KungFu Ramen 兰州拉面 in Leicester

I had a beef ramen and egg fried rice and my friend had Thai chicken curry, i think. Honestly, I wasnt expecting all that, but I absolutely loved both the ramen and the fried rice. The portion size was big and there were quite a lot of beef pieces and they were very succulent and very tasty. Will be back soon. Also, the service was impeccable. The lady was very nice and even filled up our glasses with water. Will definitely be back again.

Pleasure place for a wonderful hand made noodle with different flavours soup and sauce. Love the 夫妻肺片, it is just about right level of the spicy. Thank you for the lovely food. Very happy.

It was a rainy night. I was only 45 mins to my bus to fosse park and I decided to try this tempting noodle restaurant at Leicester. I was thinking of taking it away but hamdulillah my bus was delayed. So yeah I had it dine in. The lady said I should order beef brisket ramen and my friend ordered fried ramen. The noodles came with big bowls. I was surprised ! No wonder it is £9.50 each. And the lady showed us how to put the coriander and chili. Also if you want the sauce you can add it to the meal. She was very kind and helpful. The. We had noodles. It was such a delicious meal after a long and tragic day in Leicester plus the rain made it even more. A ramen soup for a rainy day, what else can I expect? I love the soup it was so tasty. Although the noodles themselves were not that tasty. I tried my friend's ramen, I love the noodles more! But it doesn't have any soup cuz it was a fried one. But it was so tasty! It reminded me of the noodles I had in Indonesia and Malaysia. That night I was soo full even my tummy was bloated due to eating these two noodles😁😁 From empty tummy to bloated one cuz the portion was so big! I recommend you to share with your friend if you're not a big eater. After all I am glad I decided to go to this restaurant. It is halal and delicious. Perfect combo! I would love to come again!😊

Great spot for ramen and noodles! The broth is rich and flavorful, and the noodles are cooked perfectly. Portions are generous, and the atmosphere is cozy. A fantastic place to satisfy your noodle cravings

The best Chinese restaurant in Leicester, no competition. I have tried every Chinese restaurant in Leicester and have been to many high end Chinese restaurants in London/Birmingham but honestly this is up there. The ingredients tase so fresh! I decided to order the basics as usually that gives a good initial indication (although the ramen looked amazing) and the chicken in the sweet and sour chicken was crispy with a tasty sweet and sour sauce, the pineapple and veg taste delicious! The egg fried rice is also the best egg fried rice I've ever eaten. I'm usually quite a harsh critic but out of the 3 times I've been here so far I've never been let down, it has been consistently perfect. Seems to be a nice family run business too so I wish them all the success and I hope to see it busier. One thing to note is that it's cash only but there is a free cash machine just a few doors down at the currency exchange.

I used to eat la mien in Hangzhou and Ningbo, which is really tasty especially in cold weather. This shop brings that memory with various Chinese menus available. Reasonable price with reasonable serving portions. Cash only 😮‍💨 Halal certified 😊 There’s a counter where you can put your own chilli sauce and garlics to add more taste / spicy.

Their menu is outdated, they incased the prince but didn’t mark it on the menu. Ordered the cold noodle and it’s just okay. Remember to bring cash cause it’s cash only

A very nice ramen spot in Leicester with both dry and soup ramens available. This is a cash only establishment and the service is very quick. The self-serve seasoning station is really good and allows you to tailor your dish to your liking. I really enjoyed the brisket soup ramen on a cold windy day and it was very nourishing and tasty!

Very good price for how big the portions are. its cash only though. I got the beef ramen with soup for £9.50 and its very filling even without drinking the soup. Noodles are hand made in store too and they don't cheap out on the beef. Very authentic and Highly recommend.

I got the beef chow mein and the Beef was tuff. I prefer it a bit more tender. Also there were sauces and toppings no one mentioned that we're by the door. I spotted a regular customer with them. This establishment was cash only.

Loved the whole experience , been there twice and will be going in te future. Food taste so good yet it gives you a feel as if you are eating some home cooked meal, it's clean, doesn't feel like you are eating out some unhealthy food, it's easy on the stomach and soo flavour ful and it's halal. Can't recommend it enough. Had ramen with soup last time,hearty meal. And spicy dry ramen this time. The dry one was tastier , the beef was super tender. Sweet and sour chicken was lovely.

Wonderful experience. Real authentic ramen with so much umami and the beef so tender. The staff were so friendly and thoughtful. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for good, fresh, filling food.

Lanzhou Ramen has always had a good impression in my heart Clear soup base, aroma of beef But in Hong Kong has been unable to find really delicious And this restaurant that is open on Sundays gave me a good experience It's not much for food style How many main dishes are there and how many side dishes are there? The must-orders are of course the beef ramen and sirloin ramen In contrast, beef brisket ramen is better because the beef is thinner The soup is very clear and tastes good If you like it thicker, you can season it yourself at the bar The saliva chicken is very tasty! Although it is nitpicking Full marks if the chicken could be smoother! Fabulous place for authentic noodles with a variety of toppings. Whether you fancy noodles with soup or dry noodles or fried models or even rice. Lovely unique flavour to each dish. Very helpful and friendly staff too.

Enjoyable Chinese ramen, noodles are made right there in front of you which was a pleasant surprise, the dish is not heavy and is loaded with flavour. The dumplings were crispy - really liked those! I also had a tea egg which was enjoyable. It feels like a very "home style" eatery and the service was simple and friendly, no frills, efficient and welcoming. There is a station at the front with bowls of additions for your dish; spring onions, chili oil, soy sauce etc. The chili oil, be warned, is intense!! Delicious, but you definitely don't need much (now I know ha). The food is served quickly and table turnaround is speedy so if there isn't space there soon will be.

Closest thing you could get for authentic Lanzhou beef noodles! Really lovely!!! The extra toppings are free of charge with every order; with choices of authentic pairings of chopped onions and coriander, chili oil, and vinegar. There's also soya sauce and salt. You can grab a clove of garlic for that extra kick eating it raw alongside the delicious noodles.

Update: I went back there yesterday to give it another go as this is my fav chow mein place so far. This lovely lady explained what happened last time, she made sure everything is okay and got me my fav chow mein. Will be back soon : ) - - - - - I loved this place and used to be a regular customer until yesterday. When I say regular customer I mean regular customer, I literally go there 2-3 times per week. Came back from work yesterday to have my favourite chicken chow mein however it tasted nothing like chow mein! They have a new cook in the kitchen and he completely messed up (a guy with black hair). He added green and red peppers and some spicy seasonings what changed the flavour dramatically. On top of that I ordered chicken chow mein however the guy put beef & chicken and I am not a big fan of beef at all. I thought of explaining it to a lovely lady who takes orders however due to a language barrier decided to share my experience here.Rather disappointing

The most authentic Lanzhou noodles in the UK! The free shredded potatoes salad(凉拌土豆丝) and steamed chicken with chili sauce(口水鸡) are also delicious!

Discovered this place by chance. They do Halal Ramen in Leicester. The lady said all their menu was Halal. We ordered the brisket ramen both the noodles and the meat were really flavourful. I will be back!

A very Chinese ramen shop in the heart of Leicester city. It is close to the famous Haymarket. Large in portions with acceptable price. Please don't forget to bring your bowl to add some spicy oil. You can even enjoy seeing how the chef makes the noodles.
