Kyuri Sushi in Stroud

Stopped here for something different while visiting the area, we live over an hour away but will return just for this! The food was amazing! We had the teriyaki chicken bento and pumpkin catsu bento, value for money absolutely and amazing flavours! Highly recommend!

Lunchtime visit, for my brother's birthday. Chose here on back of consistently fabulous reviews... and these reviews are spot on. Superb food, very good service, great surroundings in style of street food (don't expect fancy restaurant tables)... just seriously nice food. We had katsu chicken and Korean Chilli pork, with side of gyozo... all superb. I was struggling to pick my food, since there were some great options, all of which looked lovely. My brother went home with the last tray of sushi... all the rest had sold already... it was only 12:30!! This place is very popular, for damn good reason. Can't wait to return... perhaps at the weekend with kids... they love sushi as well !!

My daughter and I visited Kyuri Sushi for lunch today. We had Katsu Chicken Bento and Korean Sweet and Spicy Chicken, together with the on offer miso soup. The welcome was very warm, and we were able to sit at the small (5 person), bar area and watch food being prepared. Our lunch was beautifully presented, the food was delicious, and helpings plentiful for less than £12 per head. We cook Japanese and Korean food at home, so have some understanding of these dishes; these were very well done. It is a rare meal out these days where you do not come away thinking that you could have cooked far better at home for the money (esepcially if you eat steak !). That was really not the case here. I expect Kyuri Sushi will become a regular venue.

I’ve been here lots of times and it’s always delicious. The sushi is good, katsu curry and Korean chicken are lovely. Reasonably priced. Very friendly staff. Great tonight, as always!

I just chanced upon this small eatery in the food court area of Five Valleys in Stroud. Everything I ate was cooked to perfection (teriyaki donburi and miso). The rice bowl came with authentic pickles and it all tasted beautiful. There are a few seats at the counter, where you can watch sushi being made too.
