Recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. Family run authentic Spanish Tapas. All the food was amazing but the ox cheeks were out of this world. Would highly recommend. £20-£30 per person including drinks. Definitely worth a visit. We will definitely be going back. Small popular restaurant so reserving is a must. 30.03.24 Third visit and still outstanding, highly recommend this restaurant.

Me and my partner had dinner here tonight and WELL we were very impressed! The quality and price of all the food was amazing, and not to mention the lovely owner and the team. We will definitely be traveling back from Cambridge for more of those tapas! 🤩🤩

I came here with a group of 3 other guy for a friend's birthday. However we came here after a disastrous dinner across the road at the Turkish restaurant. The host welcomed us with open arms, poured the Estrella and provided us with about 10 dishes of spanish heaven. Anyone local or visiting the area of Rushden, id highly recommend visiting La Estrella. Felt like being in Spain and you are made so welcome. Great little find. 👍🇪🇸

If I could give 0 I would Shocking service Food sub standard microwaved Hairs in food , looked like dog hairs. The most non authentic Spanish eatery. Manager rude and aggressive when constructively criticised. Bar staff drinking on the job and kitchen staff drinking a pint as cooking. Avoid like the plague ! EDIT I’m very confused as to the reply to this post I came with my partner and we had Different items as mentioned here and we certainly do not have a son. We visited a few weeks ago. So maybe have a re think on your response as I feel you have the wrong client. Clearly constructive criticism is not allowed in your establishment as we tried it for the first time , we were very disappointed despite the reviews before.

A nice tapas bar in Rushden serving some nicely cooked traditional dishes, plus a few I'd not seen before. I sampled 5 dishes which were all very tasty... the cod and beef cheek were particularly good. If anything I'd say that portion sizes are small (even though they are supposed to be 'small plates'), but they are reasonably priced.... meaning that you need to be prepared to order more of them. The restaurant is small and traditional and you'll def need to reserve as you edge towards the weekend. Staff were very pleasant and attentive, but not overpowering. Overall I'd definitely return. It's great to see an independent restaurant doing so well, in an area awash with stale chains.

What a find! Absolutely amazing food and really good value.

Amazingly tasty authentic tapas. Booked a table on the day and got in OK. Order a few plates twice which filled us up. Staff were great with allergy info and checking In with the kitchen. We left full and happy after a nice relaxed meal. The only downside was I found it a little noisy and hard to hear hubby or waitress talking.

Really good food. The best patatas bravas in the UK. I would recommend ternera con champiñones. Delicious. Nice stuff and nice staff. Angeles, the chef is amazing her Tarta de Santiago is so yummy. and the owner and the waitress are nice and friendly too. It worth a visit.

I feel really lucky have this amazing tapas restaurant really close to my house!!! In heaven. The food is so fresh and delicious !! I love sangria and their fabulous atmosphere. Staff make you feel at home. The lady that is working there was so willing helped me decorated for my boyfriend’s birthday and made the suprise with cake and music to him!!! She is so lovely and smiley all the time!!! I am really really greatful had a great night yesterday and my boyfriend’s really enjoyed his birthday night!!!!

The food here is AMAZING!! Never had a bad meal here and the atmosphere in the place is lovely. The young lady who normally serves us wasn't working last night; her service is always spot on and she is great at recommending food and wine but honestly, anything you choose will be delicious. My personal favourites are the beef strips in mushroom sauce (indulgent but so worth the calories!), the calamari (cooked to perfection every time) mixed seafood (the sauce is to die for, so make sure you have extra bread!), and the patatas bravas (carb lover's heaven). I made the mistake of having authentic tapas elsewhere recently and it was pretty poor in comparison. I won't be doing that again! The chef in La Estrella place knows flavour and clearly brings it to all their dishes.

Went here with my daughter recently and really enjoyed authentic spanish food which was cooked really well and served by fabulous people who clearly enjoyed working at the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit , we will be back 😃

We ate here this eve for the first time, the service was excellent and the food was to. We were embarrassingly loud and having so much fun ( thanks to the incredible margaritas & the gin ), our waiter said it was good to hear people having fun again 😬😬😬 Would highly recommend EVERYTHING!!! Look forward to a return visit ( if they will accept us?) lol Definitely one of Rushden’s best kept secrets 🙌

The food generally was good (beef rump strips were tough) and authentically Spanish, but individual tapas rather pricey, with potatoes bravas pushing £5 and the average dish £6 to £7. Worst thing about the experience was the Estrella Damm - well under a pint measure served and no life in it whatsoever - have never seen flat draught Estrella before!

Had a lovely meal in here for a friends birthday last night. As always the food was outstanding! Highly recommend the chicken in honey and the meatballs 😋. It has recently had a make over which gives a very authentic feel, the atmosphere is lovely and the owners are super lovely and give you the warmest of welcomes. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Me and my boyfriend just moved to the area and have been exploring places to eat in Rushden. This place is by far the best! The food is amazing, sangria and beer is amazing, and can’t forget to comment on how welcoming the staff are. Without a doubt we will be regulars at this place.

Really fabulous little restaurant. Happy, friendly staff. The tapas is so tasty and they do not keep you waiting. We had a great selection including calamari, patatas bravas, prawns, sweet potato fries and more - everything was delicious. A big jug of mojito was thoroughly enjoyed. Certainly has a holiday vibe going on - we completely forgot we were in Rushden!This is my second visit and I will definitely return. One not to be missed!

We popped up to rushden yesterday and booked for early afternoon lunch. What can I say! The food is beyond incredible, easily matching and bettering many other places. With the help of Julia and Alex we choose some amazing dishes, they even catered just for our 7 yr old, who was treated like a queen! The selection of beers, wines and soft drinks was really good and reasonably priced. The size, decor and cleanliness of this restaurant all come together to make it a really great eating experience. We’re definitely coming back and would whole heartedly recommend it to anyone. Thanks La Estrella, you were amazing.

Consistent food quality delivered yet again. Our first visit since Covid. Pre Covid visited often. Great menu, friendly waitress with attention to detail. Ambience gives you that holiday feeling. Another gem outside the Lakes complex. Support your local high street restaurants, established businesses. Treat yourselves you deserve it.

This is such a lovely tapas place. We went in for lunch and every dish is exceptional. The rump steak is divine, the pimientos padrones are lovely, the gambas delicious… and the sangria was perfect - not too sweet, not too bitter. Ambience is casual but would imagine in the evening it’s buzzing. Staff were friendly & helpful - we felt very welcome. We will definitely be going back.

After moving to Rushden and seeing the fantastic reviews for this restaurant we decided to book a table with friends and were not disappointed.We love Tapas food and visit Spain each year eating in local restaurants. I can honestly say that the tapas here is as good if not better than a local tapas meal in Spain. Restaurant was full so need to book for a Saturday night but would highly recommend. We will definately be back.
