Kirk View Cafe & Bistro in Aberdeen City

Lovely tapas - cheese bruschetta was amazing. Burger plentiful and good ingredients. Good pricing Great friendly and down to earth service.

We went to Kirk View at the weekend for our Granny's 90th. We used the Caberstone Lounge for exclusive use. It was absolutely ideal for what we needed. Rob and Sarah were able to fulfill our dietary requests perfectly. Everyone was catered for. We had a Tapas style meal for 24 of us. We even had a magician show. The waiting staff were so attentive. Nothing was a bother. Harvey made sure we were catered for perfectly. Thank you again to all of the team at Kirk View. Fantastic value for money! And supporting local at the same time - doesn't get much better than that! A must visit for all types of events.

Very nice meal, pre theatre and everything was fresh, piping hot and absolutely delicious. No room for pudding but the choices were tempting. Prompt cheerful service meant we we’re finished in plenty of time. Thank you

Fantastic food - if I could have written my dream menu, this was it! Haggis bon bons with a delicious whisky sauce to start, chicken balmoral for the main and a sticky toffee pudding to finish. We had the pre theatre 3 courses for £28 which was well priced and the food was just so good! Will definitely be coming back!

I visited yesterday with friends for dinner. We had the taps menu, cocktails and wine. The food was fantastic. Served quickly, hot and tasted wonderful. The cocktails were also great. The waitress we had was very friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our night special. The prices for both food and drinks are very good value. Fresh, good quality ingredients. Can’t wait to go back!

I recently had lunch at Kirkview as always the food was lovely The reason for leaving a review is that we were disappointed on how one of the service team spoke to I assume a more junior member of the serving team . This is not pleasant to witness and spoilt an otherwise pleasant afternoon.

I was out with some friends celebrating. We decided to go to Kirk View. I hadn’t been since it was tapas dishes. The staff were really lovely and friendly. It wasn’t busy when we went in. Most expensive pot noodle in history. £14 for a risotto that tasted similar. Burgers amazingly average and chips undercooked and uninspiring. Don’t visit here , it was cold and disappointing.

Was to the old one couple of times so was excited about going to the new place . My ideal chance to try the menu was during Restaurant week in Aberdeen .On Thursday early evening me , my wife ,sister in law and brother in law . The 3 course menu was £20 so we all opted for that . 2 soup of the day ,mussels and I had the haggis& black pudding bon bons but only 2 small per portion(a bit mean ) all cooked well. Main courses 2 sweet pepper chilli chicken burger,smoked haddock rissotto and spaghetti chicken and smoked bacon carbonara. Burgers large portions,rissotto and pasta very small ! Desserts 3 raspberry Eton mess and mixed ice cream , Eton mess no mess !!!! meringue nest with raspberries, sauce but aerosol cream ??? All this criticism is because I was a Chef for 42 years at various levels and these things I noticed without being too harsh had 4 drinks overpriced . Very pleasant staff ,friendly , very young , but the idea of restaurant week is to promote your place not to make smaller portions and cut a few corners .

Haddock & leek risotto lacked flavour and no sign of haddock. Roasted pepper sweet chilli chicken burger not what expected, was like a chicken and pepper stew in a bun, chicken was luke warm and had no sweet chilli flavour.
