Had such a wonderful experience at Korat last night for my birthday, the staff were so friendly and Accommodating and the food was outstanding, my husband took supplied a cake for birthday and they even decorated it with extra fruit and mint! It looked so lovely xx thanks again for making my evening very special x

Yet again the Korat has surpassed itself, i had my partners birthday and family at a table of eight, food was amazing, staff were polite, Pinney the owner even put out ballons and happy birthday signs for me. Well done to the Korat. steve

The food is first class and delicious. The decor is to a high standard and the service is very attentive. A wonderful dining experience but..... the music is a negative distraction. Too loud and disco music rather than tranquil authentic dining music. Would like to feel I'm in Thailand rather than at Wembley or the O2! I return for the food rather than the ambience! I would recommend a review of the music!!!

This is the second time I have visited this restaurant and therefore my second review. The restaurant in my opinion has already lost it's way, too many young waitresses standing at the bar (at least 5) blocking the entrance to the restaurant. Upon arrival we were seated at a table on the left of the restaurant and then suddenly told that was not our table and seated on the right side of the restaurant. We were waiting for our friends to arrive and were asked if we would like drinks we said we were not ready and the waitress returning to the bar rolled her eyes in a spectacular manner for the other young waitresses, perhaps she thought I could not see her reaction, this happened more than once and also when she asked to couple next to us if they were ready to order! When our friends did arrived we were ready to order drinks, we asked the waitress about Red Wine - "do you have a Merlot?", "Don't know" was the response, rather than going to check she just stood there, so we didn't bother with a bottle of wine. Stater's ordered, last one to be handed over with the comment "err think this is prawns" it was calamari so we pointed that out.! Which co-incidentally had one breaded chicken piece in it! Thankfully this was not served to a pescatarian! Mains ordered, hot plates delivered, no mains arriving until plates had gone cold, all mains tasty and looked good except for the Masaman Curry which had NO vegetables in apart from two "tinned" new potatoes. I did suggest it be sent back but the disappointment was obvious and the curry experience ruined, who on earth puts tinned potatoes in a "fresh" Thai curry? which on the menu says "A southern thai dish of slowly braised meat with onion, potato and capsicum peppers, not at all satisfactory and not cheap at £16.90. During the meal the constant noise of a "doorbell" sound interrupting and spoiling the experience, this was to notify that takeaways were ready to be brought from the kitchen to the front of house which they were at a rate of knots. Also would be an idea to supply knives along with forks and spoons to cut up said calamari and meat dishes. This was a disappointing experience not to be repeated, we had recommended Korat Thai to our friends and now wish we hadn't. The staff would benefit from some in house training and etiquette. This is high-end price wise and needs to be reflected in the quality and service. Its is a great shame that the standards we first encountered are not being kept up. The awning outside needs to be raised up higher before someone bashes their head rather badly on it as it is far too low.

Korat Thai has got to be one of my favorite restaurants, the food is absolutely amazing and authentic. Such a great choice of dishes and being vegetarian this is great for me... the staff are really lovely and make you feel welcome from the moment you make a booking..... oh and you have to sample the cocktails!!!! and enjoy the vibes of this gem in Upminster

Had our work Christmas party here. It was the perfect venue. Beautiful decor, some of the best Thai food we've ever eaten & friendly staff, Wide range of food to choose from & an extensive cocktail list. A great night was had by all. Thank you Korat, we will be back

I first came here with my family and we had such a great time. From the bar man to the serving lady they all paid so much attention to us. Nothing was too much for them to do in telling you what in the menu. Great family atmosphere for my children too.

Great experience with fantastic food. Pre booked the table and glad we did as the restaurant was full on a Saturday evening. We went for the £40 PP menu option. Big sharing platter for starters and a good choice of ‘mains’. Would really recommend a visit.

My friends and I are 19 year old students. Our visit to Korat was a special re union. It is not cheap but we were told the food is good. Mistakes were made with our starter and main courses. No apology for the subsequent delays. Dessert was taking forever. Upon our enquiry about when it would arrive, we were informed that the chef was very busy and asked if we would prefer to skip dessert. It was apparent that the reason for the question was that they needed the table for the next booking. We noticed that the table next to us (two couples in their thirties) did not receive the same rush. Really made us unwelcome. I am sure that service would have been different if we were in our 30s. Spoiled our whole evening.

Had a lovely family meal, friendly customer service. Food was so good and cocktails even better 😋 Can’t wait to go back
