La Bottega in Sheffield

Had an excellent meal. Waiter v helpful in explaining the food and portion sizes having seen some reviews commenting on this. Basically it’s Italian tapas with portion sizes bigger than Spanish tapas. We found that 1 dish each plus 1 vegetable dish and an artisan bread starter all to share between 3 of us was ideal. The venison and stone bass were particularly nice. All v relaxed. If you want more, you simply order more as you go along. Nice ambience and v good value for money and all a bit different compared to a traditional Italian restaurant. Would definitely recommend and hope to return soon.

Delicious food and the most exquisite wine! The interior is so classy yet traditional. Staff are so knowledgeable about all on the menu and told us what drinks to have to compliment each course. Extremely friendly staff they made us feel so comfortable whilst there and the chef even came out to see if we were happy. We are delighted with the service here and are returning for brunch THANK YOU!

Really cosy place, busy and very warm. I enjoyed a nice slice of cake with a cup of tea. I had many people around me that made the atmosphere really friendly. Pedro was really kind

My wife and I chose the Cod special and the Lamb special. Both were filled with flavour and beautifully presented. The service was very friendly and efficient. We will be returning.

Precioso restaurante, buen ambiente y servicio amable. Mi compañero eligió el especial de bacalao que era súper. Elegí el venado del menú, delicioso, pero estaba un poco confundido - demasiado grande para una porción del tamaño de una tapa, pero venía con unas pocas hierbas micro y nada más. El camarero me lo había dicho pero no había guarniciones de verduras para pedir. Quizá elegí mal.

Tuvimos una gran noche. Fantástica comida recién preparada. Gran variedad de platos con diferentes ingredientes. Muy especial, muy delicioso. Nos sentimos muy bienvenidos y muy queridos después.

Tuvimos un tiempo increíble en La Bottega durante su experiencia de maridaje de vinos. La comida era absolutamente deliciosa y el vino se adaptaba perfectamente a cada plato. El personal era atento y bien informado, asegurándose de que entendíamos cómo cada pareja mejoraba la experiencia general. Fue una noche verdaderamente memorable llena de comida increíble, vino excepcional y un ambiente acogedor. Nos fuimos completamente satisfechos y con ganas de volver de nuevo!

A pesar de que a menudo visito y amo los restaurantes propiedad de este increíble equipo como Paesani, Grazie y Borgo, esta reciente experiencia de cata de vinos en La Bottega se destacó por su elegancia y refinamiento. La Bottega was truly outstanding - probably the best meal I have ever eaten at a restaurant here or in Italy! The menu was inspiring, the wine beautiful and the small boutique style restaurant made the atmosphere special. We can truly recommend every dish we ordered, but the roast pork with figs and the seared tuna were exceptional. The desserts were equally delicious! We will come back to Sheffield just to visit La Bottega. Thank you.

Gennaro is always a step or two ahead of the others, sometimes simple food but loaded with authentic and rare flavours. If there was another Napoli, it would be where he cooks. There is no comparison with anyone else, compliments, you deserve them all. The Tagliata di Cervo is divine.

Amazing authentic and high quality food. I am Italian and even in Italy their dishes would be interesting to try and they were absolutely delicious. The waiter was very friendly and the whole ambience with the Italian music covers was great. I am so happy to have found this great restaurant in Sheffield!

We come here all the time, it has some of the best food in Sheffield!!! Could not recommend enough!!! The wine and food are unbelievable and the staff are so welcoming

One of the best restaurants in Sheffield , fresh food with great flavours. Not surprised it got the best new restaurant award, I’d really recommend going here. The service and food were both excellent, it’s a great restaurant to go to for an occasion. Classed as small plates to share but each dish was a good size we shared 5 between 2 of us. Definitely will be back soon.

Really lovely sandwiches and cake. My husband says they serve the best coffee in Sheffield. Highly recommend their Salmon sandwich.
