Krispy Gold Fish & Chips in Oldham

excellent food 😋 and hot too will definitely use again 5 🌟

We ordered food from here yesterday and it was the worst food we have had. The chips were cold and all brown due to either being fried multiple times or fried in old oil. When ordering the food they told us to wait 30 minutes which we were willing to because we expected food to a good standard but it was the opposite. Will not be ordering from here again and will report to the food and safety standards.

I hate to give a bad review but there really is nothing nice I can say. Chips were burnt and dry like they’d been reheated. Tandoori chicken was bland and cold sorry guys, won’t be ordering again.

Chips were stale samosa pastry was hard naan was hard and dry. Just a waste of money food went in the bin.

Nasty and overpriced plus very poor quality

Old fish smell like petrol or something similar. old hard fries fried in deep oil .. no recommend

I didn't hear the door he was running 10 minutes behind , so i made hime late I did apologise. the food was lovely. the driver was really nice and i would order again and I would refer you to my friends and family .

Prices gone up for fish n chips, but it's proper chippy chips and Samosas

So I ordered a chip muffin, something quick and easy as I wanted food on the go whilst rushing to work. Now bare in mind I was disappointed of this place the last several times coming here(I know I should have learnt. But I like supporting local businesses plus was convenient for me at the time) nonetheless I ordered. Just like the previous times, the muffin was absolutely tiny, he didn't separate it enough to get the chips in, and speaking of the chips..... There was literally enough to cup in one hand!!! A portion even a child will complain about after. wish I had the pics to show but was too damn hungry and annoyed to take a picture!! I will not be going back again

Not even fresh chips were frozen 😕 not fresh potatoes why call yourself a chippy? Overpriced charged me over 6.30 small sauce portion no value

Delivery was incorrect. However, what was delivered contained 3 regular fish and chips with some other bits and pieces which we had not ordered. My order was for 1 regular and 2 large fish and chips. Please credit my card with the difference in price, i.e £3.00.

Honestly greatest chippy I've had. The masala fish and with secret sauce is unbelievable, a must try! The staff is so friendly and family oriented you feel at home.

Best Chippy in Oldham and maybe Greater Manchester. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. Absolutely recommend 💯

Absolutely shocking! Food quality is worse than poor. Genuinely wouldn’t feed my dog with the food from this takeaway. Samosas smelt off (instantly thrown in the bin) you could smell it was not right just by opening the bag, chips under cooked, looks like they never seen the cooker! Sausage over cooked as if it been cooked multiple time! Please don’t waste your money here! The place needs shutting down immediately. Will also be reporting to the council

The food I ordered was wrong the gravy was so lumpy it was uneatable the potato fritters were rock hard and ineatable worst thing I have ever ordered the full order in the bin fumin!!!!!

Absolutely disgusting! We asked for our food to have the salad and sauce separately and it was absolutely swimming in it, to the point everything underneath it was soggy. The chips were undercooked and to be honest for the price we paid the portion size was shocking! Didn't eat any of it.

I have been here before and the older man is nice who has served me and given me good value for money, however, i went in recently and ordered from a younger guy, 3 LARGE chips at £4.50 each only to receive 3 large trays with a flat portion of chips, i saw him fry more but he didn't use any of those, instead made me wait whilst they cooked, then eventually gave me the ones that were already cooked. I am not even sure why i continued to pay for it but i had family visiting and needed something to take back. This is not the service you would expect and wouldn't be going back there again!

Terrible service!!! Placed an order to come back and collect later because for some reason some of the food always runs out and he refuses to cook some more for you. I even left cash for the order in good faith. Came back at the time I promised and he hadn't even started the order!! I was waiting there for a further 30+ mins and he served about 4 other orders that had come after mine & the ppl who had placed the orders after me were all his kind and got priority over me which was racist. Above all that to top it off, he tried to rip me off and give me less food than I had ordered & paid for, good thing I checked and asked then he tried to give me attitude. Never going back, wouldn't recommend. Would give -5 stars if I could.

Visited today, for masala fish and chips. No idea why I continued with my order after noticing hygiene issues. Dirty cooking areas, moist and wet. Staff had clothes on that were clearly unclean looking like they just returned from a builders job. The food itself was not great. Soaking in chutneys, the fish had a bad smell. Even worse how I seen it being prepared. Pulled out frozen, taken to the sink with no bowl or container, just in his hand. washed under the tap and then taken as it is to fryer. Won’t be ordering again. Dissatisfied. Avoid

Rude staff (unless it's not rude to wave one customers food around while shouting about it to another customer). Deceptive menu, left me hungry. Hungry and offended by the waving of said food around and sharing my business with a total stranger. Go elsewhere!

I ordered from here today on UBER EATS. I am completely unimpressed with the food I received. We had salt and vinegar placed on everything which we didn't ask for as we can't eat, the samosa said it came with chutney but was torn to pieces in the box with sauce, onions and other sauces completely soaking it, making it taste awful. One of my items didn't even arrive at all and the Donner meat is weird tasting bright red and very spicy, which wasn't stated. My family ended up throwing away 90% of the food, we were refused compensation and have had to go hungry because we spent the last of our money on the awful food. We have never had an experience like this at this restaurant, i have been here many times and have nice food but I probably won't be coming back after this.

always something wrong with this place! first they sent me a tiny tub of peas when i paid for a large, second they sent really hard chewy chips filled with oil. I wanted something soft since I have a sore throat and now i’m chewing on the chips like they’re candy. don’t recommend this place, always an issue

Delivery time was as stated. Ordered basic fish and chips x 2 plus peas, curry & gravy, and a chips & curry… fish tasted a bit strange. Chips and curry- don’t expect chips and curry sauce because this is not what we got.. it had some form of curry sauce, mint sauce, shredded salad, cucumber (like you’d get on a kebab).. needless to say my child did not touch it and it went straight in the bin

I went in to get chips peas an curry. They gave me a kids size for £4. Never again. Better chippys out there

I visit here twice a week and firstly the owner is wonderful and his sons are nice,this chippy reminds me of the old English chippys like mother Hubbard's years and years ago the food is lovley, admittedly it is a bit pricey but u get what u pay for,nice fish (no bones) just really nice food.

Sent peas instead of curry my kids didnt eat food without it

The chicken was less. Chips were hard. Salad was separate Both sauces was mixed in the same tub when I asked for separate

Fish & chips and samosa were perfect but the tandoori chicken & chips we weren't happy with. Asked for 1 normal and 1 without salad & sauce but both arrived with salad & sauce. Had to scrape the salad off one of the chicken & chips. Previous order I asked for the same but received both tandoori chicken & chips without salad or sauce, though salad & sauces were sent separate but it wasn't the same... Every order I leave a message but they don't seem to follow instructions. In future please read and follow any instructions, thank you.

My food was supposed to get delivered at 2.27pm. It is now 4.21pm and the food has not been delivered. I am really angry with this and would like a full refund!

The driver could not find the address although it is 10 mins from the takeaway. He then stated that he had instructions to deliver it elsewhere but there were no other instructions. Did not even attempt to make a delivery to the correct address until several phone calls later. When I called the takeaway they stated that it is not their responsibility as the driver has been hired via just eat and had nothing to do with them.

Just had a pickup from this place absolutely garbage. Ordered 2 tandoori chicken and chips and 1 donner and chips. Nothing was fresh apart from salad and chutney. One shouldn't have to wait for a busy time in order to get fresh food. Very disappointing. Zerooooo star!

Ordered fish and chips last week which arrived in a box, beautiful fish with crispy batter, just received my order tonight and fish was dry, over cooked and had completely different greasy batter on it, very very disappointed

Chips were really nice, not greasy, fresh and hot. Curry sauce really really nice, as well as the gravy. Mince beef and onion pie was nice, not Holland’s but tasty just the same. Unfortunately ordered 2 cans of coke but only received one, that’s the only reason i didn’t give full stars. Was quickly refunded for the drink though. Thanks guys really enjoyed that, I’ll be ordering again

Salt and pepper chips weren’t salt and pepper just chips with ground salt and pepper on! The samosa’s were bland and scallop hard. Chicken wrap ok and gravy and curry ok. Chips had a lot of scraps and food was cold luke warm at best. First and last time to order from here 🤬

Very poor customer service skills, the owner was too busy on the phone and i had to wait ages to be served also the food tasted off, the chips were very hard and cold and the chicken smelt funny! Would not recommend this place to anyone because the food is not very edible. Ended up going in the bin placed a very large order too.

I don’t know how this clown is running a takeaway! I noticed the man serving me was (presuming he’s the owner because he was bossing the other worker around) he kept picking his nose and scratching his head I was appalled! I ran straight out! Never ever setting foot there again

Brilliant food. Very friendly and polite staff I guess he was the owner. Chips were well done as I requested. Spicy sauce was amazing with a unique taste. Chicken with chips and magical sauce next time! as 3 people ordered it while I was waiting for my order.
