La Ma Ma Foods in Leicester

After a few recommendations thought i will try this place out. Unfortunately, didn’t meet my expectations. Ordered the Family deal 2. The pizza was okayish and the lemon chicken was quite bland. Overall service was really good just wish the food was a bit better. Open to giving it another go.

I was in the order queue before a woman. A woman steps in starts ordering they took her order. Then I asked if I can order the guy says wait a bit. Told them I am not ordering anymore and walked away. No more La mama and lemon chicken for me as they won’t get a single penny from me now!

Sorry i been there 1st time once i had one bad experience but I tried again it changed my mind best place after that i been there 20times really nice place and nice Panini.

Ordered 3 burger meals 2 chicken and 1 beef the beef was un cooked.

Speechless is what you’ll be when you try their handmade burgers, lemon chicken, Mediterranean chicken baguette- chefs kiss! Allahuma barek. The brothers in there bring Algeria to the doorstep of Evington rd, always Quran on and the brothers reciting as they meal prep. Really wonderful atmosphere and they are only bothered with customer satisfaction. Everything in their menu is mouthwateringly tasty and cooked to perfection. Allahuma barek.

Absolutely horrible service, he didn’t allow us to eat in the store, also served other people who came in after us took 20 mins to put a panini in the panini press only for it to not even taste good. Ordered to dine in but told us to get out.

Most reasonable prices and very tasty food. Guys in there are so polite and friendly.

Very good food and well priced, the half chicken meal is very large and will fill one person up easily. Everything else also looked very good and the place was clean and nice. The staff were very nice aswell.

The food at La Mama was simply perfect the pizza was infathomably fresh and delicious. Furthermore the chips were perfectly guilded and the sauce so elegantly poured upon them was delectable. The burger spoke to my soul as the tender chicken was indulgent.

So ordered a steak baguette with chips and a 12 inch Mexican pizza. Took about 10 mins , the baguette was that good I nailed it so unfortunately no picture. The chips were hot and I got hot sauce on . The pizza was good but tasted like it was a shop pizza , think its the base that let it down. Total cost 14 quid

Ordered 2 Mediterranean chicken paninis and they were delicious and served hot. I have been eating from here for many years because there food is amazing. Don’t forget to ask for their special sauce it’s delicious not to spicy and goes well with chips and the baguettes or paninis. One of the best HALAL places in Leicester.

Still the best out of the two branches. Have been a regular customer since I was teenager and the recipe hasn't changed, consistently good food, at decent prices per head for some of the best roast chicken and lemon gravy, the chicken falls off the bone, need I say anymore? Always best to eat as soon as you get it and recommend chilli and special sauce on the chips

do not listen to earlier comment about no spices. there is 100s of indian places which do that if you want spices. la ma ma do great simple food. fresh tasting. meditarrian arab style. shame their pizzas are sold out atm

The food is very tasty, the staff are professional, respectful and the price is fair. I'd recommend the chicken burger and chips or the loaded chips with chicken.

Average at best. Stale chips and the steak is just a cooked meat on grill with no spices I assume.

Great stuff, one of my go to places in Leics. Shame they don’t accept card payment.

The best halal pizza in Leicester

I’ve been here a few times recently. The food is legit and the people are nice. Has a few seats to eat in. Chicken BBQ pizza was gorgeous. However people in the area are a bit aggressive. It can be difficult driving through Evington Rd and side streets. As they say A HUNGRY MAN IS AN ANGRY MAN.

I took a bite and it was super chewy i couldnt get my teeth through the meat so I took a look at the meat inside and I was SHOCKED to see my “medium cooked” steak baguette was RAW inside. Not pink, RED and fully uncooked. I feel sick to my stomach.

Quality has gone ! Care in cooking gone! The chicken fillet was over done to the point it has gone dry !!! The pizza , Chicken was tasteless and dry the pizza was over done to the point the crust was crunchy and the base. Crunchy croutons springs to mind! There lamb burger is good, but not enough to rescue today's experience. The Loaded fries chicken was dry and crispy Absolutely tasteless...and the cheese was just a lump on top of the fries shockingly bad, definitely not worth £5.50 !!!! Have been buying from the Evington Rd branch for over a decade and there has been a gradual decline in quality!!! We used to enjoy there food, not anymore! On top of that they can be quite abrupt in their customer service which was worth putting up with in the days when the food was worth it. Unfortunately we all agreed it was not worth the £30 we won't be eating there again which is such a shame.

Dont try to tell me you have had loaded fries until you ha e eaten at Lamama’s. Absolutely delicious and filling without spending a fortune. Very friendly helpful staff too. Will be back for sure!

Probably one of the best takeouts in Leicester. Definitely the best on the whole road which is littered with nonsensical fast food places which are just a waste of space.

Chicken is good but please, please, please pack the fries in a different box for delivery. All the fries were covered in the lemon sauces making them disgusting.

Their double beef burger is the actual one. It makes the belly bulge and is morish.

The best chicken and chips shop in Leicester. The grilled chicken is just fabulous and healthy, especially the lemon chicken. The sauces make it even more tasty especially the special sauce. Been visiting down here for 10 years and will do as long as I can. The staff are really down to earth and friendly.

Do not be fooled by the modest deco and size of this shop. The chicken here is awesome!!! The staff are brilliant and made sure we left happy. Not only did we eat in but took some back all the way to Bolton for family and friends. I've gone to many places but the chicken here is on a next level. The friendly staff tops of the whole experience. Honestly do not miss out. Once you've been you'll realise that what I've written in this review doesn't come close to doing it justice. PLEEEEASE open one in Bolton!!!

When your in Leicester this place is a must. HMC halal. The lemon chicken with gravy is awesome so is the lamb burger meal. Shop has seating but no much space also hygiene rating is 5. I recommend you try the chicken it is on point.
