Fantastic authentic Italian food, lovely intimate atmosphere, attentive staff. An absolute pleasure to find this restaurant in Ingelton we visited twice whilst on holiday.

We’ve eaten here on a couple of occasions now and both times it’s been fantastic. Absolutely amazing service and the food is delicious. Very tasty and the seafood was especially good with myself and a friend loving the mussels and prawns that were stand out starters. Ingleton is fortunate to have a place like this and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Antonio was also kind enough to come and chat to us all later in the evening and make sure we were all happy, which after a busy shift was good of him!

Lovely and intimate restaurant, fantastic food. Best tapenade we’ve ever eaten. Both went for pasta dishes with a pizza garlic bread and each were amazing. Can’t wait to come back.

I have been to this restaurant many times. Historically the food has been fabulous and the sevice is great. And I promote healthy honest bussiness all the times .However….. u can only truly judge a great place when something is “ no quite right”. I never touched my meal this evening ; the mussels did not smell great!! I was not going to risk eating it.. I am not a chef but travel often and am an Experienced cook. Antonio freaked out when I asked if the shell fish had been previously frozen? He replied by refusing to cook a replacement.meal. I offered to pay but he just freaked out..Absoultly no customer service what so ever. .Quite childllike to me to be honest! Overall it’s a lovely quaint restauart which we all should support, it really is lovely. However if the boss doesn’t listen to their customers then he is sure to fail. I always try to post positive and honest reviews. Hopefully restaurant owners read this and improve their flaws. Everything is now consumer led. !!!!

A lovely little restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere.

5 of us visited on Saturday evening and it did not disappoint. The food was incredible. We had a variety of prawns and mozzarella starters, garlic breads, pasta and pizzas and was delicious authentic food. It’s very small so very important to book as tables were being turned away while we were there. Also tips can only be paid in cash and was very lucky we managed to scrape a good time together but could have been a different story so remember to take cash, the waitress that served us was so lovely.

Lovely meal here at the weekend, we both picked options from the Specials Board and they were gorgeous. It's only a tiny place, so glad we booked in advance, great food and service, we'd go back if we're in Ingleton again.

An excellent find, recommended to us by friends. The delicious food, drinks and service are all superb, so much so that we dined here twice in a three night stay! This is a lovely authentic traditional Italian restaurant in the heart of Ingleton village, not to be missed!

Lovely restaurant, had a fabulous meal here with friends. We had Slow Cooked Short Rib of Beef Briskett (5 hrs) in Red Wine, Onion, Fresh Basil & Tomato Ragu Style Sauce with Fresh Tagliatelle. One of our group had the Braised Wild Boar Filled Parcels served with Wild Mushrooms, Black Truffle Oil & Black Truffle Shavings. Desert was Tiramisu & Cheesecake. All very delicious served with excellent wine and very good service. Will definitely return next time we’re in the area.

Fabulous freshly cooked food, especially loved the mixed bruschetta and vegan bruschetta starters. A lot of choice, so took us a while too choose, which unfortunately meant we felt rushed throughout our meal. Will definitely visit again, but book a later time so nobody will be waiting for our table.

We arrived on the dot of 6pm and ordered drinks. Then a table of 5 arrived who not only got drinks but the waitress took their food order. So we had to wait until their food was ready before we could order food. It was a 50 minute wait altogether for our food to arrive. The pasta I had was very nice but cost £17 for 5 pieces in a sauce that tasted suspiciously like Aldi's tomato and mascarpone sauce.

Best pasta we’ve had from an Italian restaurant anywhere. Great little place. Friendly staff spot on.

A really enjoyable meal freshly cooked in a rustic atmosphere, with caring, attentive but not overbearing staff. One place not to miss if you are nearby. Priced amazingly well for the fare you got.

Booked a table for four. Sunday 26/5. Started off with mussels and Tomato/Garlic bread...Followed by pasta dishes..The food was tasty and cooked to perfection. The meal was followed by sherry and coffee. One of the best Italians we have tasted Great location..Friendly staff...Recommended

A real gem! I arrived in Ingleton on a Friday night and was able to ring and book a table for an hour's time. The service is friendly, and the restaurant is decorated with family photos and drawings by the owner's children, creating a cosy atmosphere. The menu is extensive and I enjoyed a couple of starters, a vegetarian lasagne from the specials board, and tiramisu gelato - all were delicious and well presented. They prefer cash payment, which I didn't have, but I nipped next door to the coop to withdraw some. I enjoyed my visit so much that I returned the next night to try a pizza, which was also good, but not as special as the lasagne. La Tavernetta seems to be a regular treat for the locals, and is well worth a visit while staying in Ingleton!

Cosy, authentic and great Italian food

Chef is obsessed with the door being closed ffs, We booked last weekend for tonight and was told we hadn’t when we turned up at 6.45 all the way from Liverpool You know how and when we booked

Went for a celebratory family dinner; cosy table for eight. Great food, lovely atmosphere and chef/owner Antonio in very good form. Finished off with limoncello. Great night. Would not hesitate to recommend a visit, but book beforehand.

Very good food and service however the restaurant is quite small and can feel a tad crowded but don't let that put you off ! Because of the limited covers & popularity I strongly recommend booking well in advance especially in the holiday season!

Lovely little place with a great menu. The food was delicious. Particularly enjoyed mixed bruschetta starter. Negative points were no card reader and no coffee. The Churros were particularly good, nice crème brûlée but unfortunately too small for My appetite! Highly recommend and we would of returned for a second visit but fully booked.

We brought family to eat here, including my son's Nepalese parents-in-law who speak no English, and the whole experience was very good. The antipesto and two following courses were all excellent (we even tasted each other's dishes!) -the memorable comment from Kal, my daughter-in-law, was that the mussels and prawns were the best-cooked that she has eaten in her life!

If I could give 6 stars I would. From the first time we walked through the door we were greeted and treated amazingly. Excellent small location with the chef coming out and seeing the guests. Food was out of this world , all freshly cooked and great atmosphere. Just perfect.

Very very average food. Actually the king prawns in the spicy sauce were nice, so credit where credit is due, but in my opinion it’s massively overpriced. Twenty quid for a slightly overdone 10” tuna and onion pizza is pushing the boundaries of taking the Michael. They’ll survive due to the footfall. I wouldn’t go back.

Small and authentic with excellent food. However, notified on arrival that it was cash only and there was a cash point at the Co op next door. Inconvenient. You have to wonder why, particularly when there is no bank in the village.

Booked in this evening for 2014 got a text saying bit of a problem and could we dine at 630 pm suited us . Now for the food so fabulous how Thst guy even cooks in such a tiny space is beyond me . Every course we had three each was amazing . No New Zealand Sauvignon bit disappointed but took the Pinot Grigio which was okay . Waitress very friendly and attentive . Second visit here won’t be our last for sure .

We visited La Tavernetta for dinner while holidaying in Ingleton, and are so pleased to have visited. Ingleton punches above its weight in that it has a top quality Italian restaurant, in addition to many other restaurants and attractions. The food at La Tavernetta was excellent. The menu choices were impressive, especially the seafood options. However, we opted for one of the many vegetarian dishes. We ordered one of at least twelve different types of pasta on offer, and a pizza. The pasta sauce and the sun-dried tomato pizza topping deserve special mention, so deep and juicy were their flavour. We indulged in tiramisu and ice cream for dessert. The tiramisu was the best my wife had ever tasted, while I relished my raspberry sundae-style ice ice cream. La Tavernetta was rather small inside. Advance booking is essential to avoid disappointment. The interior decision was thoughtful, and transports you to Italy. The service was good. While food was a little slow, this is expected for an family-run establishment, and the food was well worth the wait. Overall, we had an amazing time at La Tavernetta, and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone!

It was 25 minutes from being seated before our drinks order was taken..our food took 55 minutes to arrive. 1 member of staff serving...the food as ever is excellent. 2 mature couples on another table were chatting, laughing and enjoying themselves the chef/owner told them to keep the noise down as their were tourists in the flat above and they would complain...it was 21:40 !!! We ordered a coffee at 9:30 to be told there would be a wait as the coffee machine had been turned off. We have visited this restaurant on numerous occasions....we will not be back. On expressing our issues with the owner they were not accepted in a professional manner. On leaving we left the door open to allow the young lady outside to enter...the owner thought it appropriate & professional to bellow down the street after us! We understand that service can be busy, however it is polite and professional to communicate that to a client on entering the restaurant....very bad service and attitudes that really spoil what could be fabulous.

This is our favourite Italian restaurant, Antonio is the perfect host, his food is cooked with love, the restaurant is cosy and the service is perfect. We are so lucky to have this wonderful venue on our doorstep.

We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here as it was recommended by our hosts at Thornbrook barn. We had the most delicious meal - we don't often push the boat out with 3 courses but this was difficult to resist. There is attention to detail with every course and our hot starters of arancini and cod goujons were followed by the tortelloni pasta and pizza and topped off with chocolate fudge and the ice cream with amaretti. It's such a cosy and personal space so we already are hoping to come again when we are travelling north or south. Thankyou for such a memorable evening.

Best pizza I've ever had! Stunning food here, we visited last night (2 adults and 2 kids) and it was excellent. I had the 4 salami pizza which was delicious. My kids had a pizza each and a bowl of pasta to share. My wife had the mozzarella pasta bake with peas and mushrooms. Thankfully she saved me a little and it was so good! What a wonderful spot! We were treated to some absolutely gorgeous pasta and pizza, with some of the best bread I've had to start, by La Travernetta. This little spot has a big punch, and I truly recommend coming to try some incredible house made Italian. If we're ever in town, we'll definitely come again! Thank you!

Last night of our mini-moon, we had a nice meal. Food was okay, bruschetta starter very salty, spaghetti bolognese was lovely. Staff were friendly and efficient. Just one server in a small space and did really well. Unfortunately, I did get very ill that night after eating here. Not sure if it was the bruschetta or the spaghetti. The food was absolutely authentic, very tasty and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is very small, about 16 covers in all, making it very homely. The owner and chef is Italian and I would say it's the best Italian food I have had outside Italy. And they did an authentic Tirimisu, my favourite dessert. I would have no hesitation in recommending La Tavernatta to anyone.

Intimate restaurant, pre-booking is essential. The white wine we ordered was unavailable but had a lovely substitute. Had one of the best starters I’ve ever eaten: the Tricolore had top quality ingredients and included perfectly ripe avocado and fresh basil. The olive oil and herb dressing was so tasty we had a basket of perfect bread to mop it up. My main was tuna in tomato sauce over pasta. After the fantastic starter it utterly failed to deliver. Either the tuna was out of a tin or so overcooked it might as well have been. The sauce was fine. Biggest disappointment was that the dishes we were served our mains in were cold. That wasn’t too bad for me because of the sauce, but my partner who had clams with spaghetti found her pasta went cold before she’d got the clams out their shells. Skipped dessert as nothing on the menu appealed. I’d happily revisit if we’re in Ingleton again.

An amazing Italian tucked away in the Dales. Great menu, all freshly prepared and equally great service. Menu included a good range of pizza and pasta dishes, an interesting selection of wines and some great desserts. Just a lovely restaurant and definitely worth booking.
