Sunday lunch April 2024 excellent service Special menu 4 course meal £18.50 each lots of choice would highly recommend

The food is decent, but its very expensive drinks. 16 quid for a 2 pints of lager and a pint of diet coke. Also, when ordering your starters, be very very clear, as my intended Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings Starter, which is £6.70, somehow turned into Salt and Pepper Chicken Slices (which is a £14.80 main course). The positive is you can get your own separate bills even if you are in a large party.

Lovely restaurant, fabulour atmosphere, great food. You need to book to ensure a table. The service is excellent and quick, not much waiting for your food to arrive.

Visited tonite 5th March Tuesday for wife's birthday. Used to go quite often but having family seemed to ease off for a spell. Not lossed it's charm if not even better. Food absolutely spot on. Service relaxed but professionally done. Laid back atmosphere. Nice for a relaxed evening.

The waiter insulted our order and called us boring, and upset my girlfriend by calling her a man. If we hadn’t have been there to meet friends we’d have left. The food was just ok, nothing special.

Went for lunch and the food was very good. Hot and tasty. We had 4 courses for £18 each. Would go again.

I visited this place initially about 15 years ago, and it's exactly the same but that's what I love it! The food was amazing, the staff were super nice and welcoming and even though we went on a Wednesday and it was quiet we had a lovely date night. I would highly recommend! Also u love the 80's/90's tunes made me feel all young again! Such a lovely place, please go and get it 👍🏼

It was early evening but felt rushed, it was like an 80s/90s throw back, but modern day prices. Food was bland, over sweet, ribs super tough. Obviously still popular with locals but not for us

Fabulous restaurant, great food that is quickly and efficiently served. Choice is very good but you do not have to troll through pages and pages of dishes, which can be very off putting. The restaurant ambience is ver good, you can easily chat to your friends with no lous musice blaring in your ears. From greeting to leaving the staff are friendly and efficient.

We dined out as a group of 5 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The service was brilliant - staff were very nice. The food was piping hot and delicious! We will 100% return.

Great visit at Kings Cantonese. I went randomly after driving past it many times and I'm glad I have. Every single dish I had was high quality and full of flavour. You get some different dishes to other Cantonese restaurants but they are all delicious. I found the prices to be higher than any other similar restaurant I've been to in the past which I respect as it's great food and service all around - this doesn't lose a star but I'd like to see more offers. I didn't take advantage of their various course deals on this occasion as I believe it wasn't on at the time of my visit but I'd definitely come back to try it! Either way I'll visit again for any special occasion as I think that suits this type of meal when celebrating or wanting a treat while not travelling miles away.

Absolutely superb. Needs 6 or more stars. The food is wonderful, generous portions of beautiful food. Very helpful staff who can easily split down a large party into manageable bills makes settling up much easier. Has old style pub bar with seating area. Small carpark but on road parking at 1 side as the other is near traffic lights. Recommend booking in advance.

Staff were lovely and very attentive. Portions were big and food perfectly fine but a bit pricey for what you’re getting.

After reading good reviews we decided to visit. The food is just not up to good standard at all and really lacked in flavour and the beef was really tough in the curry and tasted strange. We went for the sunday meal deal and we left half of our meals and didn't want to stay for dessert so quickly paid and left.Staff seem friendly but could never go back based on the quality of food.

I've been here a few times now and I'm always happy and leave full to bursting. Upon arrival I'm always treated so wonderfully by the hosting staff. 1st time I came as a large group of 10 people and some.of us were a little fussy and asked for our meals changing slightly (no veg, extra chilli, sauce separate to meal) and they delivered without hesitation and in a reasonable timely manner. Food was delicious we just couldn't stop eating! I came again quite recently (just 2 of us) and we got the same 5* service and the food was hot and delicious. I'd recommend getting some ribs!!! Lamlam was an amazing host and her customer service was above the average. Always smiling!

Well what can I say ???? I was a long time regular at this restaurant over 20 years.. the service and food then was exceptional...I moved out to huddersfield...so as you can imagine I've not been to the restaurant for 5 years or so...and had the pleasure of visiting the other evening with my family, I ordered the same dish as I ordered previously (fillet Steak Cantonese style on a hot plate) and I kid you not, it fulfilled all my expecting, the BBQ SPARE RIBS were the fresh and tastier than ever...the service was quick and effortless...SO ITS A 10 from Bob and I'll be back next week...thank you guys great food xxx

Such a let down. We went 6 months ago and the 4 course meal was £14 now it is £18 and the quality and portion size has really gone downhill. For 3 pints of coke it was £14.55 we asked if this was correct and was told it was. Make no wonder at these prices there was 5 people in there for 1.5hrs for Sunday lunch. That included us. Won’t be returning which is such a shame.

Gone downhill and massively overpriced. We’ve attended the Kings Restaurant many times over the years and always found it to be perfectly acceptable, never amazing but decent enough for a local restaurant. We attended on Saturday the 22nd April and just found it had really gone downhill. We started with spring rolls. These were just the cheapest spring rolls I’ve ever had, the filling literally comprised of two bean sprouts and small piece of carrot and a tiny piece of pork. We ate this morsel with some bitter tasting Soy sauce that was dated 6th June 2017. When we mentioned this to the waiter he replied, oh we get asked this all the time, don’t worry we just fill them up. This didn’t taste like it was true but even if it was remove the date! Whilst we are talking waiters. The head waiter is friendly enough but just stands watching you with his hands folded behind his back, watching like an hawk for you to finish so he can rush the delivery of the next underwhelming course. For mains we had crispy beef in OK and special Satay. The beef wasn’t crispy and the source had a really odd taste. The Satay was gloopy and some of the meat was really poor quality. Even the fried rice was really just boiled rice with some tiny bits of egg thrown in. This was bad enough but the worst part was receiving the bill. For this garbage they had the audacity to charge £51.50 that included two pints of lager. The beef in OK was £14.50! the lager £6 per pint, the ridiculous spring rolls £6.90. We generally eat in Leeds city most Saturdays and most restaurants there are cheaper. One particular Thai restaurant we go to is almost half the price and many times nicer. If you were attending with a large party you’d need a second mortgage. I appreciate everything has recently increased in cost and I’m certainly not adverse to paying for quality food but this is outrageous. Avoid like the plague. One final thing, they also have these awful fish tanks that look like they need a good clean. Watching these whilst eating this terrible food is almost a punishment.

The food here is nice and clean. On this occasion we availed ourselves of the meal deal. £18 per person for a four-course meal. However, the "normal" prices have crept up to a ridiculously high level. We were one of only three tables leading to a distinct lack of atmosphere.

Kings Cantonese do not do take away I went to the premises expecting to purchase a take out but went somewhere else.

It was fantastic haven't had a Chinese like that in a long time they are some great starters like slat and pepper chicken wings and also the see weed the lemon chicken was really good overall it was 10/10

Went for a celebrationary meal, staff were pleasant and curtious, atmosphere was excellent and the food was totally brilliant.

Pleasant restaurant, excellent food, good variety friendly staff, lovely building. It is located in a converted pub, nicely decorated. Dishes sizes are good and delicious. I will be going again for sure. The only issue I have was with locating in with the GPS as the entrance is not really evident and the signs are not very visibles

For us a perfect Wednesday night treat, they have a deal menu sun to Thurs and its great value and really nice food

Food was ok. Parking was limited..

The food was delicious, we shared a meal for two, it would have fed 4. The soup was particularly good and we swapped out the beef for duck with a small surcharge, well worth it, it melted in your mouth. There was enough left over packed into sturdy doggie bags to feed my pal the day after. We will definitely be visiting again on my next venture south.

The veggie wontons and sizzling dishes are the best! Had many family meals here and can honestly say the restaurant is well maintained, clean and has a warm and friendly atmosphere with a spacious bar area. A beautiful little cosy restaurant with a lovely interior serving the most beautiful chinese food in Bradford.

This place looks like a traditional English pub on the outside, but is a Chinese restuarant. The staff were amazing! Very, very attentive and friendly. The interior was lovely and cozy and the men was varied and reasonably priced. Can't wait to come back!!

First visit tonight and won't be the last! Beautiful fresh and tasty food with friendly and professional service. All the family (from age 8 to 71) enjoyed the meal. It was my mum's birthday and she had a great time. Thank you so much for looking after us x

We have been looking for a great Chinese restaurant in the Leeds/Pudsey area and Kings Cantonese in Drighlington did not disappoint. Our party of 7 decided to eat off the main menu rather than the 4 course deal that is available Sun-Thurs. The starter platter full of ribs, prawn toast, seaweed and crispy won ton was amazing. The ribs were so tender with meat falling off the bone. The kids enjoyed their salt and pepper wings too. We ordered a number of main courses with some sides of fried rice, noodles and salt and pepper chips.

Able to squeeze us in at short notice and took our order whilst we waited for a table to become free. We were eating within minutes of sitting down which was great. We all went with the special 4 course set menu which was beautiful. The portions weren't as big as those ordered from the main menu but 4 courses each definitely filled us up. Staff are very welcoming and friendly and we can't wait to come again.

Went last Saturday evening with my cousin from Cornwall and her partner. The service and food was stunning. My cousin and her partner were both very impressed and we all really enjoyed our meal.

Me and my wife have been going years and is one of the best places for all you can eat on a Sunday! :D. How dare he try break a restaurant when they have already been through a bad time this past year you freak! You should be ashamed!

I haven’t had a good Chinese meal in years and I though I would check out the Kings in driglington, I ordered take out,and I wanted some nice food, I looked at trip advisor for reviews and I thought we were safe.Wrong.. the salt and pepper ribs were as tough as old boots,so were the king prawns in sweet and sour sauce,the chewiest I’ve ever had. Salt and pepper chicken,overcooks and chewy.Even the fried rice was anemic and greasy. I swear I won’t be back again.Do yourselves a favour and eat elsewhere.

Nice meal I feel that the decor could do with modernisation but that's just a personal opinion.

We called on a Saturday night and the restaurant was almost full. After the obligatory prawn crackers I ordered Salt and Pepper Squid as a starter. It had lovely crunchy batter and was not too spicy - the portion size was generous for a starter. My wife had satay chicken skewers - the peanut sauce was tasty but not too strong and again a decent sized portion. My main course of king prawn with mixed vegetables was well cooked but after a spicy starter tasted a little bland. My wife had sizzling pork with ginger and spring onion which she really enjoyed. Total bill for 4 including a bottle of rich Shiraz, 4 beers, 2 coffees and 2 liqueur coffees was a reasonable £113. It was our first visit in over 20 years and would definitely visit again.

Excellent menu. Authentic with chopstix! And very happy polite staff. Shame carpark not bigger but plenty of road space nearby.
