THIS IS THS BEST TAKEAWAY I HAVE BEEN TO IN A VERY LONG WHILE THE DELIVERY TIME WAS EXCELLENT THE FOOD WAS RESTAURANT QUALITY VERY PLEASED THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

I’m amazed to find reviews over two!! I’m not sure if the business is under new management because the food is not comparable to my first visit. Garlic mushrooms was inedible and the main meal wasn’t correct even though it was read back at time of order. The offer to replace the main part of the meal while leaving the rest of the food to be cold is NOT ACCEPTABLE. After strongly refusing, the food was repackaged collected one hour later with a refund that was short changed. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

On holiday at Raywell Lodge Park nearby. Probably the best pasta take away I’ve had in years. Highly recommend.

Food turned up 40 mins late, cold, and two dishes with hair in. Appalling customer service when I rang to complain. Manager screamed down the phone at me. 0/10 DO NOT recommend. Still haven’t had my refund

If you want to eat at a place that screws over loyal customers then come here. Over an hour & twenty minutes for delivery, forgot the coke & garlic sauce we had ordered. Called up to ask if they could get the rest of the order back to us, was told an hour, after some consultation they offered to get it back to use within an hour and said they would deliver a garlic bread cheese so we had something to use the garlic sauce with. Needless to say it has been two hours since that call, to add insult to injury they haven’t even called me back as promised if they couldn’t make the delivery,. Who knows they may not even attempt to refund my order. MY ADVICE IF YOU WANT TO ORDER FROM SOMEWHERE THAT VALUES LOYAL CUSTOMERS ——— go somewhere else. TRY POCOS ON BEVERLEY RD.

1 hour 40 minutes to deliver 2 medium pizzas and a bag of chips. Really? Were they waiting for the potatoes out back to grow for the chips?

Ordered from here while staying at Raywell Hall Country Lodge Park. Took a good 20 minutes to get through on the phone due to the line being busy and we were told a one hour wait for our food but we agreed to this. Around an hour later our food arrived - it was warm but not hot, however I am not one to complain so I popped it in the microwave for a couple of minutes and all was well I had the linguine carbonara and my boyfriend had the linguine with bolognese, and we shared a portion of chips & a garlic bread. The food was absolutely amazing when heated up - the carbonara was the best I’ve ever had and my boyfriend said his was extremely nice too. It was the quality of food which I would pay for at a restaurant. We were also kindly allowed to pay by card due to having no cash with us Overall, this was one of the nicest takeaways I have ever had which is why I’m leaving this review. Wait times aren’t the best but in my eyes if somewhere is that busy then it is bound to be nice food and I can back up this theory

truly authentic flavours of Italy. Not the cheapest but certainly worth the cost..Although not Italian ,try the stroganoff well worth it.

Popped in one evening after a hard day, was nearby the bus stop and had some time before bus arrived. Staff said hello waited on for me to order. Took about 15 - 20mins. took home was still warm. and very nice.

My family bought a takeaway from here on Christmas Eve. The order was taken upon arrival after we waited a short while for the customer before us to question his total - which was wrong and was being overcharged for food he didn’t order. I notice two pizza boxes on top of the oven from when we entered the takeaway, thinking that they will just be empty boxes ready to use. After the two pasta meals were finally cooked, the guy handed us the two pizza boxes from on top of the oven - which had been sat there around 20 mins at this point. I queried if they were still fresh and hot, to which I touched underneath the pizza and they were warm but not good enough to eat. The guy offered to make them again, resulting in us waiting more time for them to be remade and cooked thoroughly. The pasta was lovely, but the pizza’s are nothing special. It was disappointing to say the least after choosing this takeaway from recommendations.

Despite the bad reviews, me and my partner fancied something a little different so thought we’d go ahead! Food was absolutely amazing. We had a pasta dish each and a pizza to share and wow it was so filling, it’s more than what you would spend on your average takeout but definitely worth the money and will 100% use again!

I thought I would give this takeaway a try, I generally use another local takeaway in Cottingham bit I fancied a change. , The pizza was awful and the chips were very salty I could not eat them, sorry to say I will not be visiting again and I will stick to my other takeway place.

I have used this takeaway numerous times and now I have to say the food is getting better (love the sauteed potatoes).

Mejor comida para llevar en Hull, las pizzas son más cerca de un restaurante italiano estándar sentarse que son comida para llevar absolutamente de primera clase. Las hamburguesas mientras está genial en ese nivel no son bastante, pero no me voy a volver una y otra vez para pizza

I order food from La Scala from time to time. The pizzas are of quiite a good standard, although the garlic bread is often quite dry. The pasta meals are nice. The Carbonara is very tasty but the chicken in sauce can be a bit salty.

You can order by phone or on the Just Eat website, food always delivered hot and fresh. Plenty to choose from . The chips are lovely

This is a great takeaway serving traditional pizzas although we have had some great food dishes that they sell, they have an excellent range of pasta, chicken and beef dishes .

Ordered a meal included in one of their offers but was then told that the meal was excluded from the offer (even though it appears on their menu as an option) so they charged full price on collection. After a further check at home rang La Scala to let them know that they had either overcharged me or had misleading advertising. Got a mouthful of abuse by the male who deal with my call who also said that the manager would call me back.....he didnt!. Wrote to the manager to let him/her know about the overcharge and the abuse and was ignored. Am a local resident and will never use this place again. Absolutely disgusting service and if they place so little value on customers it raises questions about their food preparation. Order from La Scala at your peril.
