Became a regular a few weeks ago, their food (especially the salmon pokebowls) are high quality, affordable and to die for. Plus, the cute korean ajummas are always fun to talk to. Highly recommend this place !

Didn’t have what I wanted and so I chose something else but it was dry and the chicken was tough, not really happy for paying £8.10 for a small but when I took my food upstairs it was a quiet plain room to sit and eat.

Great food and great service, it is quick and sufficient, staff are friendly and prices are okay too.

The food was great but the queue was too long, 3 staff in the kitchen 1 serving/taking money/making the combo and 2 JUST cutting the fried chicken cutlets. Surly one person cutting the cutlets is enough, but I aint no chef I suppose.

It's a Japanese concept restaurant, but they have a lot of Korean food on the menu (they also sell chocolate pies)😀 Basically, the amount of food is generous for the price, and the curry and miso soup were tasty enough for a 5-year-old child to eat. The rolls and sushi are also great for the price. I'm experiencing sky-high prices in the UK, but this is a ray of light after Korean supermarkets.🩷

Top quality sushi at the perfect price! Salmon and tuna sushi set was a great choice with a side of kimchi and diet coke for £14! Bargain for the quality of the service & sushi! Highly recommend a visit here if you’re looking for a delicious working lunch or nice sit down meal.

I absolutely love kokoro, they have the best food and amazing service. I was served by Dinithi who was so lovely and welcoming and fast with our order!

The noodles were rather tough and the Katsu Curry was just "ok". Nothing special.

The rice is the best ㅠㅠ It’s delicious, I know the taste.

Spicy tuna roll was super fishy. I couldn’t even get the third piece down.

I come here quite often when I'm in town central, and I always enjoy myself. Delicious, varied, quick food for a fairly cheap price. The staff are very attentive and ensure everybody gets seen to quickly, and they cut no corners when you make an order.

Most delicious food for a reality fair price. Definitely I'll go more times there.

Finally, we had some good asian food. Ordered takeaway meal; Salmon Sushi roll, Hawaii poke and cheese corn dog. They all tasted excellent. Going for poke meal if you are looking for well balance diet.

Ordered 4 hours in advance, never recieved my food and restaurant cancelled my order at ten to eight at night... If I could give 0 stars I would. Don't order from here and expect food.

Came today and the food was absolutely gorgeous (hot Kokoto box) even took a spicy salmon sushi box home for snacks! Highly recommend

The food here tastes delicious. My friends insisted I try this place out. I ordered bbq chicken with rice. Although the portion size looked small, don't be fooled it was definitely filling. The prices could of been cheaper but overall the staff were friendly as well and the service was good too. I'd definitely recommend going here.

Went to visit today to take away food as usual. The food didn't make the walk from the shop to Lime Street station before the sauce container they charge extra for exploded in the bag. Thank you.

Suitable for Asian people who want real Japanese food. Delicious fresh salmon sashimi Salmon sushi rice was a little hard for me. Delicious chicken gyoza The vegetable dumplings weren't to my liking but my wife said they were delicious. I'm here to remind you because I went to eat at another Japanese restaurant before. But it was cooked in a different way, I wasn't happy.

Asian fast food/Japanese food (sushi) place in Liverpool. I tried the chicken gyoza and the nigiri, both were great. The service is good. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired, the tables outside are a little untidy and dirty. But, to eat quickly or take away it is a good idea. Thanks!

The best fast food you can get in Liverpool.

I ordered a large chicken katsu curry with noodles, and given the price, I expected it to be freshly prepared. However, to my surprise, they microwaved the noodles right in front of me. While the dish was extremely hot initially, it cooled down fairly quickly. The chicken was decent, but nothing exceptional. Overall, I'm giving it 3 stars because I've had much better chicken katsu elsewhere for a lower price. It wasn't terrible, but it went below my expectations.

We were given samples to try as we were unsure about the flavours and level of spice. Portions were of good size, options plentiful. We had spicy chilli chicken n noodles, prawn tempura with noodles and chicken jjajengmyeon n noodles and veg spring rolls. Seating upstairs was like cafe and clean. Definitely will come again as we loved the food.

Walk by and we try to get some snaks, end up having a main, because the woman in front is was so exited friendly and full of positive energy gives us free samples. I grab Tuna Poke! It was freash full of vegies so colorful and obviosly delicous. Also grab Takoyaki is worth it to try xx . Thank you for amazing experience and amazing food!!

the poke bowl is fantastic, and the portion sizes are great. I highly recommend tuna onigiri as well. staff are nice & friendly, atmosphere is great

the most affordable shushi option in town… but it tastes so weird… Salmon cant go too wrong but the texture of Tuna is like a rubber… they made japanese rice like overcooked sticky rice… just when you have tight budget but still want some shushi and starving…

£6.90 for Ramen this good!!! Others will want to add meat of course but for me its all about the noodles and sauce.

I watched them build my little cardboard tub of food. And I thought... I can do that. So the following week I went the shops bought a box of 4 frozen chicken covered in batter (1.69) some maygay Chinese chippy curry base (2.55) and a kilo of basmati rice ((1.80). Washed and boiled the rice 20 mins, chicken things in air fryer 15 mins and added boiling water with half a chopped onion and a few frozen peas to curry mix 5mins. So for 2 quid less that what it cast me for me scran from this place I made the same dish for 4 people and have enough rice and curry left for 8 more servings, just need 2 more chicken packs, so, essentially for £1.50 more out lay I could make 12... Yes 12 servings that they sell here. The food from Kokoro was well cooked , nicely presented and tbf not a bad price for a hot fast food takeaway and I would probably go there again as the Lob Pot is now garbage since it's been taken over and the staff are like walking corpses... Unlike the happy, chatty ladies in Kokoro which has a quick service as well. But watching them build my scran inspired me to a great new idea for home cooking. As well as curry, we have served the same scran but with sweet and sour, satay sauce etc. A great place. Thanks Kokoro

Lovely place and I always love visiting when I’m in Liverpool. They have lots of vegetarian options and quite a large menu overall. The veggie roll and tofu katsu curry are my personal favourites. Staff are always nice and the service is fast, and they also have some seating upstairs too.

If you want to meet the nicest people and get the most delicious chicken in town, you need to come here😍 we even got free samples for trying the chicken and it was amazing 😍 the prices are perfect, the staff is nice, what else you would wish from a restaurant!

Had sweet and sour chicken with noodles and the first bit of chicken tasted off and then looked properly and the chicken was RAW! Not just one piece either! Wont be going back. Do not recommend

Very good sushi for a good price

The yummy smell of the food attracted me to visit this place. I ordered chicken katsu curry with rice which was as expected, The taste was similar to Indian curry, but I liked it,and the menu had various selections I am going to try other items very soon. As we can see from the front as open kitchen, the food and hygiene standards were followed, and it was clean and tidy. The prices were affordable and the staff were friendly. If anyone looking for a quick lunch around city, you should visit this place.

Absolutely delicious sushi ! Had the Salmon lover set then went back the next day for the chicken katsu curry. Freshly prepared and very tasty food, will visit again when in Liverpool.

The food here is always so good, I love how they have so many hot and cold Japanese dishes to choose from. The service is very speedy, if your looking for a quick eat in meal or grab and go. The only thing I felt was missing was some music in the eating area upstair, just to filter out noises and bring some energy to the room.

I sometimes go to eat cutlet curry. You can also take out, the price is cheap, and the portions are large.

It's not Japanese its now a Halal Islamic practice and last time I checked that is not Japanese food. I wonder when this changed? I don't like religion won't be going back.

Hmmm... a bit dodgy. Japanese restaurant with a big sign "Arabic owned selling only hand slaughtered products". Put me off. Beware of that if you are veg/vegan. And unfortunately not japanese at all judging by the menu. Shame, as I was really planning to eat there.

My daughter is a regular and took me here. I had Korean fried chicken with rice and couldn’t finish it. Deceptively filling. We tried the seaweed salad and it’s really tasty. Would go again for sure.

Our first time visiting Kokoro and we'll definitely be coming back. The staff are very friendly and prompt with service. The sushi was fresh, flavorful and filling and the katsu chicken was hot, full of flavor and unlike other reviews, covered in sauce. The upstairs seating area is pleasant and clean. Very nice relaxed atmosphere.

Where's the sauce?! Got the chicken katsu (large) you would expect with this you would get more than a dash of katsu curry. It didn't cover the chicken and didn't even get to the rice. If you ask for more then you get a surly look from the assistant and pushed towards ordering a whole pot of sauce, which is too much for one meal. You would think I was trying to take more sauce from their own plate!! The old boss/ owner was never this stingy and never had this attitude. I can only guess the reduced reported cleanliness goes hand in hand with the current manager with their stinginess and bad attitude either with them or the staff under them. The food is still nice but improvement is needed on multiple fronts!!

My first time and the last one. I know Kokoro as a company and, this one, doesn’t represent it at all! The staff was bored, annoyed and rude, was looking like they didn’t want us to take the order. If I could give a vote for the costumer service, it would be 0. I usually go to Kokomo in Nottingham because I live there and today I was in Liverpool with friends and I was so happy to see that there was a Kokoro here, but once left the place, all of us we were unhappy. ❌❌❌

It was very helpful when I was traveling with my child. Warm cutlet curry and large tuna rice balls. The curry is not spicy so it is recommended for children. The sushi roll was moist and delicious with rice. The children, who were tired of eating out at hotels and eating out, competed for food. The Japanese clerk was very kind (and the other woman was also friendly), but it was a short time, but I had a great time☺️

Korean Fried Chicken is incredible.

Kokoro is a really nice place to grab a snack or a hot meal on the go when passing by. I love their onigiri, they are fresh and tasty and make for a filling and healthy lunch. There is a good choice of beverages and hot meals as well.

I moved down to Cornwall a couple of years ago from Liverpool, whenever I come back I make sure to come to Kokoro 💖 lovely food at a lovely price
