We stopped in here by chance as we were passing and have since made a second trip. The visiting party included ages: 42, 41, 10 and 11 months. There is plenty of space (tables not crowded together), it wasn’t too loud, the chairs are comfortable and it’s bright and clean. The menu is to die for, particularly if you like pancakes and waffles (but plenty of other options), the food really well cooked and the staff efficient and friendly. My 10 year old has decided she wants to celebrate her 11th birthday there which is a big tribute to a new place as she’s autistic and finds new places often overwhelming. Would definitely recommend!

We went for a family tea to save cooking and thought we'd try somewhere different. We said we'd try Kushtys as we drove up to it, we were not disappointed. It's like going into an old American diner. They have an extensive savoury and sweet menu along with a good selection of hot and cold drinks including cocktails, milkshakes and alcoholic milk shakes.... Something different eh? Anyway, I had a brunch burger. The burger itself was a lovely thick pattie that was clearly not frozen of fresh ground beef. Atop of the burger was a Cumberland ring, bacon, cheese and a massive hash brown. Served with crisp chips. I had a coffee and a rest before tackling a dessert. Everything was delicious and we all left stuffed. We will be back. Thankyou to our waitress Kelly who was friendly. This makes a pleasant change. Thanks again.

Drove past this place on our way back to North Wales and decided to stop in for lunch- best decision ever!!! My wife had the Sunday roast- “one of the tastiest Sunday lunches I’ve ever had!!”; I had the Big Daddy burger, which was also excellent- it looked to be a proper patty made from quality mince, topped with so many toppings that it needed some deconstruction before I was able to eat it. The desserts looked amazing and we settled on the Nutella pancakes- the photo doesn’t really do it justice.. suffice to say, if we lived near here, we’d definitely be rounder that we already are!! I highly recommend this restaurant, amazing food and amazingly helpful staff- 10/10! 👍👌

Visited for the first time today after a trip to the coast, what can I say..... wow!!! What a great find, we literally called in for a snack so we had hot sandwiches and they were incredible. My 4 year old went for the Mac & Cheese and that was superb too. We weren’t there for the desserts but after seeing them come out of the kitchen we were left with no choice but to sample for ourselves. Very Impressed👌👌👌 Definitely worth a stop, staff were really good and food came out very quickly as well. Definitely going back.

This is a great independent cafe, we had breakfast, a really good breakfast menu, eggs benedict was gorgeous. Children had a Nutella Ella pie which they loved. This is more than a cafe a great experience, brilliant service, really friendly, well thought out menu, decor and presentation. If you are in York it’s worth the trip out, if you are heading to or from Scarborough stop off!
