Meeting up with a large group of friends, we found the restaurant spacious with good service and tasty food. The choice on the menu suited all , ‘The specials’ did not disappoint. Everyone was happy with their meal. A good choice for all .

Stopped off here for lunch as in Chingford. Although they were a few tables when we arrived, when we left, there wasn't a table available. A good selection on the menu. Staff were friendly

I love this restaurant and the food is very good. However, I am very concerned that none of the staff wear face masks! They have apparently been told by the management ( who also never wear masks) that it's not compulsory. FYI manager, the government guidance is as follows: "Face coverings must be worn by retail, leisure and hospitality staff working in any indoor area that is open to the public and where they're likely to come into contact with a member of the public."

La Rocca, Chingford Mount, if this restaurant was in Station Road E4, you would pay twice as much, run by a husband and wife team, good authentic Italian food, cooked lovingly and tastes divine and best of all not overly expensive. Highly recommend.

Delicious pizza - we had the 4 cheeses pizza, which the chef made especially despite it being off menu. Food came very fast, the pizza was authentic and freshly made. They also gave us a free desert! Really happy

We've been here a couple of times before, so we knew we could rely on La Rocca to provide us with a first-class meal on New Year's Eve, and we weren't wrong. We were little worried about the place being fairly empty when we arrived, but by the time we left, around 10.30 pm, it had filled up nicely.So had we: appetisers followed by the starters, and my fried calamari was delicious, as were all of my fellow diners' choices. The main course also more than met our expectations, both in terms of portion size and quality of the food. And what I also greatly appreciated was the limited number of items of the menu, probably no more than 15 of each course to choose from, a good indication of the food being freshly and individually cooked.The service was excellent too, from real Europeans including some genuine Italians, and all very friendly, helpful and efficient. The meal wasn't cheap, just under £50 each including wine and tips, but for a quality meal, you must expect to pay the right price.

Soy un poco habitual en La Rocca, pero nunca miro el menú, ya que siempre tengo lo mismo: risotto de mariscos. He tenido esto en muchos restaurantes italianos en todo el mundo, pero este es mi favorito. También hacen un excelente café Tia Maria y algunos buenos postres.

Petit restaurant italien super sympa, pas cher et très bon.Les serveurs sont très sympas et souriants.Nous avons pris la soupe du jour (soupe de légumes faite maison) qui était excellente ainsi que des bruschettas aussi très bonnes.Lasagnes maison aussi succulentes et un peu de parmesan râpé à la main par la serveuse.Je mets pas 5 pour une seule raison, la salle est malheureusement extrêmement bruyante et ça pourrait me faire hésiter à y retourner. Fuimos a almorzar y pedimos chefs spec 8 ap langosta linguini para platos principales. La langosta sabía congelada, estaba hecha y era como tratar de comer una vieja bota de goma. Envió el plato de vuelta después de solo tener 4 picaduras y me ofrecieron un desierto. Bill vino y pedí hablar con el gerente. El propietario apareció y comenzó a discutir sobre el hecho de que era fresco y no tenía nada de malo con el plato. La comida era INCREÍBLE cómo cocinaron y sirvieron 43 comidas maravillosamente bien presentadas era brillante. I can't fault this place based on my two recent daytime visits. Mostly excellent service from the friendly staff and the pizzas and other food we've had has all been delicious

Group of four called in for dinner on a Thursday night. Restaurant fairly busy but service was quick. Food was good quality and portions sizes were large. Great meal and very good value

We went to La Rocca for a anniversary dinner. The restaurant was busy but were able to accommodate us. The food was nicely presented and wine was very drinkable. As stated it was very busy so service was a trifle slow. But as we were in no hurry this was fine.

La Rocca is a fantastic restaurant, the food was served to a very high standard and you can dress casual which makes it even more inviting. I will recommend this Restaurant to anyone and everyone.

Really friendly restaurant and cafe and buzzy too. The food is delicious and very reasonable priced too. Well worth a visit. Just be aware of parking restrictions during the day.

Myself and my daughter visited here for breakfast one Sunday morning and were delighted we did. We were informed just after ordering that it will be about 15 minutes which we didn't mind, and a good job we didn't as everything was cooked fresh. I can honestly say it was the best cooked breakfast I have had and cooked to perfection.... not one thing I could fault... even my coffee was full of flavour and through my enjoyed. The service was very good with very friendly staff. We will most definitely be returning and have been recommending this establishment to others. Well worth a visit as it does not fail to disappoint. The restaurant was nearly full on Good Friday. The service was friendly and welcoming. Food very good we had monkfish skewers and chicken milanese. The desert cake of the day was a delicious fruit sponge. A nice atmosphere and an enjoyable evening good value for money. A really good restaurant in Chingford.

Still a very pleasant atmosphere, wines are good value for money, and imaginative and tasty Italian food. No wonder this restaurant always seems full!! Worth a try, enjoy!

Lunch on Christmas Eve was excellent. Service bang on, food with appeal and great flavour, good portion size, great service. It was relaxing, not fussed over but we'll looked after.

I have visited this restaurant many times, the food is OK, not exceptional, but the main reason I have kept returning is because of the welcoming atmosphere. The owner, Guy Catalano, is such a pleasant, friendly character. However I was very disappointed with my last visit. I was one of a party of six friends, getting together on a Saturday evening, looking forward to a nice relaxing time in this restaurant, instead of which, we were made to feel that they couldn’t wait to get rid of us. No sooner had we taken the last mouthfuls of our starters than our plates were whisked away from us and main courses slapped down on the table. We were all astounded at how quickly the second course came up, no time to even breathe between courses! Then, would you believe it, as soon as we had all finished the main course, dinner plates were immediately removed and the dessert menu produced. On several occasions we had to ask them to slow down as they kept pestering us to order our desserts. I could have understood this if it had been late, but we actually arrived at the restaurant at 7.30! We were made to feel very unwelcome, not quite right when spending almost £200 in their restaurant. I had been considering booking La Rocca for a Christmas meal, but this will now definitely not be happening. In fact I was so upset by this experience that it is very unlikely that I will ever go back to this restaurant again. Please take note La Rocca, you are not a fast food restaurant and there is a very big difference between being attentive and making your guests feel rushed and unwelcome.

Visited here the other Thursday night with my friend as she had never been. Absolutely delicious as always! Mains took a little while to arrive but they are definitely worth the wait as there are no doubts every meal is freshly cooked to order, we had a main, dessert and soft drink the bill came to £15 each, amazing value! The staff are so lovely and attentive, can totally tell the difference from a family run restaurant to a mass produced chain restaurant! Would fully recommend! See you again soon!!

The jacket potato is very tasty. Home mad lasagne is very nice. Guy the owner of the cafe and the resteraunt is very friendly, he comes and talks to you. The service is brilliant. I will be back to eat again.

Guy, Mirella and the team always make you feel welcome. Great food, large portions, if it's not on the menu they'll do their best to accommodate. All at reasonable prices. Do make the effort to go there, you wont be disappointed

I have been to this restaurant for the past two years. Previously it was a pizza express so I continued to go as it was somewhere local to go and take the kids for lunch. Pizza for kids are a good size. Chicken escalope very filling and a generous portion. Owner is friendly. Only negative is sometimes I have been there and the service is a little slow.

I have always driven past this restaurant never having time to stop and give it a try and the first time I do I was very disappointed not only with the food but the service I received. When I expressed my feelings that I was not happy with the food it had no taste and could not eat anything more than one slice the manager was very offensive and rude toward me my sister and my son and refused to help instead became insulting.

The atmosphere is great, the owner runs around and feels like a real Italian family run restaurant. Would recommend for any occasion. You can request any dish or wine in advance and will be catered for with joy from the staff.

Good food for a local restaurant. Starters seem to be made of cheaper ingredients than the main courses but are ok. Very generous size portions for the main courses which are always tasty. Live music nights every so often are popular, lively and good fun. Would recommend for both a quiet night out or a noisy night out on music nights.

This is our local Italian restaurant. Run by Guy and Mirella, it is a very friendly restaurant adjoining their café next door. Both premises are gradually getting busier and busier as their reputation spreads but "regulars" are known by first names and are treated more as friends than customers. Whether you want three courses or simply a pizza, it is always a pleasure to go and have a freshly cooked meal in this charming environment.

Whilst staying in the area for a family visit to London, we stopped in here for an evening meal. We were fairly early so the place was quiet, but that was good for us with two small children. The staff were attentive and friendly. Orders were taken quickly. Overall the food was great. It looked lovely and it tasted lovely.

This is a fairly new restaurant although it's "little sister" Caffe Rocca has been next door for sometime. The restaurant was a Pizza Express for several years & more recently an Italian restaurant, but I think part of a chain & rather short-lived. La Rocca is family owned & it shows in the welcome & ambience. Myself, my husband & friends have been there a few times & without exception the food has been delicious. I can especially recommend their pizzas, which are made in front of you, the liver which melts in your mouth & the king prawn risotto.Yes the service is on the tardy side but the food is cooked to order so don't expect fast food. Their prices are extremely reasonable, making it a venue you don't have to save up for or keep for special occasions.
