Salad was not fresh and a funny colour

I ordered 3 very different meals for a group of us. Mini fish and chips, Bol parmesan, and a kebab wrap. It was all absolutely amazing, and, if you manage to have any self control, you could probably have a nice lunch then next day as well. They advertised the wrap as the biggest in Hinckley, I doubt they are wrong. Thanks 🙏

The only thing I enjoyed from my order was curry sauce and can of pop. Chips were not fresh, cod was not fresh(very hard and dry and chewy) , onion rings were cold , and chicken was way overcooked again I guess not fresh. Disappointed.

First time trying a parmesan and have to say it was very nice, like a chicken pizza (I had the hot shot) definitely be trying more though. Service was great, ordered online to collect and it was ready before the time started, I even got a phone call to check I'd seen the text as I was late picking it up. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The cod wasn’t cod! The fish wasn’t good at all. The chicken wasn’t that great either won’t be ordering again

This place doesn’t know what salting means. Chips were not nice! And no vinegar!! The people don’t know what good fish and chips taste like. Perhaps they could go out of town to experience what tasty tastes like. The only chip shop in Hinckley and deluded owners thinking it’s the best 😂 You could sell that that to someone who has only been in your shop. I know awful when I taste it. You can’t make it like the seaside, you just can’t even make it nice. Yuk! I wouldn’t eat there again.

I apologise for my rating but it is my honest review. If I could give 0 stars I would. This was my first time ordering here and the fish and chips were the worst I have ever had. The fish and chips were cold, soggy and stale and not fresh. I had asked for salt and vinegar on the online order notes which was missed. I would not order from here again. My usual fish and chip shop is Mother Hubbards and this meal was not on par with them.

We had a lovely takeaway from Kullar Fish bar this evening. Chips were nice, and the cheese and onion fritter was delicious! 😋

Amazing food, and the staff delivered good service. I don't imagine this would usually be a big issue, but if you're ever busy I think having some more chairs would help those with mobility issues like the disabled and elderly.

it was very late but the delivery man was very nice and he gave us a free bottle of Pepsi.

2.5 hours to deliver 2 meals! Received a text to say food was on way, 45 mins later still hadn’t arrived. Called to ask if driver lost and person on phone was rude and shouting that he was busy! Food average at best. Avoid!!!

The best fish and chips I have had in a long time, so tasty and not greasy at all. Can't wait to bring the family back.

Awful greasy undercooked food, order arrived late , chicken was pink ,all went in the bin and ordered something else.

Chips, sausage and gravy were nice but the fish was terrible! Dark soggy batter and dripping with oil, fish yellowish and tired, perhaps an old piece recooked, either way it was awful. Will use shop again but not for the fish.

My pukka pie was burnt which I’ve never experienced before ever, chips weren’t salted and vinegar, like I asked and the chips were stale. Not impressed

Quickly become my new favourite chippy. Love the parmos and their pizza is so good! Had a munch box tonight which is a mountain of food for the price, well worth it 👍🏻

I order takeaways from this chip shop more than any other place now. The food is amazing, the menu is extensive and the staff and wonderful.

I received two text messages to say the order was delayed and they'd send it as soon as they can, it finally turned up with the explanation there was a burst water main outside the shop. It was understandable why it was late but it wasn't up to the usual standard, the chips appeared burnt on the outside and greasy, although they were cooked on the inside, the mushrooms also appeared burnt and were hard.

Tried my hardest to say my pleases and thankyou my order was simple the prices were in front of me Tried to charge me more because I didn't want chips Then also evertime I go here I have chilli and mint yogurt The lady admitted its vinigared down both of them but then tries to charge me 50 pence extra as I want more than one sauce like I was a new customer....... The guys are great Lady is almost comfentational Have to bite your tongue Ofcourse this lead to the portion of my food also being terrible for the amount I paid Used to be great here think ill be sticking to the one down the road You all know

Had a Parmasan both times I've visited. It was amazing. Even the salad that comes on the side is delicious!

Fish and chips were OK, cooked to order, but very average. Batter was not crispy on the fish, more soggy, small portions of chips for £9.50 for both. Long waits for fast food. My daughter had a pizza which was good. One person waited 40mins for a portion of chips which was crazy, I wouldn't of waited that long. Not sure I will be back anytime soon. It seems very expensive compared to other local chippys.

Placed order by phone at 5:30, given delivery time of 55 mins as very busy. Called at 6:45 to chase order, after several failed attempts to contact them, decided go to local chippy!!! In the mean time delivery turned up attempts 7:05 claiming to be "head chef" and having to make delivery because delivery driver quit today!! Won't be using again!!

I Tried to order food tonight and was told (after the second time of ringing) about an hour. After am hour and a half I rang again only to be road that they were still working on it and didn't know when it would be delivered. Very poor service

Huge portions. Fish cooked to order with thin batter. Chips are not too crispy. Great 👍

The service was great, however the chips were undercooked so were quickly fluffy rather than chip shop chips. The pepperoni pizza was also undercooked. The pepperoni was actually put under the cheese so it was quick soft. Ordered at 16:30pm on Sunday 3rd December.

Had 3 trays of kebab meat last night 27th November 2023 it was cold and 2 large chips and 1 small and the chips was no diffrent in size and 4 large peas the food was all cold my kids would not eat it so most of it went in the bin will not bother again. Bring sunny back

Delivery driver was very polite. The food was amazing.

Ordered here last night over the phone. Told that it would be 60 mins wait.. 2 hours later and many attempts to get through failed. Food never came not even a courtesy call to let us know. Disappointing

Disappointed. £4.50 for a large chips and the portion was more like a small. We’d usually get a large for 2 adults and 2 kids and this was not a sufficient portion size. Won’t be using again. Edit to response- apologies if we have the price wrong. Either way we bought a large portion last night and it was more like a small portion. I am not out to make you ‘look like a bad business’ I am just expressing my opinion. As our local chippy I would like to be able to give a good review, but unfortunately this was not value for money and we will have to go elsewhere.

Overall poor went in and ordered was told 15-20 minute wait after waiting an hour my order arrived even though the staff were aware I was with someone who had ordered separately I was told there order wouldn't be long so I waited after over 15 minutes the lady took my food to keep it warm so after over 20 minutes the other order was ready so once I got home to eat my LONG awated food the parmesan was ok obviously after the long wait the chips were past it. The fishcake is awful. I would really give it a while till I consider trying again.

I love this chippy, the staff are friendly and always make you feel welcome and the fish and chips are delicious and freshly cooked. I don't go anywhere else.

Great Mini Fish & Chips with curry sauce for £6. Fresh good size fish in light crispy batter. Nice tasting and good size portion of chips. Highly recommend a visit. Great owner too, had a good chat.

friday the 30th came to the shop with my friends to get some chips ordered the chips and the bloke who took the order seemed completely disgruntled anyway they do cook mine and my friends chips and they were soggy like an potato and grease broth had some peas with it too cause why not? black bits in the peas wich i cant decipher if they should be there or not but completely disgusting anyway complete ripoff food not good staff not good prices not good massive portions tho if youre a fan of potato and oil broth id say go for it if not STAY AWAY

Chips undercooked and soggy had a fishcake which was completely wrecked in the packaging had to wait over 25 minutes to get a pre order wich i placed trough the phone there was this stench of weed in the shop entrance overall the worst chippy i had in years and expensive so not worth will not come again and would strongly reccomend that anyone who sees this review does the same STAY AWAY

Best battered fish in town! This is a fantastic chip shop. The fish is always cooked fresh while you wait which makes it super crispy and fresh and isn’t then soggy by the time you get home like most chippys. The taste is the best i’ve had so far (not greasy) and the chips are also yummy. The staff are always chatty and friendly. So glad it’s our local 😁.

This was easily the best chippy in town, but in the last 3 or 4 weeks, it seems to have gone downhill rapidly, smaller portions, food doesn't seem the same high quality and the chips have become hard, overcooked and covered in green/black 'bad bits', such a shame.... May give it go in a couple of weeks to see if it has returned to the previous high standards.
