Food was really delicious, we had a good chat with the boss.

Food was ok and we were a party of around 20 to 30 people and we have booked in advance from a U3A Spanish Class Group + family and friends the ONLY waitress was rude and got very stressed; feel the place needs more than one waitress for s Saturday afternoon; it was a really bad customer experience…

Traditional Spanish tapas, every dish is delicious and service was great. Highly recommend this place for authentic and mouthwatering Spanish food and brilliant service. Great cocktails too!

Absolute shockingly rude waiter. Old man who should retire himself from the service industry. I think he was the owner/ manager. Barked at us and seemed unable to deal with a larger group. Shame as the place is cozy. Go elsewhere if you want a pleasant experience.

I was really looking forward to this and, being a party of 20 people on a Thursday night, we made the restaurant a lot of money, at least over £500, which I strongly doubt they would ordinarily have on a Thursday night. I was disappointed with the rude behaviour of the man serving us who I believe was the owner but I cannot say for sure. He was not happy with the fact that we did not take the £30 per head unlimited tapas deal. We were not informed of this deal on booking and if they wanted to obligate us to take that for a large party they should have said at the point of booking so that we could have pre-planned . He said to me in a very rude tone, " So it's going to be individual orders like this all night then!" He got us all to pay separately and calculate our own bills which is fair enough but he communicated this to us in an aggressive tone and then hit us with gratuity at the end. Suffice to say, they lost their tip, as when my colleagues heard that he was rude to me, they did not feel like tipping as the party/celebration was for me. Also, as stated in other reviews, he was slamming down glasses all night (this sounds like same man from other reviews.)The waitresses were lovely and it's such a shame that his behaviour put a dampener on the evening. It was my work leaving party. I was happy with the company of my soon to be former colleagues and tried not to let him spoil my night but I cannot honestly recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially larger groups. I have lived and studied in Spain before and, to me, the food was mediocre. It did not taste great, especially the tortilla española, which is normally my favourite. Rude and arrogant behaviour is bad for business.

Pequeño, acogedor, amable, auténtico - sensación restaurante con un excelente menú. Visitamos dos veces esta semana, elegimos diferentes platos y vino, todo excelente. Muy recomendable si te gustan las tapas y la comida española, en particular gallega, y buena relación calidad-precio también.

Authentic Spanish food and intimate service

Honestly I don’t understand how this place is always busy! The food was below average and so salty. The staff was okay but not super friendly. We were quite disappointed

If you’re looking for a little Spanish flair, then look no further than La Rueda Tapas Bar, the authenticity slaps you in the face as your enter the warm and welcoming restaurant! Get greeted by a joyful gentleman who I assume runs the place! The overall vibe from the staff is great.. and the FOOD!… It’s so hard to find delicious Spanish cuisine done correctly, but my gosh have they got it right here, my mouth is still salivating after the gigantic fish paella I shared with my boyfriend, we also had some titillating starters and enjoyed a delicious shot of lemon cello to end the whole evening. This is absolutely a place to go if you’re looking for authentic Spanish cuisine and zesty good vibes!

What a great pick! Delicious food, great staff and prices. There was a mix up with your paella but they were very professional about it and when we accepted the error they gave us one dessert on the house. Thank you -will definitely be returning

I visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening. I ordered a dish with octopus which was very salty. The Fried anchovie and ox tongne dishes were good. The man who served us wasn't friendly and put the dishes down without a word. I don't think we would go back there again.

Why bother booking, they don't check and just give the table away if people walk in before you

I highly recommend this local tapas restaurant, it may be new to Ealing, but I hope it sticks around for a long time! The menu is delicious and offers a great variety, and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. We loved everything we ordered, and when we celebrated my neighbour’s birthday there, the team went above and beyond to make it a memorable experience. Definitely worth a visit!

Authentic high quality tapas. The best outside Spain I've had and quite frankly better than much of what's in Spain. Many dishes to choose from. Patatas Bravas as they should be!

There are no Spanish restaurants in West London, so this is very helpful! This is delicious! There is nothing in particular They serve delicious food at reasonable prices. Risotto must be ordered.

We went for an early meal before heading into town and found this authentic Spanish tapas bar, staffed with friendly Spanish staff. We opted for 5 veggie tapas plus a bottle of wine between us. All 5 dishes were very tasty, if you like aubergine you must have the aubergine with date sauce which was so good! It only cost £65 (including a tip) which is pretty good for London prices.

Went on a Sunday & they were quite busy. I've never had Spanish food before but I'm a West Indian man & I have to say...the food was absolutely fantastic. So many flavours & the wine list is really good!!! I highly recommend this restaurant!!!!

I visited the venue with a friend on Thursday evening. Not particularly busy but we did have a booking. We were denied a table away from the opening doors as it was just two of us, which I fully appreciated at the time since the other tables were a table of 4. However, those tables were later then made available to couples arriving after us. Food was nice but let down by the unfriendly service. Not a venue I would visit again or recommend as the quality of the food in my opinion did not outweigh the service. However my friend would visit the venue again. Guess you have to experience it to make your own mind up.

Good food and atmosphere, great staff as well

I recently visited this restaurant for my sister’s birthday, and while the atmosphere was cozy and calm, the experience was disappointing overall. The food was inconsistent—some dishes were decent, but many lacked seasoning, especially salt. The biggest issue came with a homemade cake we brought. My mom and I worked hard on the cake, including a special handmade icing. When the staff brought it out, the icing was missing. They threw it away without informing us, claiming it had torn. We were upset that they didn’t show us or give us a chance to decide. No proper apology or compensation was offered, which made the situation worse. A word of advice: Do NOT bring a homemade cake to this restaurant. They might ruin or throw it away, like they did with ours. The service was okay—not bad, but nothing exceptional either. It was good, but not brilliant. Also, they don’t do anything special for celebrations, so don’t expect any extra touches or special treatment for events like birthdays. That said, the highlight of the meal was the Jumbo Spanish Ham. It was freshly cut in the restaurant and tasted amazing. It was by far our favorite dish of the night, and we would definitely recommend trying it. Overall, the poor handling of our cake and the inconsistent food quality left us disappointed. While the Jumbo Spanish Ham was a standout, I wouldn’t recommend this place for special occasions.

Dante, the restaurant, the team, but the food most of all deserve every 5 star review they get. Truly some of the tastiest tapas in a long time! The octopus was WOW, my favourite dish I think. I will be returning many many times!

Went out for Tapas at La Rueda Spanish Tapas Bar in Ealing. We were there in the early evening, so it wasn’t busy, and we could sit in the (open) window area looking out onto the street. With the hot weather, we weren’t that hungry, so we had only a few dishes. I love the rustic Spanish feel to the place, look out of the windows and you are in bustling Ealing with cars and buses driving past, look into the restaurant, and suddenly you are transported to the back streets of a Spanish town. The decor, the bar, the tables, all make for an authentic experience of a local tapas bar. We had the Patatas Bravas, triple fried potatoes, spicy brava and infamous Spanish aioli garlic mayonnaise sauce. Not sure if the triple frying helped, as the potatoes weren’t that crispy. However they were nice, I liked the spicy brava, and the mayonnaise was an interesting addition. Another of our dishes was the Pollo a la Plancha, described as grilled spicy boneless chicken thighs served with Spanish alioli garlic mayonnaise sauce. Now the photograph in the online menu shows whole chicken thighs, so I was a little surprised when we were served with chicken skewers. They were served on a flat bread, well more of a wrap than a flat bread. The chicken was moist, tender and full of flavour. Alongside the chicken we had the Pinchos Morunos, grilled spiced lamb skewers, chimichurri served with humus. These were tender chunks of lamb with peppers and onions. Like the chicken cooked well and full of flavour, as well as being served on a flat wrap. It came with a small portion of hummus, I probably would have liked more hummus, but then I probably needed to order hummus off the menu. Out final dish was the Calamares, fried squid rings in batter. Lovely crispy batter and tender squid. Delicious. The service was excellent, I liked how they served ice with their tap water, I also had an alcohol free beer. If I wasn’t driving I would probably have had a red wine.

I had dinner here and I must say, that their food is super delicious!!! Service is 5 stars too…! and the atmosphere makes you just feel like you want to stand up and dance 😆 I really recommend this place , try it and you won’t be disappointed!!

Amazing food, really lovely staff (who also put on a bit of a spectacle for my wife's birthday!). Atmosphere is generally really lovely but some tables are a bit close together - but that's a testament to how busy they are! A really great place to eat.

Waiter tries but has zero knowledge of what his job is about. An advice, if you see an empty glass... it will take you 5 seconds to ask if you can server another drink

La Rueda is, in my opinion, the only authentic Spanish restaurant in Ealing. The friendly staff make you feel right at home, and the food is absolutely delicious. From the traditional tapas to the hearty main dishes, every bite is a taste of Spain. The smooth Sangria is the perfect complement to the meal, refreshing and full of flavour. Whether you're looking for a casual night out or a special occasion, La Rueda is the perfect spot for a genuine Spanish dining experience. Highly recommended!

Table reserved a few days ago for 7pm. 3 girlfriends getting together to enjoy dinner. Food was very good however the service was brusque and surly. Once we finished dessert our bill was sharply slapped down uninvited on the table The place was very overcrowded with people standing and waiting for tables. No ambience. Minutes later and waiter returned to collect payment. We said we were not ready and asked him to come back explaining that we had a reservation and had been there less than an hour and we were the last table to enter the restaurant. The man looked uncomfortable and motioned to the waiting customers. We agreed to go as we felt uncomfortable and harassed. We said we would not pay the service charge settled the bill and left. Nice food terrible service. Wondering why we were the only ones being pushed out I we noted that every other table had at least one man there. I would never return

Cosy restauarnt that does a Really good paella

Everything was freshly prepared. The paella pan for 2 people was awesome. The staff very friendly.

We discovered La Rueda over 8 years ago and have been visiting frequently since. It is one of our favourite local restaurants. Great spanish food, lovely menu and wine list. When we have visitors we alway make a point of taking them at La Rueda - they always deliver. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. My suggestion would be reserve a table in advance as it gets busy there. 😊

La Rueda is a nice cosy restaurant with efficient staff and great food. There’s a great variety of tapas with an equal number of vegetarian, meat, and seafood options. The paellas are delicious and well presented although on the slightly pricey side. Overall, highly recommended.

Visited Saturday eve 8pm - quite busy but staff very accommodating and attentive. Food very tasty - authentic. Great for a date night or catch up with palls. Didn’t manage to take pictures of all the dishes as they were too tasty! YUM!

Accommodating of my dietary needs as I cannot eat dairy. It was a great experience and the food is very tasty. My friend and I had a nice time.

I could here the staff working in the small kitchen very noisy. The owner or manager was talking very very loud, arguing on the phone , i had to hang up my phone. I order a tortilla who was smaller the a desert. The wine was good

Good food and atmosphere. After sharing some tapas dishes, we were 4 and ordered paella for 2 persons which was just right amount for us.

The food was average here. We ordered croqueta which was with ham and delicious. The fried calamari was chewy which was surprising. The tomato and onion salad had such spicy onions that even though I love onions I struggled to eat them. The prawns with chilli and garlic was great. Service decent and very nice ambiance

La Rueda is two rooms with a small kitchen. The tapas is varied and often flavourful. We visited on a Saturday at 8pm. It was very busy. The sangria lacked punch, and felt quite watery. The patas bravas arrived first and was great - punch garlic aoli, well prepped potato’s, crunchy on the outside and fluffy inside. The meatballs came next and were forgettable - bland and in a fresh but very basic sauce. The tomato bread was heavy on the bread and low on the tomato. Special mention to the carnitas taco, spicy and with a great mix of flavours, and the shrimps in garlic which were fresh and perfectly cooked. We split a Bavarian cheesecake after which was good. By 9:30 the restaurant was empty save for us and another couple. We were a bit forgotten about, which was a shame. The bill was very reasonable and nothing we ate was bad, but very little of it stood out. The end takeaway is that La Rueda is a good, simple tapas place.

Went with the wife and another couple after previously being regular diners at their former restaurant in Marylebone which sadly closed. The food was as good as we had hoped, we had the Pimentos De Padron, Tortilla, Gambas, Chorizo in red wine, Patatas Brava, Pulpo, Calamari and Artichokes….all were excellent but the Chorizo & Gambas were spectacular! The wine was very reasonable at £22 for a bottle of Spanish Sauvignon Blanc, whilst my wife had a glass of the red Rioja at £9 a glass. The creme Catalana was slightly disappointing but overall the meal was excellent and our friends thoroughly enjoyed a genuine Spanish tapas experience. We will certainly return soon….

My daughter and I have been coming to this restaurant for several years, it never disappoints, they have added some new tapas, we tried the aubergine and date sauce which was really delicious, wonderful lunch served by Tony who was extremely busy today but still has time for regular customers. Highly recommended for good value for money

We returned to this restaurant today with a party of 4. We had an early booking and we stayed 3 hours eating and drinking. At no time were we rushed. The staff were excellent , friendly and helpful. The food of course was absolutely delicious. I cannot recommend high enough. This restaurant is a gem. We will be back again for sure.

Food is very solid, better than Spanish food in Spain 80% of the time. I was pleasantly surprised. Staff if OK, not great, there was a guy getting us the bill that clearly didn't want to be there. He also couldn't do math when we split the bill and he got annoyed at us - a minor incident

Now our go to tapas restaurant when we are in Ealing visiting our oldest son and girlfirend who dine here regularly. When I asked them if their squid was gluten-free they coated it in gram flour for me and it was crispy and delicious. I didn't share much of it!!

Food was nothing special. I really enjoyed patatas bravas but that’s pretty much about it. When food was brought to the table waiter did not mention names of the dishes therefore it was a bit of guessing game.

We were disappointed. The chorizo in sauce was inedible - tasted like it had been cooking for days and definitely tasted strange of off meat; I don't ever leave food but we couldn't eat it. All other dishes average - two of the four halloumi rolls were fridge cold inside and also, the chicken thighs, sorry but the ones in nandos are 10 times better, which is saying something. Sorry, but not for us.

I have to give this 4 stars only due to a few reasons. I visited for the first time back in march and declared it to be the best tapas I have ever had namely the octopus dish and patatas bravas. I returned a couple of days ago to treat and friend firstly we had a booking but they seemed surprised and sat us in the back area alone. We ordered an octopus dish each amongst a number of other items. When the dishes came out - very quickly I was surprised that the octopus dish was served completely differently to how I had it only a few months ago. I ate it and it was ok but I believe the portion of octopus was a lot less (it was cut up into small pieces on my this visit and previously whole tails) and it was missing the green marinate which really set off the dish. Also served with different and less potato (See pictures). I did mention this to the two waiters but neither seemed to care. I could also hear one of the waiters/manager making demands to the chef constantly repeating stuff like ‘they asked for sauce on the side this isn’t on the side’ while I understand this needs to be done - I was seated at my table quite a distance away and don’t expect to hear this. It is good food but having spent over £100 on dinner for two this visit did not entice me to return again.

I am pretty sure there is no better place to eat Tapas in London. We've tried, but this place gets everything right. Amazing experience every time - thank you to the staff working tonight!

All the tapas where amazing, would highly recommend. They are very chilled and dont rush you to leave, after 4 hours we sampled loads of the tapas and the croquetas where amazing.
