Really amazing. Very very good food, attentive and consistent service and a great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Celebrated granddaughter's birthday. Lovely table for 7, well looked after by all the staff, the menu had some unknown to us dishes which made our dining experience all the more special. Will definitely visit again.

Ate here with friends as close to work. Driven by many times. We didn’t book but were fitted in. Prompt service and was a packed restaurant for a Wednesday night. Drinks and popadums came quickly as did the mains. Piping hot and very flavourful. Highly recommended.

Nice restaurant second visit, atmosphere different on this occasion. Service ok, food good. Will be a while before going again. Hospitality lacking on leaving.

Great place to eat with friendly staff

Tried Krishna's today after hearing lots of good things about it had a Chicken Tikka Massala my Partner had a Prawn Tikka Massala the curries we're amazing very creamy and delicious also had Onion Bhaji's and Garlic Naan as well unfortunately wasn't as good the Bhaji's we're a bit bland and The Garlic in the Naan wasn't as strong as i would like apart from that was excellent would eat here again.

Our first visit to Krishna's and won't be our last. Excellent food, excellent quality, excellent service. Need I say more.

Just been here with 6 of family members for a birthday meal and the food was amazing first time we have been hear but will definitely be returning. Food was cooked perfectly and the prices was very reasonable.

Very good food, friendly staff

Wow, what a transformation from a chip shop to an authentic Indian restaurant. It was originally a pub, and once inside you can sort of still see that. But it works. The well laid out bar to the left is welcoming and brightly laid out. The restuarant seating area to the right is spacious though a little old fashioned in design. The food, again wow. Although not an exhaustive menu, the thought behind it is simple and quite sublime. Yesterday evening, pre-booked, 7 of us arrived to a warm welcome and were shown to the aforementioned bar. Literally 2 minutes later we were ushered to our table ( big guys a little squished) ordered another beer! Having been there before, one of our group mentioned that the lamb chops were amazing and indeed they were. A few of us ordered the chicken tikka shashlik. The portions were huge and they accompanying sauce was fantastic. It is one of those places that you visit perhaps on a recommendation (as we did) and end up telling everyone that will listen how good it was. We and our families will be visiting here again. Try it, you will not be disappointed by the parking facilities, welcome, bar, menu choices and flavours of this wonderful jewel on the road into Gosport, Hampshire.

I found the food very nice just a quibble about portion sizes. In particular the puddings were tiny.

Whilst not the cheapest eatery in Gosport, probably the best value for money, absolutely superb food, great service, I would highly recommend a visit.

The food was outstanding, by far the best Indian food I've ever had and the service was impeccable. The thing I noticed the most was how clean the venue was and (this is weird I know) the staff smelled so lovely! Highly recommend a visit we'll be back for sure.

For a change went here for New Year, service seemed on the slow side although did not seem too busy. The food when it arrived did not seem very hot, mine did have a slight burnt taste, but others said was OK. Would not go back

Had a meal last night and the food was delicious, the host was also amazing , who gave me a free birthday drink (thankyou for that) , nicely decorated , give it a go , you won't be disappointed.

I had previously frequented The White Horse in Droxford, where the current proprietor of Krishna's was based, always enjoyed it there. The same great service and food after they moved here to Gosport, in fact, I think they maybe even stepped up their game. The Chicken Shashlik dish I had was cooked to perfection and they have made a lovely job of making what was once a pretty shabby pub into a great spot for a curry. Would definitely go again.

The owner is very rude and disrespectful. Looking at other replies, arrogant too. The food is not the best we have had, from when we visited earlier, we are Indians so we know well what good Indian food tastes like. However, we decided to give them a second chance, and came back from 10 miles away, after checking if they will serve 2-3 people with kids, who have allergies and will not eat their food but will sit in with us. I checked even at the door one more time. The owner after inviting us in, then declined us as my kids had outside food in their hands. I can understand if it was for other reasons but not after informing them that it was due to allergies. We were not happy with their knowledge of what has nuts and what doesn’t last time we came so we bought food for our kids before coming. The owner seemed in a hurry to close the restaurant at 9.30 pm and we arrived at 8.30 pm after checking on phone. Never returning to the place and will never recommend to anyone.

Lovely food at Krishna's on our first visit with friends. Nice cocktails as well which was a nice unexpected touch. Would return again when next in the area.

A brilliant Indian restaurant with excellent service

We went here for my birthday meal on Christmas Eve, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful making us feel welcome they did not rush us, and gave us good advice on the different items on the menu. The food was delicious with perfect portions and came out in good time. Finally the atmosphere was lovely and cozy, I cannot fault this place at all and I will definitely be returning and can recommend it to anyone!

I was warned that the food was amazing, and by eating here, I'd be addicted. I proved them right. It's incredible. I hope this place lasts as I feel as though the sites cursed. We visited, a few weeks ago, 8 of us. We had food and PLENTY of drinks. I think we paid less than £400 and we walked out very merry and full to the brim. If you'd like something and it's not on the menu, they're happy to take a request, which is a great touch. I asked for a Lamb Pathia, hot, and that's exactly what I received. If you're reading this, order the Chicken 65 starter. It's amazing!

It's no surprise that Krishna's has been voted best Indian restaurant in Hampshire! Not only is the food superb, so individual and beautifully presented but the atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are so welcoming and warm. This has to be the best restaurant ever!!

Easy to find and park. Greeted by staff on entry, shown to booked table. Menu given and orders taken quickly. Ordered veg biriani, veg kebab, lamb samosa chaat and plain nan. Well presented dishes, looked appetising. Spicing very subtle, well below our taste buds and we both thought food lacked seasoning. Will have to try meat dishes next time.

lovely food, great service, restaurant one side, cocktail bar on the other side, nicely decorated and very clean. menu isn't too big and has all the favourites with some less common choices (the salmon fillets were lovely), prices some good some not so good but all cooked well and fresh. you can see in the kitchen. we've been a couple of times now and will definitely be back, we're not big drinkers, beers/cocktails will bump the price up, we average about £20-23 per head which i think is excellent vfm

Have driven past Krishnas every night since it opened, had a look at the impressive website and was not dissapointed...The welcome was very good, seated straight away, lovely seating and layout and the food was was absolutely beautiful, this was our first date night for a very long time and we were very happy with everything Good size portions would probably split a rice and main if having the same dish just so we try the side dishes aswell. Fantastic all round 5 stars

This is honestly one of the best Indian meals I've ever had. I can't believe I've not visited this establishment before tonight. Esqusite food with an abundance of delicious flavours. Beautifully presented,with great attention to detail. It was also my partners Birthday today so the staff kindly brought him out a scrumptious dessert with a candle, and then sang happy Birthday. This really topped the evening off,and I can not thank the staff at Krishnas enough. I only hope that this lovely little restaurant will stay put for many years to come as we will definitely be back. Thank you.

Sunday evening meal and restaurant was busy good sign! Had to wait for our table to be ready so sat in the bar and had a drink, which wasn’t a problem. The meal was delicious, butter chicken was great with thick sauce the trio biryani excellent with a great amount of chicken, lamb and prawns.The service was very good, attentive, helpful but not intrusive. Decided to try Krishna’s after seeing it on Facebook so pleased we did and I can see why it has been voted No.1 had a chat with the owners after are meal they are charming. Will certainly return, many thanks.

Hadn't booked but the staff found us a table. Staff were attentive. Food arrived quite quickly after ordering. Presented well and tasted fantastic.

The food was superb, I had chicken curry, I got to chose what rice I liked from the selection on the menu. I had chocolate profiteroles to finish. Reasonable prices.

Really enjoyed this place! Great food and large selection of drinks, had a lovely bottle of red... heat in the food toned down a fair bit, but I guess I could have asked for a hotter veg curry with my house special Byriani. Recommend for a group meal

Had a big family dinner at Krishnas for a birthday back in July. The Owner / Manager was great help with food options for a set menu and arranged a nice section to ourselves. Perfect for a big family dinner. On the day the staff were excellent, very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing, everyone loved it!

Nice authentic style food. Food was presented well, great portion size and price. Would return again. I would recommend them looking at small tapas style tasters for a table to help customers experience more of the authentic menu and to bring back more clientel with a buzz to see and taste more of the menu.

Fantastic food, very tasty and great portions staff allowed me the freedom of deciding the level of spice. Fast friendly service of the highest quality felt exceptionally looked after and catered to, cannot say enough good things about this fantastic place. I travel the UK for work and make a point of finding a good curry everywhere I go (for the last 5years) this place is in the top 3 easily. Well done Krishna’s fantastic

Just been along for a meal here at Krishna's. Like all locals I've held off as the old North Star pub has changed hands and styles so much these last 20 years no one can get it right. BUT you can stop waiting this time it's finally found its feet. Staff are friendly service fast and never missed a beat even as it got busy. Menu is smaller than the average (thats what was need!) So they can produce amazing looking and great tasting food. We all had a pakora for starters wish i had taken a picture. Note it had a lovely gentle kick of heat and I had the lamb kebabs with boiled rice and sides to finish. That's enough to mean you can just roll out to the car! Price was good. 3 hungry men 6 pints of cobra, starters mains and many sides including nans £130 we had a lot of extras so I would say average out at £35 per and you will be close. To cut a long story short GO HERE!

Terrific food, with very little to compare with a High Street Indian restaurant, but can be pricy. Don't get the poppadoms, as you only get 4 halves for £4.50p.

Food was incredible, staff were very friendly and attentive. Reasonably priced. The cheese dumpling desert was fantastic. We will be booking again soon

Went at lunchtime and it was quite quiet, however... The food was gorgeous, the staff were really attentive and made us feel really welcome. The restaurant itself is nicely designed. The rose wine we had was a good price and really nice. I will be going again.

When staying locally this turned up on the map as an interesting food option, so we went one evening. It was fully booked but space was found in the bar/lounge - which was fine. The staff were really friendly and courteous, very welcoming, and put up with our menu indecision: the food is really interesting and we could probably have tried everything on the menu. It's definitely Indian but very different to many other restaurants, if you like interesting Indian food and are in the area make a reservation.

I love Indian food and have probably eaten in over 100 different Indian restaurants over the last 35 years.. Including 2 with Michelin stars Benares in Mayfair and Thevar in Singapore so The food here is really good quality comparable with the very best & sensibly priced with lots of different dishes it’s definitely in my top 3 places to eat and well worth a try it will be a 100% be regular place for me to visit now. I have now had 3 meal here each time absolutely spot on I have recommended it to friends and family and pretty much have all said best Indian food they have had.

Took my dad here for Father’s Day and we had a wonderful time! The food was beautiful, the staff were absolutely lovely and it was a truly amazing lunch. I can’t recommend Krishna’s enough.

Went there for a family birthday. The staff were really nice and welcoming and the food was amazing - our group ranged from 14 years old to 86 years old and everyone thought their food was fantastic. And then, completely unprompted they brought out a birthday cake and candle for one of our group when we said we were there for her birthday. Would definitely recommend.

We went here for my Father's Birthday, it was a family of 8 the staff were lovely very helpful. The food catered to all diets everyone loved it there was a small slip up with lack of ordered rice but it was not missed and everyone had a lovely time. We did have to boot4 weeks in advance it is very popular! But well worth a visit.

We were a large party of 12 and the staff did a brilliant job waiting on us considering the restaurant was busy. The food was amazing it was beautifully presented on the plate and the taste and smell were out of this world. The only slight negative is that if you are wanting the usual suspects of chicken/lamb tikka masala or korma then you will be disappointed as they are not on the menu. We knew this before arriving so no dramas... Overall an excellent night and we will return.

Had a wonderful time in Krishna’s. I asked from something off the menu with no problems. The food quality was excellent and with the presentation. I can recommend the Chicken 65 as a starter.. simply wonderful! Had cocktails as well.. good selection Shekhar and Alex are an excellent team and this reflects in the quality of this restaurant.

Kadhai panner, bhindi do pyasa very delicious and great recipe ever, proper test with tadka(fry) Friendly staff, grils staff also have very nice nature and good service

I was expecting the absolute best, given how difficult it is to get a table unless you book a long way in advance. The food is OK but very limited menu but they do say they'll make anything you want. They had a lot of staff on that night but apart from taking initial order, didn't find them at all attentive, ie no one came to ask if we wanted more drinks etc. Also the mains are expensive, more than any other in the area. Which is why I've given my star rating. The Blue Cobra and New Bengal have better offering.

What am amazing dining experience. Went there tonight with two friends. Lots of space, great decor, amazing service and food to blow the your mind. We were discussing we would like something that was not on the menu, the waiter overheard and just said we can do that for you. That was excellent. Thank you

Restaurant was nearly at full capacity which was good to see. I've always wanted this place to do well. Staff were very polite considering working under presure. They even managed a birthday cake for my wife which was a nice surprise. Food was just top notch couldn't fault it. I think some relaxing music in the bar area would be nice and perhaps a few more tables n chairs. However I know u had a large group where they were needed.
