Lovely meal and friendly staff 5 stars.

Delighted to have dined at this restaurant. A very warm welcome, good advice on wine. As for the food, delicious! The staff is very kind and pleasant. The prices are reasonable (£56 for 1 pizza, 2 dishes of salmon tagliatelle, and 2 glasses of wine, 1 soft drink). A very good address, we recommend 100%!

We went here last night for a romantic meal out together and we were so disappointed with the quality 😞 the lasagne appeared not to have been freshly made seemed just to be heated up . My arrinchini ball starter was tasteless and dry inside. Disappointing as I really love Italian food and this is right on the door step for me.

Very disappointing. Ordered two meals which were not very good or warm and asked every two Minutes from one of the 10 staff they had working if the food was fine. Ordered garlic bread with my main and then they charged me £10 for this? Will never return.. oh the toilets . Wouldn’t let my cat use them!! A good set of flippers would come in handy! Shocking and dirty place please see attached pictures for the proof. I hope they look at this review and pictures and improve standards as I was looking forward to finding a restaurant nearby I could use frequently with family and friends . Remember you were warned !

My partner and I popped in for a quick bite last week and were blown away! We both ordered the lasagne, and hands down, it's the best we've ever had. The side salad, chips, and Focaccia with rosemary and sea salt complemented the meal perfectly. Everything was delicious, and the staff were lovely. Can't wait to return! Highly recommend!

Picked up a takeaway from here tonight pasta and pizza both warm and fresh. Really enjoyed both meals full of flavours.

Was there a week or so before Christmas for my wife's birthday place was quiet, but we enjoyed a set piece meal and drinks very enjoyable and reasonable prices would definitely go back we where talking to the owner for about 10 minutes before we left he was telling us about the history of the restaurant est in late 70s I think but was lovely to talk to

We were there early Sunday evening early January so not busy but Angelo looked after us really well.

I ate here twice in 2 weeks and loved it both times, bound to be back

We had a special family birthday party . We had a 3 month old with a pram . It was a great experience. Good food throughout with an especially warm and professional service. A real winner back to the great old days we know of this place. Will return with joy

Lovely place to have a cute date during our holiday in Scotland. Food was beautiful and piping hot. We had two starters: the mozzarella sticks and goat cheese. I loved the dressing on the salad. For mains we had the salmon pasta and the carbornara which was beautiful and lastly I had an Irish whiskey coffee. Fab service!

Have been here a few times over the years and always find the food is really good as is the service. I had a Bailey's coffee to finish and didn't see the waiter who made it to say it was lovely if this could be passed on!

Quiet night, but atmosphere okay

We went in on a Sunday afternoon at opening time so it was yet to get busy in any way. The service and attitude of staff was top notch, just like the food. The place could do with a wee freshen up but I would understand if the owners wanted to retain the classical restaurant of yesteryear.

Brilliant food and great service

Impromptu visit. Managed to get a table. Food was great. Apparently there’s a new chef. Special was veal & it really was lovely. The food really is so well priced & staff very friendly. Wouldn’t normally say this but you guys should charge a bit more. Running a restaurant is a really hard shift & you’re probably selling yourself short. Sonny Leto singing live. Great atmosphere & it’s hard to find live music these day so that was great and really added to the night. Great evening great night, just shame I was driving. 😂

Not the best. Went for a mid week meal and thought we would give it a try . The garlic prawns starter was like nothing you would expect. It appears it's smothered in seasoning, which leaves it very salty and slightly spicy . Calzone main was slightly burnt to outside and dry, tasteless piece of doh . Stuck up in the back corner of an empty restaurant with the other 2 covers didn't lend itself to the experience. I'm afraid I wouldn't on this experience pass other fairly local Italian to visit again.

This was our first time at this restaurant and we both had a fantastic meal , the service was great and staff were really friendly, so we booked again for this weekend.

We decided to stay local and try the Italian in the village for our wedding anniversary meal. Unfortunately it was not a good experience and we won't be in any rush to return. On the night the front of house was very short staffed (staff had called in unwell we were told) so only the one lady front of house dealing with everything. I think there were 3 tables in at the time so not busy (still a lot for one person though) due to this we can overlook the long wait for drinks and having to ask for cutlery to eat our starters with after the food arrived. The real disappointment for us was the quality of the food. We ordered breaded mushrooms and breaded mozzarella and foccacia bread to start. The mushrooms and mozzarella had clearly been made several days before and reheated, no crispness or texture to the mushy/soggy breadcrumb. What was worse is that there was absolutely no flavour from either dish, only adding lots of seasoning and blobs of garlic mayo gave it any flavour at all. Best described as a not very nice and flavourless pile of stodge. If possible the mains were worse. Spaghetti bolognaise should be a staple and good indicator of an Italian restaurants quality. The bolognaise tasted like someone chucked a cheap jar of sauce over some mince, definitely not a traditionally prepared bolognaise, that is bad enough but to serve it with spaghetti so overcooked (it was the practically the thickness of drinking straws) and tasted so bland I can only assume it was pre cooked in unsalted water. The other spaghetti alforno main was just as overcooked and bland. The foccacia (which arrived the mains not with starters as requested) sounded lovely, sea salt flakes, rosemary and garlic, however did not taste of any of those ingredients and was as bland as the rest of the meal. I can understand poor service due to understaffed front of house, but for a local Italian to serve such bland pre-prepared food and overcooked pasta is shocking. Management/ owners should have a good look into the kitchen practices here as I'm sure if they had a meal as bad as ours served to them they would be appalled. It is real shame as we like to support the local businesses in the village, sadly this place really let itself down on pretty much every level.

We waited an hour for the food for it to never arrive, but for them to tell us they are cancelling the order. Would not recommend.

Went with my wife for her birthday. Had a lovely meal and the waitress Jennifer couldn't do enough for you as did the rest of the staff. Had a little wait for meals but ended up making a couple of lovely friends from the surrounding tables. Absolutely fantastic night. Going back in a couple of weeks to all meet again. Really amazing food. A lot of places are compromising on quality right now, but La Campagnola has used the best ingredients, which makes the food taste perfect! So many little details like tomatoes on the vine, delicious!

Went here for the first time at the weekend and it was lovely. For the price the portion sizes were amazing and the food was great. Our waitress was so lovely and made us enjoy our experience so much more. Will be back!

Been there with colleagues recently. As an Italian, not impressed at all. Antipasti cold meat felt like lidl packed stuff and pizza was terribly crunchy. Low quality tomato sauce. Spritz as well was nowhere close to be a spritz. I felt it's an already prepped can of some low standard. Only good note, staff was friendly and accommodating. Will not be back.

Had a superb meal here for my father in laws birthday. The food was superb. I had mozzarella fritta to start which was great. Had a pizza for my main which was lovely. Was perfectly cooked. Menabrea on tap which is great. 👍 My only slight issue was that the service could have been better. Had to ask for more drinks etc, but the restaurant was busy and there were limited servers. The staff were lovely and very friendly. Will definitely be back.

Night we were in was just after covid was relaxed. We got put in a corner and somehow the mains got forgotten until we spoke to a waiter. Apart from the small issue the food was great and we will go back another time. 👍

Best Pizza in Glasgow by far . It reminds the taste of Italy. Their Amalfi Pasta is just delicious. Will call again and again. Top service too.

Lovely restaurant. Great service. Recently visited with my daughter and we had a really enjoyable meal. Good size portions and very tasty. I would highly recommend it, this is now my "go to" Italian restaurant

Visited La Campagnola tonight hoping it had returned to its former glory of 1970’s / ‘80s. Food was acceptable but nothing like the quality of food or service from when this restaurant last carried this name. Disappointed it is not reaching its former status but will return for a basic meal occasionally. There are much better Italian restaurants close by. This place really needs to raise its game !!!

Very pleasant experience, well looked after and food was very very tasty

Was here today and I can't fault the food at all however the restaurant was freezing cold... the waitress saw that we were rubbing our hands and blowing on them for heat and said she would turn the heating up which was most appreciated however but didn't do much whilst we were there felt for the money we paid to sit in a cold restaurant we could have easily just sat in the house in the warmth and ordered in which was not the point - wanted a nice night out experience but couldn't wait to get back in the car for a heat -

a enjoyable evening on Wednesday night disappointed there was no veal not a problem the owner said he would send me veal on Friday .He called me on Friday teatime to let me know it was on it's way. Excellent veal Sophia Loren with all the vegetables free of charge Thank you very much .Hopefully be back soon.

I’m not one for getting ripped into businesses on review sites as I work in the service industry and I understand that people leave horrendous reviews because they basically like to moan about stuff but please take this review as constructive feedback and if you could sort it I think you and your team would have a cracking wee Restaurant in an area that is ready for a really good place for families to go to . The amount of time we had to wait for our order to be taken (20 mins) and then the food coming (50 mins) and finally to get the bill (20 mins) was way too long and if you have kids with you turns what should be relaxing into a stressful night. Kids hate waiting! The food was average nothing to make it stand out and was Luke warm when it came. A couple of unique or unusual meals and coming out hot would make up if it takes a bit longer too be served. The tables round about me had issues with the amount of time food drink etc was taking so it wasn’t just me being impatient. On the plus side the staff were courteous and welcoming and were always round the tables moving dishes away and available. As I said I’m not writing this angry just disappointed as I think this could be a cracking place for the local community to go to. Lots of young families about. Hopefully the management have a look and can make some changes

Great meal and great service my only gripe is they've replaced Morreti beer for memeba beer not as good.

We waited 2 hours for our food on Saturday night. No apology from the staff. The waiter Tony brought the wrong food and drew looks after he came back a second time with the same wrong food. Again no apology. They seem to focus on takeaway orders than deal with diners. The food was ok. We gave this place a go but won't be back.

We enjoyed our visit, helpful attentive staff and friendly ambience. Our starters were excellent and our mains were more than we could manage. We were regular customers some years ago before the previous owner spoiled it so great to see it back and we will certainly return.

Booked a family meal for 6 at 4pm, and sat by the window. Drinks ordered and first pet hate, ordered a middle of the road red wine which was promptly plonked on the table (already opened) then staff walked away. 3 starters ordered, one calamari, which wasn't fresh, tasteless and couldn't finish, some salad leaves seemed rotten on the plate. Mains, again a bit of a miss, ordered a fillet steak only to be told they didn't have any, 2 issue's here, 4pm on a Saturday afternoon and no steak and secondly, what was in the other two main courses that claimed to be strips of fillet steak? Lastly but probably the most annoying part of the meal, the restaurant does take aways, people coming in the front door creating a constant draft of cold air but more annoying being asked to sit at tables beside guests who are paying for a sit down meal. I'm struggling to find a good reason to return.

Servers were nice enough but it has a bad smell like they had just painted. I ordered the antipasto platter and we highly disappointed, it tasted stale, all of it. I didn't find anything really impressive about this place. Extremely basic bordering on bad and overpriced for the bad quality. Will def not spend money here again.

This restaurant is one of the best Italian restaurants I ve been to and has been a party of the fabric of Muirhead for as long as I remember, I would highly recommend it .

I have been a regular customer of this restaurant for many years both for business and pleasure. The atmosphere is always warm and friendly. The food is superb, I dont think I have ever had a poor dish. The wine list is also pretty good, though I am no expert. I would not hesitate to recommend 3Ragazzi , it is certainly well worth a visit.
