Beautiful food all served piping hot and attractively displayed. We had six dishes plus a basket of bread between the two of us - we couldn’t finish it all! Great service in nice surroundings. With a bottle of wine the bill came to just over £60 - incredible value. It’s a shame there weren’t more people dining, although we were there very early in the evening before heading over to the nearby - and equally excellent - Foxlowe Arts Centre to see comedian Rich Hall. A great night much-enhanced by some great food.

Booked for my mother In law's 80th birthday. Always apprehensive going somewhere new to eat, especially for a special occasion. We were not disappointed. Ordered a wide range of tapas and two Paella. Could not fault anything and at about £25/ head with drinks we felt we certainly had value for money. Massive gluten free selection, all clearly marked on the main menu. I really hope people support this restaurant. It's fantastic to have somewhere like this on our doorstep. Cannot wait to go again.

First visit. Warm welcome. Food amazing. The menu was extensive but came pretty quickly. Everything was delicious. One of our party is vegetarian and that food was great too. Highly recommend

I had squid and Gambas which was superb. Not surprisingly the coffee was way better than franchise coffee. Very good value

Staying nearby in our camper van decided to give it a try. Booked a table for 7.15. Arrived on time and was greeted by really wonderful front of hose manager a young lady who was on a round the world trip. She made some recommendations from the Tapas menu. Well did they deliver the food was delicious and varied as you would expect from tapas. The quality of service and food was excellent. Down side, it was sad for the staff to have very few customers. For tapas I would suggest slightly smaller portions. Overall good food well presented great service and good value. We will be back when we visit this lovely town of Leek again.

We ordered a takeaway just as they finished taking orders. However, the person on the phone spoke to the manager and they agreed to deliver within 45 minutes. The food was outstanding - far exceeded our expectations, and excellent service. Highly recommend. If we’re this way again will certainly be ordering again.

An honest review, start with positives; sangria was freshly made and delicious, we had a nice melt in mouth lamb dish, no issues with the service. Negatives, area we sat in was quite cold, food came in cold plates and this coupled together made the food cold very quickly. Had an average patas bravas (strongly suspect they were frozen roast potatoes that had been fried) and an average pork belly dish (had a sauce that tastes just like watered down bbq sauce) Calamari was AWFUL, definitely not prepare fresh in restaurant, very uniform circular pieces of squid in a thick dense batter. No doubt bought in ready made and fried, like the ones I have bought myself from Iceland.

We visited La Casona last night for a meal and I can’t recommend the place highly enough. The food was absolutely stunning. For a tapas based menu, there was so much choice, choosing was hard! The staff were more than helpful during our meal and were always on hand to offer advice on what to order and answering any questions that we had about the food. We will certainly be going back!

Taking advantage of the 40% discount we were hoping to want to have a repeat visit. Having ordered 8 plates we were a little surprised to have all plates at the same time. Food was ok, some sauces were a little watery. For example the lamb and the BBQ ribs. We thought the evening would be a bit longer than an hour. It was an ok visit but not sure it's worth the full price.

Had a lovely meal last night. We were very pleased to see so many lamb dishes on the menu. The service was very good. We only gave it 4 for atmosphere because there were so few people in on a Wednesday night. There deserves to be more. Would thoroughly recommend.

Disappointing experience in our visit today. Ate at Ego with my partner, my son and his girlfriend. We are local so eat here quite often. My partner ordered Lamb Kleftiko, which is a dish served in a terracotta dish, wrapped in brown paper. It arrived extremely hot, far too hot to eat or do anything with. The food was difficult to eat as it was surrounded by the brown paper. The vegetables were very scarce and we felt it was poor value at £21.95. In hindsight we should have sent the dish back as it wasn't really worth the money. We did complain to two members of staff, one who was pretty indifferent and half heartedly asked if my partner wanted to order something else and again to a gentleman who told us that they have no control over the menu and that it's down to head office who design the menu. We like Ego but will think carefully before visiting again as I value for money isn't what we got today.
