Kudos Cafe in Glasgow City

Kudos were kind enough to get a big bunch of us in for a brunch. The service was brilliant and the food was delicious. Our server was patient and helpful. Thank you so much. We will be back.

Kudos – Argyle Street Finally made it back to @kudos.gla Had my eye on the Steak & Eggs, £16, and managed to get a table outside in the sun! The steak was cooked medium-rare, exactly as ordered. The buttery sauce was rich and indulgent, complementing it perfectly. The hash browns were light and crispy. Although if I’m being extra picky, the eggs were slightly over done. Great service and delicious food

Outstanding chicken n waffles (waffles were replaced with the in house made crossaint). Crispy chicken, flaky croissant and perfectly poached eggs along with all sort of goodness on top. Try it , you will not be disappointed.

Edit: You checked the hundreds of breakfasts you serve and can’t find an order for two items from your limited brunch menu? How convenient. Unfortunately seems like the owners here are very fragile about any criticism or feedback. Original review: Had high expectations here but unfortunately the presentation on social media didn’t meet the reality - truffled eggs missing a significant amount of truffle. French toast tasted okay. Tables are very cramped inside. The ladies serving were very genial and friendly. Overall I think there are better quality brunch spots in Glasgow.

Well after seeing the February special of tiramisu French toast I just knew I had to visit. Visited on a Saturday which is of course a busy time for a small cafe like this. We waited for an hour for a table which I was prepared to wait for. After our wait we sat down and got a drinks order. The 2 coffees took 20 minutes to arrive. Then we waited a further 15 to get a food order. We felt kind of forgotten about at points. Everything that my partner wanted to eat was unavailable as they had ran out of ingredients so he has settled on breakfast potatoes. Probably one of the most profitable items on the menu based on how basic it is and considering its £12 price tag. The tiramisu French toast was disappointing. Tasted nothing like tiramisu. The only taste I got was whipped cream and chocolate. It seems like the coffee part of the tiramisu was forgotten? The little sponge fingers that were layered with cream were tasteless. Limited menu for vegans. Overall disappointing after seeing their socials done so well.

Run to Kudos; don’t walk!!! Incredible food! Not ever left a review via Google but since this place is so outstanding I had to 😊 We stopped by for brunch this week and oh my goodness we were blown away. The food is freshly cooked to order, presented like a work of art but most importantly tastes phenomenal! My husband had the breakfast potatoes and said the scrambled egg that accompanied it was the best he’d tasted. The potatoes were delicious too! I had the French toast (tiramisu) and oh my goodness it was like nothing I’d ever tasted! So sooooo good! If you looking for amazing food and super friendly staff then head to Kudos Glasgow! Amazing brunch spot with excellent, quick service from super friendly staff! There is a great selection of food on the main menu, as well as there being a specials menu that is regularly updated. Very impressed by the quality, portions, hospitality and value for money- a must try in Glasgow!

One of the best brunch spots in Glasgow without a doubt. I visited here with friends last week and we got the steak and eggs & Stornaway stack. Very tasty. We sat on the outside tables as the inside seating area was full when we arrived. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu!

Feeling very disappointed with Kudos. I had heard so many great things about it, so today we went to visit and it was a 45 minute wait - which is fine. Once we were seated and ordered coffee, the boy then took our food order and I notified him I had food allergies. He said that it would be best if I just didn’t eat here at all because they couldn’t be sure not to contaminate things. We had coffee and went to another brunch spot in the next block who are amazing with allergies!! In this day and age, where food allergies and intolerances are such a common thing, this should not be so difficult. I went to pay for the coffees which were massively overpriced by the way, and the girl said “sorry you couldn’t eat anything, is it a severe food allergy?”. My thoughts are if you will not serve people with allergies - there should be a sign on the website or the door to let people know, AT LEAST!! Extremely disappointing, wouldn’t recommend for service alone.

Food was fresh and tasty with good flavours. Service was fine. However, a wait time of >1hr for a table and then being asked to leave when we were clearly putting jackets on let the cafe down. If you prefer a relaxed brunch experience, perhaps not the right place. Dined on a Sunday around 13:00

good brunch place located in the west end of glasgow. We visited on a Saturday morning around 11am and it was already full, we ended up sitting outside in the cold, however this led to delays in the servers coming out to take our order. The food itself was good - the specials french toast was lovely and an incredible portion size. Would like to see a bit more diversity on the menu as the majority of the dishes revolve around eggs. Overall, the food was nice, but you could probably find better brunch in the west end in a quieter location!

Popped in today for breakfast, outstanding!

Food was great. The staff were a bit lacking, it took a bit of time for them to take our order, but it arrived relatively fast and was delicious. After we were done, we waited for the staff to clear our table so we could order more, but that didn’t happen. After a while, we flagged down a member of staff to ask to order again and we were told that they needed the table back in 5-10 minutes, which was the first time we heard about it. Nice wee place and the food was good, but we will not be back.

Wonderful coffee and brunch cafe with generous tasty servings - will keep you full all day

On arrival told to go through and sit down by staff, the only table available was a table for 4 which meant 10 minutes later we were asked to move. Food was good and looked the part. When clearing the table we were asked if we would like anything else. We decided to have more coffees. The staff member came back and asked if we would take them to go, as there was people waiting....that was abit rubbish. Seemed nice but felt rushed. Don't think I'd go back, there is plenty of lovely breakfast places around that feel more relaxed especially on a Sunday.

The food is fabulous and service very quick and attentive, no complaints apart from I wish my stomach could eat more !!

Have been twice now and mixed experience. First time sat outside, second time sat inside and it's very tight, you're almost dining with the table next to you. I ordered eggs on avo toast which were dry and bland, bread wasn't even buttered. I asked for olive oil and was offered vegetable oil instead 🫠 Other people's food was OK. I agree with below review that coffee is really bad, they don't even have a drinks menu! I had to get up a few times to ask for fresh cutlery, salt, drinks, etc. One of the girls serving (dark hair) doesn't know how to smile and makes you feel like a nuisance, she's pretty rude. Other staff were kind and polite. The only thing that was outstanding for us was the French toast on specials, but not sure any of the 4 of will rush back

Brunch visit. Food, mainly splendid. Steak a tad chewy and some refinement on both dishes could be advantageous. Staff excellent. Coffee...atrocious. Worst flat white I've had in some time. Preparation, fine. In other words, it's the beans. No nuance and unpleasant flavour. I've never bought from their preferred roaster...the output, was a total vindication of my decision...such a shame. Being local, doesn't always mean it's right. This was the proof...

Kudos to Kudos Cafe - amazing food with fantastic quick and friendly service. Really good prices for quality food. Everything is so fresh and really tasty. Absolutely will be back!

Only had the eggs Benedict but a nice presentation with some wee extras

Poached eggs weren’t cooked properly so I couldn’t eat them. I told the waitress who was uninterested and was still charged full price. Wouldn’t go back it’s over priced and over rated.

The Turkish eggs are delicious, I didn't like the Americano, the cortado and the latte

everything we ordered was amazing but the french toast is little bit burnt and for the steak egg croissant the steak was medium we asked for well done but they said "its better to be like that"!🤣 NOT everyone eats steak medium so i wish they didnt do that for other customers as for the drinks the americano is really truly tastes like water🫠 go for the lattes or cortades tastes more like coffee

Best breakfast place in Glasgow that I ever had so far. It is a great place to have either breakfast or brunch with friends or family. They have 2 story dinning area. The food are very fresh and delicious. The coffee is good quality, you can heard the sounds of hand pressing coffee in the coffee mold. Their French toast is a must to try item. Very impressed by the quality and size of the food. Th waiter and waitress are very friendly and hospitality. Highly recommend to try it out in the weekend!!

Found this quaint restaurant by chance and are so happy we did. Fantastic coffee, delicious breakfasts and super friendly staff. Window seats on the street were great for people watching. Highly recommend!

Food is absolutely amazing and great value for money will definitely return.

Waited for 40 mins to be sat on the bar stools by the front door which was very drafty, when we asked for a proper table, we were told there were none available. Our water had some dirt in it and the turkish eggs were quite frankly tasteless, the portions tiny and overpriced. Will definitely not be coming back.

Amazing place, everything we ordered (yogurt bowl, breakfast potatoes and french toast) was delicious! Coffees were also so good and perfectly made. Staff is amazing and friendly. As we are moving close to Glasgow this will definitely become our go to spot for breakfast!

Very tasty food - highly recommend. The homemade hash browns were divine, and the huevos rancheros were great. This was also the cheapest brunch I’ve had in a long time. I would however love to see some more veggie options on the menu. The sandwich special and the KUDOS croissant rolls both looked incredible - a halloumi / roast veg version would be 🤌🏼 Be prepared to wait for a table!

Amazing food and coffee here! Staff are really friendly too. Busy every time we’ve been; have to wait around for a table but it’s quick once you’re sat down.

Great food at a good price. However seemed as though they were short staffed, making the staff seem stressed. Staff did really well to find us a table & get our orders in good time but it just made the vibe a bit stressful and not as relaxing as I’d like for brunch! Hire more people pls to take the pressure of your existing lovely staff.

Brilliant food! The presentation and taste were both first class. Also the coffee was fantastic. Service was excellent and very friendly.

A nice place for brunch, quite cozy. Would recommend the chai latte & Stornaway Stack. Would’ve gave 5 stars but had to wait an hour for a table. Worth booking ahead of time!

Read one poor review last night but still took a gamble. So glad we did! Great on all fronts - food, service, staff, value for money, coffee, cleanliness. Not sure where the guy who insulted Glasgow food scene, as a whole, then this place, went but I’m struggling to comprehend it was Kudos Finnieston. First class and will be back

Was looking forward to this place, First of all the staff took ages to take my order & wasn't that busy but they where nice, I ordered a coffee & the Stornoway stack as looked nice The coffee has to be one of the worst I have tasted , so bland & bitter and for the Stornoway stack I was very disappointed as not that flavourful, Definitely not worth the money the prices they charge for it Unfortunately I won't be back here & wouldn't recommend it.

28 December. 3 of us looking forward to trying new midweek brunch venue. Advertised as opening 0800-1600 - with specific opening times for new year so assumed all times up to date. Turned up at 1000 to find it closed. Went over the road to Kelvingrove Cafe (very good brunch) and watched at least 5 others try to get into Kudos. Most ended up in Kelvingrove cafe. By 1130 someone appeared to be cleaning down shelves but not clear if it had opened or not. Extremely disappointed. But at least we found a good alternative for brunch.

Best brunch spot I have tried in Glasgow by a distance. The Stornaway stack was incredible and finished with a pastry which was freshly baked. Would highly recommend!

Best cafe in Glasgow without a doubt, staff are welcoming and food is always delicious. The menu is very modern with specials being added for variation. Would definitely recommend to anyone in Glasgow looking for lovely food at an exceptionally reasonable price.

I visit kudos cafe often and couldn’t rate the place any higher. The food is brilliant (breakfast potatoes are a personal favourite) and the customer service is spot on, the owner Danny and the girls who work there can’t do enough for you. Amazing selection of freshly baked pastries as well which are a must try!

Let me start by saying that I don’t have high expectations when in Glasgow, so it is really hard to get me disappointed. But this was a disappointment. 🔹interior is gorgeous 🔹staff are really lovely and welcoming 🔹enjoyed my cappuccino, it tasted good 🔹it looks like they have a nice selection of baked goods, which I might give a try. 🔻I asked if the French Toast is thick and fluffy, and they said yes. You can see from the photos it is very thin, greasy, not fluffy at all and tastes like eggs. I didn’t like the cream that comes with it as well. A French Toast made at home would taste better. This was a huge disappointment for me. 🔻so, then I ordered scrambled egg on toast. It wasn’t the best also compared to same order from other places. They add Chives to the scrambled egg, so if this is something you don’t like be aware of it.

Love the food and drinks ! Great service! The girls were very warm and friendly. Interior itself is bit cold , and it was a bit cold ;) . Take a book or chatty friend with you as you will wait a while for food BUT SOOOOO WORTH IT !!! Recommend 100%

Stopped in twice while in Glasgow; once just for a flat white and the second time for breakfast + coffee. The espresso drinks were great (best I had during my stay), the porridge was literally the best I've had, and the staff was very warm, welcoming, and conversational. Highly recommend.

Wow what a lovely find! Popped in here as I needed a quick bit to eat and had the most fantastic pastrami sandwich and coffee. SO tasty! Will be thinking about that sandwich for a while yum :)

Super cute new brunch place and the food is delicious! I went with my boyfriend and we were both very impressed. I got the breakfast potatoes and an iced vanilla latte with oat milk, he got the steak and eggs. The service was fast and friendly. We will definitely be back
