Popped in for breakfast with my family before visiting the Natural History Museum which is only a five minute walk away. My wife had Egg Royale whilst my daughter and I had fry-up's. We all really enjoyed our meals, the service was friendly and we'd definitely visit again

Popped in for a cooked breakfast, sat down and was given menus promptly. Order taken and breakfast came about 15 minutes after. Food was nice and just what we wanted/expected. No frills but tasty and good value for money. Both had lattes which were lovely, good strong coffee. Friendly service, no complaints.

The big chains are destroying our choice, the livelihoods of VERY hard-working owner-operators, all so some rich people can have second yachts. SUPPORT THE INDEPENDENTS... when they are good... as Gelgela is. I had a great fried breakfast, and doing me some fried bread was not treated as an impossible burden. AND it was inexpensive.

I ate here with 2 friends at almost closing time. First of all none of the 3 wokers could speak english so it was a bit hard to communicate. Secondly they heated our food in microwave. And the worst things about this restaurant was that me and my friend were food poisend and diaré thw hole next Day. Thank you for reuning our holiday in London.

Went there with family and friends, customer service does not exist , price was too high for the quality and the amount of food served into our dishes. The waiter forgot to bring half of the staff that we order but didnt forget to add them to the bill.....WTF!?!? , Didnt like the food as well , on top of that you can`t buy glass of wine or a beer because they dont serve any alcohol. Over rated place , Over charging and i will never go there again for sure. YOU BETTER GO DOWN THE ROAD , YOU ARE GOING TO FIND MUCH BETTER PLACE .

I have eaten over the years many types of cuisines from this cafe i.e fish and chips and now as a kebab shop. Which was the best, well they were both good, but in each instances the service let them down a bit. Looking back at my last visit, it was in its kebab shop mode and not too bad at all, I had the lamb skewer and chips, very nice. Any issues, service not to good and the little touches that make the big difference i.e. Sumac dusting and lemon juice both missing. Would I go back again, yes I would.

How hard is it to get a takeaway kebab right? Well pretty hard. Start off with no donner meat. Follow that up with a huge misunderstanding of what is required - meat chips and salad doesn't require a PHD. Then follow that up with a massive misunderstanding for a takeaway that's is cold and tasteless. After this you have a massive fail. Chicken meat is tasteless and wrong. Even more so when it's from a lukewarm and very old burner. The staff don't care as they're in a location that sells. My recommendation is to avoid and buy a sandwich if you're that desperate.

Popped in late Friday night for a kebab with friends and due to the poor weather decided to eat in. Food took in excess of 30 mins to be served and when it arrived the kebabs (lamb and chicken) were most unpleasant. Chips were ok but the kebabs were terrible. Can only really recommend the cans of Fanta !! Will not be visiting again.

Across from the Tube station nearest our hotel was a whole block full of restaurants, including a Burger King and a Kentucky Fried Chicken. We are not above such “comfort food” when we travel, but this was our second day in England and we had been promising ourselves we would try some authentic British fish and chips. The first place we looked advertised that they had beer-battered fish and chips, as did the second. The third one advertised TRADITIONAL fish and chips, and curious about that distinction we looked at the menu in the window. We noticed it was printed in both English and Arabic, and the sign in the window said “Halal.” We knew this was a Muslim establishment, that Muslims eschew alcohol, and that we should eat there. Wise choice. The food was delicious, including a very large fish fillet, and the prices were quite reasonable.

Attempted to visit on Sunday evening, most of the tables were sticky and tv volume was at full blast. Very rough atmosphere. The two girls behind the counter had a bad attitude and didn’t know what they were doing. Asked for a bottle of Picpoul and didn’t know what it was. When I told her white wine she opened the fridge and I could see some already poured glasses, some wine inside the metal pourers in the middle of a messy fridge. It did put me off and left straightaway. They didn’t question it simply couldn’t care less.

For many years I used Greenfields where I received consistently outstanding courteous, friendly, and swift service. Now where are they? Food quality was always the highest and prices reasonable but creeping up forced upon them by rapacious landlord happy to cede their territory to the growing French / Belgian community. Was it not Bonaparte who referred to the English as a "nation of shopkeepers"? Is it not ironic, therefore, that where he could not win at Waterloo his descendants could in South Ken....
