La Turka Northwich in Cheshire West and Chester

Great atmosphere and service but unfortunately the food was well below expectations. We were really disappointed as this place has good reviews. I don't mind paying the prices they charge if the food is good but we won't be returning.

Based on the outskirts of Northwich, this Amazing Turkish restaurant blew us away with an Amazing meal. All I can say is go and try it for yourselves. All of our four meals were cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. Lovely service and immaculate inside. My never go to place to eat out

Hats off to all the staff at La Turka Northwich, they were amazing from the start! We were quite a big group which I know can be stressful but they were all great with us giving us an amazing experience along with outstanding food. Thank you, we will be back again in the future for sure.

We went on a damp Saturday night in January. This place used to be an Indian restaurant, it looks like some of the old decor is still in place, but it looks pretty good. It's tasteful and not over-done. We bought their sharing board as a starter. They do a vegetarian option, substituting the Turkish sausage with fried halloumi. It's honestly one of the best things I've eaten. Their bread is so tasty, you also get various dips and fried filo triangles filled with feta, hummus, yoghurt, aubergine and beetroot dips. Their fried potato chunks are astounding. For the main course my wife had chicken in a cream sauce which she told me was excellent. I had vegetarian Moussaka which was really good, but I was still raving about the first course. We didn't bother with a dessert, the portions are pretty generous. So, you get what you pay for. It came to just over £60, including a couple of large bottles of water, so £30 each. They add a 10% tip to the bill. I don't like that system. Although I'll tip if the food and service is good, I don't like it to be assumed. If they hadn't added it to the bill, they would have got £10. I was very happy with the price and quality. Anything bad? Car parking is difficult. It shares the site with a convenience store and a vets. You can park in nearby side streets and the pavements on the main road are wide enough to take a car without being an obstruction. If possible, arrange with friends to go in one car.

Feeling quite disappointed after reading the great reviews. We were there celebrating a friends birthday. The food was tasty, but some portions were very small. I was served a desert that did not match the description on the menu, they were adamant it was that desert, but it was differnet flavours to those advertised, I believe I was being 'fobed' off. The service wasn't great, not enough places for us all to sit together and a waitress and didn't seem to want to sort it. We were being served deserts at 8pm and told we needed go leave at 8pm, we weren't advised of this time limit on the table and hadn't been there very long, we felt extremely rushed. At the end we all paid individually and we were told that we had under paid and were asked to pay the service charge. It was only after we realised that this was optional, and based on the service I don't feel we should have paid it. They did make a fuss of our friend and sang happy birthday, which was nice. However overall we left feeling a little disappointed by the general service and feeling of being rushed at no fault of our own!

What a lovely experience. Food was utterly tasty. Service was wonderful. Staff were so friendly with our little boy, engaging with him and making it such a pleasant experience. We visited the park across the road first too. A great family afternoon. We will be back soon!
