make everything fresh right in front of you. There are a couple of seats available outside. There would always be a queue and why not? Check the photos and decide for yourself. If I ever visit London again, visiting Layla would be one of the reasons. We tried the garlic croissant, pain au chocolate, bow tie croissant and pistachio Danish/croissant.

Considering their pastries are ridiculously overpriced you’d think the staff would be a bit nicer towards you when your spending an absolute fortune on there goods. Not worth the money. I went in for a treat in my lunch break and ended up spending close to £20 on a coffee and 2 pastries. I was so Shocked. I’d been here before and don’t remember paying that much. The prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. Looks like it’s just another bakery feeding the masses. Coffee was average at best, asked for a flat white and it was closer to a short cappuccino. The bakers in there don’t look they wash their hands…ever. I watched one guy in there even go out for a cigarette and come back in and start touching raw dough!!!!!!! The floor was filthy with food all over it which surely is a health and safety hazard???? Don’t bother with it… definitely don’t queue for it!!!!!

This cosy cafe tucked away in Notting Hill is definitely my recent favourite! Everything is freshly baked and you can see the chefs rolling the dough behind the cashier. 🍽️ Pistachio pain suisse (£5.5) Look at those beautiful layers! I swear this is the flakiest pastry I have had. Filled with pistachio cream and chocolate chips with crushed pistachio on top - absolutely divine! 🍽️ Double chocolate tart (£5) Not sure it’s a weekend special as I haven’t seen it on social media before, but whatever, double chocolate, double happiness, right? The crust has a firm cookie-like texture and the centre is super gooey. Level of sweetness is just fine so it won’t be too heavy. ☕️ Iced Latte (£3.5) Coffee is alright but not as impressive as the sweet treats.

Deliziosa e molto accogliente bakery in stile nordico a pochi passi da Portobello Road. Ho bevuto un buonissimo chai latte e privato un pain su chocolat ben fatto. Alcuni tavoli sono in condivisione. Il laboratorio è a vista, quindi mentre si mangia si può dare un'occhiata al lavoro dei pasticceri. Carinissimo.

So happy to have this bakery in the area. Love the open kitchen. Wild peanut butter cookies, tahini and banana bread, bounty bar cake - all immensely delicious. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The bread is worth every penny.

Much like a lot of cafes in the area it's filled with saudi's and khaleeji arabs. Too much fuss, not enough attention to detail. Save your money.

Attempted to visit on Sunday evening, most of the tables were sticky and tv volume was at full blast. Very rough atmosphere. The two girls behind the counter had a bad attitude and didn’t know what they were doing. Asked for a bottle of Picpoul and didn’t know what it was. When I told her white wine she opened the fridge and I could see some already poured glasses, some wine inside the metal pourers in the middle of a messy fridge. It did put me off and left straightaway. They didn’t question it simply couldn’t care less.

Popped in for breakfast with my family before visiting the Natural History Museum which is only a five minute walk away. My wife had Egg Royale whilst my daughter and I had fry-up's. We all really enjoyed our meals, the service was friendly and we'd definitely visit again
