I used to love this bakery back in the days. Their coffee was excellent and cakes were one the best in the city. Their St Clements cake was to die for. Over the years, I've noticed their prices were going steadily up and the quality was going down. So, I stopped going there. I visited their shop at Waterloo yesterday after work. I felt I needed some sweet treat after quite a stressful week. I took just one pecan brownie as I did not like the look of any other cakes. What a disappointment! That was everything the brownie is not about. It was dry and crumbly, with massive chunks of some very bitter chocolate. I had the impression there was a lot of cacao and chocolate was there just as a reminder what should we put in our brownies. Pecans were only lightly sprinkled on the top and I couldn't taste them at all. I thought it was out of date, so it ended in the bin, after all. For the price that seemed much higher than in many shops around, it was definitely not worth it.

they serve a lot of nice cakes and brownies but need help in the customer service area. Staff was not friendly and doesnt make us feel welcomed. The brownies are not cheap to start with; and so are the other cakes. If it wasnt for the meet up group; i wouldn’t have entered this place.

I popped in to this attractive looking place yesterday, and I accept that it was late in the day so maybe the staff were exhausted but it was all a bit beyond belief. I ordered a cup of tea and a brownie to sit in and it wasn't cheap - although better than the person in front of me who was accidentally charged £200 instead of £20 with barely any apology. Obviously they fixed it, but the staff didn't seem at all bothered that they'd made the error. My brownie was really tasty, but the cup of tea absolutely scalding with no clear means of cooling it down (luckily I had my own cold water with me) and the tables were all filthy even though the staff didn't appear to be run off their feet. I'd go again, but for take away.

I just walked past this little shop and decided to venture in. Obviously I ended up buying a brownie. The Boston Brownie was perhaps the best brownie I have ever had. It was delicious. Fantastic gem to stumble across on my way home.

The cake is divine, the service courteous and helpful, the setting pleasant and the layout makes you want to ask for the whole shop to be boxed up and delivered to your door. You can't go wrong with a K&C cake. I admit to not just travelling there in September but October. And I went last November. And...oh you get the picture don't you.

I have been going to this wonderful bakery and cake shop for years, since I was a student at Kings Collie in the late 1990's. The cakes are probably the best in London, certainly the best I have tasted. I can recommend all of them, but my favourite is the curly wurly cake.

We love this shop and return each time we are in London. We rarely stop and one cake and always enjoy ourselves. There is always a gluten free option which we love.

My Partner and I visited the Kondiotr and Cook cake school for a birthday treat. The class was really well ran, and was packed full of information and baking tricks from start to finish. The teacher was super friendly and happy to answer questions as we ran through the class. We also walked home with stacks of baked goods to feast on over the rest of the week. I would definitely recommend these classes, and I will definitely be making a return soon!

We can recommend the Brownies - all four different types we tried were fabulous. This is a cake shop that will also sell you take away coffee - but it is not a restaurant (so a tad surprised to see it on TripAdvisor!)Worth visiting to buy cakes though and i will certainly go again!

This is a posh bakery rather than a restaurant. It does the best brownies in London though, and their Curly Wurly cake is so addictive I had one made as a wedding cake.

I often pick up brownies here, mainly as a treat for colleagues or for me to share with my husband. We deviated a bit last week and ordered slices of cake- oh my goodness... Heaven! It's a tiny little place tucked away behind Waterloo- it's so charming and the service is excellent, even though it's always bustling with customers. Love it!

It might be a hard to find, tucked away in a side street near the Waterloo tube station but once you find it, you must tuck into their delicious sweet treats!

We have been living south London for a while but we were struggling to find the good local Vietnamese restaurant until NOW! I ordered Beef pho, delicious! My son had a crispy pork and rice, delicious! and My husband had a Bun cha, DELICIOUS! (also deep fried squid for starter, fantastic) We were so glad finally found a good restaurant not too far from us. We will be coming back definitely soon. Thank you so much.

If I have to judge this place on the food, the food was great, very inventive and very well presented. The wine and sake list was to die for. But the rest of the experience was a bit disappointing. The place at yeh beginning looked nice, like you are suddenly projected into Japan, but then looks like it is an area with other restaurants pop up and you could hear from our table the noise from the other places, also the toilette were shares with other places and when I used them there was a flooding going on, not great. I thought that the services was too rushed, I think we had the 6 courses in like 45 mins top. I couldn’t put my glass down that they would have refilled after one second..I didn’t find the pace relaxing. The price overall was 280 for 2 people, probably a touch too expensive overall, and I have to be honest I was still hungry when I left the restaurant.
