One of the nicest Thai meals we've had in a while. The food and service were good and the prices reasonable. The restaurant was quite busy and we could see why. The only slight criticism is that the toilets could do with improvement.

Don't have take away from this restaurant, please. It arrived later than expected, cold and the portions were tiny for the price paid, very expensive considering the amount of food. I don't think they would dare to serve that on a plate. The containers were not full and the price was the same as eating in plus delivery. Avoid take away!!!! They should be ashamed of the service!!!!!!!

Food was tasty and hot. Not too chilli like some Thai restaurants. Seemed popular with locals. Only disappointed with staff not knowing we had pre-booked so a bit spoilt from the beginning but the dishes and atmosphere made up for this. Would try again.

To end our visit to Ruislip we visited the Kin Dee. What a fabulous meal. We enjoyed every minute of our visit the staff were so friendly, the atmosphere was fabulous, the food outstanding. My only complaint is that I don’t live close enough to make it my local eatery. We’ll definitely be back next time We’re in the area.

Kin Dee is exactly what you want in a local high street restaurant. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good food, a great menu so you can mix old friends and new adventures. It is our go-to place for evening or weekend meals. We always come out feeling that we have had a good meal prepared and served by people who care.

We discovered Kin Dee in 2018 and we go in person or get a takeaway once a month, its an absolute staple. The staff are so lovely and helpful, they all worked throughout lockdown and always go the extra mile, I have a dairy allergy and all teh staff know exactly what goes into the food which makes me enjoy it so much more. The food is another level! I highly recommend the Massamun Curry and the Panang Curry. Lots of options if you want meat, fish, Tofu, they do it all! They do cater for large groups BUT they do require you choose yuor food in advance so its ready when you arrive, deposit is required.

We came here for lunch as we love Thai food so much and we were not disappointed. To be honest, it was beyond our expectation. We ordered 4 different dishes and we really enjoyed all of them especially the whole seabass. Absolutely fresh, hot and full of flavor. Good portions with reasonably priced. All staff were incredibly polite, friendly and attentive. Best Thai restaurant in the area. We'll definitely return. Highly recommended.

Had the mixed platter for starters which were good but some too oily. Also found a hair in one of them but couldn't be asked to make a scene! Had the egg noodles with chicken for mains and that was actually tasty but again too oily. Also ordered the seabass but taste was quite bland and it tasted way too fishy (how is that even possible for a fish?!) If you're super hungry pop in!

This was our first visit to Kin Dee since it changed hands a few years ago. We have used them for take-away once before. Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was the distinct lack of Thai staff. All but one were very young, dare I say it, weekend looking staff! Call me old fashioned but I kind of expect Thai staff in a Thai restaurant, Chinese staff in a Chinese restaurant and so forth. The restaurant was at this stage about one third full and the waiter pointed to the table right by the front door. We asked for a different table and after checking with his mum I presume, he agreed. We were very quickly given menus but not so quickly offered drinks. In fact after around 10 minutes of waiting I eventually had to ask for someone to take our drinks order. The staff were not busy during this time, just chatting among themselves. As for the food, we ordered a selection of 4 starters, 3 main course and some rice. We were 2 adults and a young teenager. The starters were all pretty good. We had Tempura prawn, Chicken satay, Duck spring rolls and sesame toast. Once finished, the mains came out far too quickly for us. In fact only about 2 or 3 minutes passed between courses. I had deep fried roast duck with tamarind sauce. It was ok but a little overcooked. My wife's Massaman curry was good but our son's duck noodles were burnt. Unfortunately our son didn't mention this as he's a little shy. He sat there and ate over three quarters of it and only when I asked how it tasted, he replied its ok but tastes a bit funny. I then tasted it and realised the noodles were burnt.Overall the staff were polite and friendly. The restaurant has no real ambiance, in fact feels a tad sterile. I guess having predominantly English staff adds to that. The food was too rushed and when the bill arrived it had a service charge added. The whole point of going to a restaurant is to be served. I should't have to pay extra for that privilege. If I'm happy I'll leave a good tip!

Oh the food is gorgeous loads of lovely flavours, I go for the mild massamum curry but my partner goes for the hot jungle curry which he says is really hot but he still loves it and goes for it all the time. Generous portions and not a bad price, although the beer significantly adds to the cost. The staff are always very chatty, friendly and helpfulMy only downside to this place is the noise, the restaurant is not that big and every time we have been in there (various nights) there has been a large group that have been extremely loud, I know its difficult but the staff should notice this and politely ask them to lower it (not trying to be the fun police but sometimes its so unbearable). But overall a really great place and I would recommend it

The food was very nice, the staff all very polite and friendly, though not their fault at all as all young, clearly just not trained very well - did not seem to realise if a mistake was made, or think to come and ask if you wanted more drinks, we also ordered coffee at the end of the meal, one came within 5 mins luke warm, the other at least 12 mins later piping hot, there was just no consistency. As said the staff were all polite and friendly, just need to be trained in service and this place would be more memorable. The food was good value for money.

The food is pleasant and very delicious! Came by with the family for the first time and we will definitely be returning. The portions can be a little bigger for its price. The jasmine rice portion definitely needs to be bigger as it’s very small. Please consider having seafood soup options as this is definitely a popular Thai dish which wasn’t on the list. Me and my husband are regular visitors for lunch at Kin Dee and so no doubt did we recognise that food was slower than normal. The waitress explained that they were only dealing with one chef so we just reassured her to take her time and that she was doing a great job. There was only two waitresses, one with brown hair who is always lovely and we see often. The other waitress we didn’t recognise so she must of been new but she was also helpful. I have to say, some of the abuse them two girls went through during that lunch shift was DISGUSTING. It got too out of hand a lady picking up a takeaway had to confront a table for being so bloody rude! I understand mistakes happen and the food service was slow but there is no need to be so rude to the young waitresses. The poor girls were rushed off their feet and still managed to provide friendly service after being humiliated. Clearly, the problem was in the kitchen and not on the restaurant floor. Some people need to realise this! Personally, the manager needs to find a backup plan for when one chef is sick or away. The food was delicious but too slow. The waitresses were clearly working hard and its a shame that they get the blame for the kitchen service.

Arrived here Saturday 17th November with elderly parents nearly 90 they were bring my brother and I out with his wife for his birhday. Table booked was near the radiator in the corner, this was taken so had to have centre table, parents cold as outer door was forever being left open. Sat down at 1pm orders drinks and then water. Had to ask again for water they went took a half filled jug of the counter and filled it up, it had not being covered previously, asked for ice, they 5hen got us glasses with ice in them. Took our order then waited 40 minutes for starters to arrive 4 out of 5 arrive th3 5th person had to wait longer. Then to the main meal one arrived and 10 minutes later still awaiting others , had to mention this. My mother was then served the chicken mussuman and was told it was the vegetarian one. After realising thus we complained and we were still one short for my brother who’s birthday it was, we then asked where his corr3ct meal was and they had not even started prapa4ing it, he then said he wanted nothing as too late now. Mothers wrong meal had been left on the table which looks lik3 the6 expected him to eat it ebpven thought she had already started it. We then called the manager wgpho offered 30% off the bill we asked for 40% which they did, onl6 realised later they had charged for the meal that we had never had. Do not eat here, I eat in restaurants all over the uk and this is the worst service and customer service that I have experienced in many many years. They said short of staff in the kitchen, no excuse in my mind, they also need to employ more efficient front of house waiting staff that know what they are doing and have smiles on their faces and know how to deal with customers . Will not eat here again .

Food wasn't bad, but not at all hot, so I asked for prik nam pla (chili in fish sauce). When I received the bill they had charged £1 - I've never ever been charged for this sauce in a Thai restaurant before and I go regularly. If I'd asked for the dishes to be hotter then they wouldn't have charged, so very unreasonable to charge for a tiny dish of sauce! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Kin Dee. I'm not sure its quite as authentic as it could be. It's certainy not Thai home cooking and to me was a bit like the food you might expect at a tourist restaurant (with slightly watered down Thai flavours) rather than at a streetfood stall. It was still good, it just lacked some of the vibrancy on spicyness that I want in my Thai food. I supppose you could ask for it to be made a bit more spicy if you want it that way.

The staff on all occasions are so nice and polite ( apart from tonight ). THIS IS REALLY A TAKE AWAY so forget wanting to have a nice sit down meal, their ultimate game is to get as much income into the business with “ walk aways “ and let their sit down crowd like us, who they know they have already captured, just let them wait until they have dealt with anything more pressing.

I visited Kin Dee last night as a part of a big table, in all fairness they were rushed off their feet and seemed understaffed considering the restaurant was packed with people. One of the waitresses, (short with dark frizzy hair) my god I have never ever seen somebody so unprofessional and so rude. She was clueless, mouthing back to customers, standing at the bar twiddling her hair whilst it was obvious tables needed to be cleaned, people wanted food orders taken, or even just checking the people eating we're happy with their food; and let's not get started on the horrible looks she was throwing at any customer who looked at her.Customers including myself had to go up to the bar just to get some attention to get our orders taken. Food was lovely as usual. Full of taste! Just some advice I think more staff is definitely needed and as for the staff that already work there some of them were lovely and smiling especially the tall blonde haired boy but the short, dark haired waitress needs to either be taught how to be a polite individual or to leave the job, it's off putting that almost everybody on our table complained about how bad her personality was.

I have been coming here regularly for several years with no complaints but last night was abysmal. Friday night arrived at 7pm and hadn't booked a table. Got seated but told we had 90 minutes until we had to vacate which wasn't a problem for us. It took 20 mins to take our order and after a long wait our starters finally arrived. After an hour, they tried to move us to another table despite there being others available. No explanation was offered for why we had to move. At the 90 min mark, we still hadn't received our main courses. No communication from staff. We eventually gave up waiting and explained we would be leaving and would pay for what we had eaten. No offer of a discount from the bill was given which would have been nice in the circumstances. Not enough staff and the kitchen is clearly not coping with diners and take away orders. The food is gorgeous but will never return after last nights experience.

Popped in today for lunch special which is advertised in the window at a bargain price of £ 5.95 with a choice of 6 dishes plus a soft drink. We hadn’t been there for many years after it changed hands quite few times, I guess. Anyway, we ordered 2 Prawn Pad Thai which arrived within a reasonable time. From the smell, I could detect it was different from other Pad Thai I have had previously and it almost smell tomatoy! Infact although my wife seemed to disagree, the sauce that the noodles were tossed in tasted like tomato ketchup and also had a gluier texture then normal. The Prawns although moist, had no flavour whatsoever while the sliced red chilli appearing in the dish had no heat at all. When the bill arrived it should have been £ 11.95 rather than £ 15.90 and it wasn’t very clear why it was so. Even if they had added the service (which wasn’t mentioned in the offer) it would have still been too much. I asked for clarification and the waiter said that the Pad Thai cost more as we had opted for the Prawn one. We replied that if so they should not have put a picture of the Prawn Pad Thai displayed in the window with the price of £ 5.95 below it as it is misleading. I don’t want to sound mean and even at a couple of extra pound per dish would have still been a bargain but the point is that they should not have misled us in the first place.

Not normally ones for dessert, our wonderful waitress Charlotte, recommended the banana, deep fried (but wonderfully light and crispy ) in coconut and served with coconut ice cream -such a refreshing change from the usual heavy deep fried banana. What a disappointment. Cold bland food, which we waited a long time for. I don't usually mind waiting for decent good quality food. This was not! The waiter (male) wasn't particularly bothered and quite rude not vey professional. My mums 80's birthday... such a shame. Will not be returning. Much better restaurants in the area.

Good selection on lunchtime special menu. Used this twice recently and selected different dishes each time and all were good and well presented. They include good bottled water or a soft drink in the price. Quick efficient service.

We had a good time on the New Years Eve enjoying great food. For starters we had Duck spring roll and Spare ribs, the portion size was good. For main we had the Duck and Chicken and we would recommend the Duck in this amazing sweet/sour sauce...yum! We were stuffed and didn't order any desserts.

Three of us came here for Saturday lunch and we went away happy. The food is Thai style and adapted for British taste. But the food was still full of flavour and definitely not bland. For starters we had Fish Cakes which was tasty (have had better and bigger); Dim Sum which had a lovely aroma and texture (less dense than its Cantonese cousins); Yum Woosen which was nice and tangy with lots of chillis; and Calamari which were delicious! For main courses, we ordered the special Ka Yang (chicken) which tasted very nice with the tamarind sauce. But I didn't like the texture of the chicken breast - a bit too smooth as if it had been treated. It reminded me of the frozen sort which you can cook without defrosting. We also had Som Tam - the famous papaya salad. It was all right, not the nicest I've had. I think the dressing let it down - it needed something to lift it. The Pad Thai was nice - not as sweet as some versions but still had a good flavour. We only had room for one dessert - Pandan Pancake with ice cream. I tasted a bit but wasn't keen on the flavour. But my sister loved it.We thought the service very good and all in all, it was pretty good value, too. They also do a set lunch for £5.99 which is outstanding value.

Since our last visit the food standards have been well maintained..that's a plus point!HOWEVER the service certainly needs big improvement . A waiter came ...took our order, repeated it ...and a long wait after that!( similar experiences by other diners) ....for the drinks to come! BUT the malign of it all...was being served CHang beer instead of CHinese tea ....and when we queried we were told we ordered that!!! For a start we aren't beer drinkers mainly preferring the wholesomeness of refreshing green tea....and after a short debate about who was right, who was misheard, ....the waiter went off and brought our CHinese tea eventually!! ( another wait) . The Management needs to employ more staff ...one who can hear clearly ...without getting confused with the Thai lingo!

A friend took me here for lunch, I think probably to give herself a legitimate opportunity to visit again - I gather she's become a regular in recent weeks! The lunch menu is a real bargain and my Pad Thai was first class. Service was probably on the slow side if you are expecting 'express lunchtime service' but on the other hand the food couldn't have been fresher - it was clear nothing had been sitting around on hotplates. Staff were friendly and relaxed.Highly recommended.

Lovely Thai food especially the fish cooked in tomato sauce. The fish was fresh and crispy and delicious. The Tom yum soup was a bit on the spicy side ...so be sure to ask to make it less spicy.Ingredients used here are fresh and you can taste them at the tip of your tongue. There is special set lunch menu with a free soft drink .But the dinner is the best .

Having been to Kin Dee on a regular basis , I was baffled and concerned by a couple of recent reviews, I haven't been for a while so as curiosity got the better of me I took my wife last night. My visit was as I had expected it to be however the starter was better than I ever remember. I choose the Thai calamari and it was so good, crispy tasty and perfectly presented. Timings between courses was perfect and staff were extremely attentive and friendly, each table receiving a great level of service. We also had a table near the counter and the level of friendliness whilst taking takeaway orders was refreshing and surprising as often takeaway orders are usually met with impatience, so something I haven't seen before. Main was again great, wonderful fresh flavours, piping hot, tender meat and sufficiently portioned on the side of generous. No room for desert unfortunately however this is not a rarity on my part as I don't really eat deserts. If I had one thing I could mention it would be to mention the specials as I only saw the card when I had my main course. These specials were inspired by the owners recent trip home to Thailand (he told me) so any question of authenticity is completely ridiculous. So on reflection and with great relief I had another super meal and couldn't fault it, I can only assume the couple of recent comments were from people that had a beef for some reason as the comments were thoroughly unfounded in my opinion.Dine with confidence and enjoy

I popped in with my wife on a Monday evening. The place was quiet (as most are on a Monday) and clean. Service was brilliant and food was tasty. Dishes were fresh and we didnt feel rushed like you do at some quiet establishments. Will definately return again for another sit down mean and would contemplate using for takeaway too.

Very disappointed with our meal here. The hot and spicy soup tasted overpoweringly of fish, despite supposedly being mushroom. The jungle curry was watery and bland with no kick whatsoever. The spicy noodles not spicy and just a glupy lump.Gutted and certainly wouldn't recommend.

So disappointed with the food. The plater to share was greasy and chewy. Both of our mains had no flavour, very bland. Also the restaurant got very cold, as if tgey had switched the heating off. I had to sit with my coat on and the staff come out wearing body warmers and jumpers.

This establishment would suit a classy dinner date or business lunch. The dishes are authentic and exquisitely presented. The service was excellent, friendly and very helpful with regard to the Thai dish titles. The final bill is pricey if you don't stay on the set menu, but worth it for a treat.

We had a very enjoyable meal at Kin Dee on Friday evening. The food was very good. I love the Massaman Curry. The restaurant was full which creates a good atmosphere. Plus the very friendly and helpful staff (Charlotte & Rory) help to make this a very pleasant experience. Will be back and recommend to others.

This busy restaurant was recommended to me and it well and truly lived up to expectations. The food was delicious, particularly the moo yang that I had. The waiters were attentive. The only negative was the longer than average wait for the main meal to arrive.

I often come here with a big group of girls and we come to eat snd drink and be merry - the atmosphere can be quite oppressive and quiet so you can feel a bit raucous even when not - some of the menu is well executed - and nearly authentic but a lot of it is tasteless and very lacklustre. Saying that the mango / papaya salad - som gum I had once was amazing but this was a one off - I've been very disappointed with the curries which are always very weak and full of bulky veg rather than meat and it's not particularly cheap either.

Thai is one of my absolute favourite cuisines and this little restaurant is a gem! My partner brought me here once and since then it's become one of my favourite restaurants.I'm a big fan of soup in general and their Thai tom yum soup is a big favourite of mine. The food in general has lovely flavours and the menu has a nice variety for vegetarians too. Big plus point for me! The staff are friendly and attentive and its not overly priced! It's great value for money. We're not exactly local but still love coming here. I would definitely recommend :)

We've tried a few places, but this is hands down the best Thai in the area. It's an absolutely delicious treat for a Friday night. It's a little on the expensive side, yes, but the quality makes it worth it for sure. The pork skewers and duck spring rolls in particular are amazing. We've also eaten in the restaurant which, was a different way to experience the great food. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and service.
