We recently visited the Tearoom for lunch which was beautiful and great value. Whilst there we asked about the possibility of the Tearoom supplying a buffet for an upcoming celebration. The buffet when it arrived was nothing short of amazing. Alison , the owner, made everything herself with the exception of the macarons. The presentation was fabulous. She even mixed the boxes of savouries and sandwiches so the boxes could be brought out if the fridge when required. The price was also amazing. I would highly recommend the Ladybird Tearoom to anyone.

Visited this cafe quite a few times now, but after today we won't be back. On entry the young assistant asked if it was a table for two, to which I replied, yes please, she pointed to the table and said take a seat. Another person, I assume it was the owner brought menus, when I said two coffees and two scones she did not look too happy. "Can I ask you to sit elsewhere we get very busy at lunch time" was her response. There were four customers in at the time, We took twenty minutes to finish, still only four customers. we visited a couple of shops, passed the cafe again still only four customers. I thought in these difficult times small businesses would be grateful for all customers. We've never been made to feel so unwelcome. Is it a TEAROOM or not?

Visited here today with my aunt who’s in her 80 s . Food lovely , service great until my aunt got up to pay and knocked a metal table down at the back of her chair . This table had a metal paper rack on too apparently filled with very expensive prints . The owner was only concerned about her prints reminding us if any were damaged we would have to pay for them . No concern over my elderly aunt if she was ok . Three times before we left we were told if any were damaged we had to pay . Maybe find an appropriate place for those very expensive prints . Custom lost 😡

My first visit to the tearoom today, the weather outside was freezing and I wanted a hot drink. Inside was warm and welcoming - spotlessly clean and attractive decor, fresh tulips on each table was a nice touch, so much nicer than the ubiquitous coffee chains in every town. I was welcomed by very pleasant staff and, although the cakes looked lovely, I ordered a latte and fruit scone. Service was quick and efficient and - best of all - both the coffee and scone were absolutely delicious. A lovely experience on a quick visit to this little gem; I’ll be back!

Not to mention scones with jam and clotted cream and three other types of cake !!!!! The staff make you feel very welcomed. Services is first class. Have been before and it was good and will go there again. Ofcourse I had to buy some cakes and scones for the family.... don't want them to be too jealous.

My husband and I have been regular visitors to the Ladybird Tearoom since it opened. Whenever we have tea we always ask for extra hot water as the tea is sometimes too strong, and have never been charged in all this time. After today's visit sadly we will not be going back. Today we were charged £1 for the hot water. When challenged and advised that we have never been charged for extra hot water the waitress said that if we had had it it in a jug instead of a tea pot we would not have been charged! Did you ever! We did not make a scene we just left and said that we did not feel nice about the whole experience. After t9oday's experience we will now advise that last week our teapots were less than half full of water and we did not say a word as it was the waitress's first day Sorry Ladybird, but with a plethora of coffee shops to choose from, who do not charge for hot water, whether it is in a tea pot or a jug, we will be taking our custom elsewhere.

This is a "shabby chic" tearoom where you will find a varied range of basic meals, sandwiches, home made soups, home baking, high teas and a very warm welcome from the friendly staff. I frequently pop in for a light lunch and the smiling staff...

Loveliest tearoom. Came here for a coffee and tea after our hike and simply could not refuse to have a slice of cake too, as they all looked amazing!

I had the misfortune to go to the cafe with my wife and we ordered full breakfast. When it arrived the bacon was stone cold and rest was just about Luke warm. Whilst there 2 other customers return their meals. I didn't complain as I had eaten a bit but both my wife were very disappointed. We won't return but pre covid the meals were good. Would not recommend eating at the cafe.
