Kim's Bulgogi in Forest Heath

Unfortunately this place has gone down hill. This used to be my favourite place to go. The last few times I’ve gone in the kitchen staff fooling around out the back, poor service and barely warm food. This time (my last time) I ordered and paid for a large combo and when I get home I have been given a regular!

Fresh and great tasting food portions are more than enough. Lovely customer service and overall lovely experience. We tried several different dishes and no disappointment with any of them !

The sweet chilli chicken is a winner ! Always hit the spot and price is fair for the amount you get. Always treat myself to this on a Saturday. Only downside is sometimes it’s sold out by about 6.30pm so get in theee early as you can

Great for a quick ‘cant be arsed to cook meal’ but it can be a bit hit and miss with the waiting times and standard of the food! Seems to be very popular with our American Service Personnel neighbours off the base so can’t be too bad!

Dont bother calling past 5 to place an order. I have tried calling past 5 on multiple days and goes straight to busy. I swear they turn their phone off or something on purpose. I give them a break though and it is probably because they are busy, I think to myself. So I decide to drive in and order in person. I get there and there 4 other people waiting. The employees are not busy at all and not rushing like if they have multiple orders. Like I said before, ive tried calling past 5 multiple times and decide to see what happens when i call while im in the store. To my surprise, the phone call goes straight to user busy and their phone doesnt ring once. Also the past year, they chicken is so soggy and slimy. It called crispy chilli chicken, but in reality it is soggy chilli chicken.

Really wanted to enjoy the food as we had been recommended it and so drove the 16 miles. The food was luke warm on collection and I think that’s because they keep in on a shelf and the food is open in bowls on the counter. We were on time so the food shouldn’t have been sat on the shelf long. We ordered the chilli chicken with rice having been told it was the best thing on the menu… The rice was sticky and mushy and the chicken was hard and chewy and not saucy at all. It looks nothing like the images. We also bumped into friends there who had also made the journey and asked their experience who said the same. Portions also pretty small in our opinion. It sounds like the food has changed from the reviews but sadly we won’t be making the trip again.

I love the food however there customer service is straight up terrible! If the managers focused on improving their customer service they would have even more business.

Love the chilli chicken, This is a little bit different takeaway, nice and healthy or at least that’s the way it feels. Tasty meals sticky rice and fab kimchi.

Thought he good is great, the cuss timer service is severely lacking. Just had the worst customer service experience in years at this establishment. The woman who answered to take my takeaway order was incredibly rude. Probably won’t be visiting again.

What the heck happened to this place - used to be 4 star. Placed a phone order and the young person taking the order couldn’t be any less attentive or rude - no pleasantries/ thank you. Understood a bit better when picking up order - three young people arguing about who was going to serve me - again, no pleasantries/ thank you The food has become average Guess the owners figured out the cash cow keeps on giving whether they or adult supervision is present Shame

The food was nice however, it was quite cold and I was expecting more. The service wasn’t very good, the person seemed very moody and saw her sling my rice box, which fell over and just picked it back up like nothing happened.

Food is always great and very reasonable priced! Lovely staff! Lovely for nights you don’t want to cook and don’t want to wait in crazy queues for food!

Spicy grilled pork and cripsy chicken are amazing. Many fantastic authentic korean sides as well. Beef is not good enough though.

The owner is so sweet and funny! We LOVE going here on the weekends to get our fix! We have never been disappointed and every single thing is so fresh and delicious!

I love the Crispy Chicken and order it regularly. The baked goods area also very nice. So much happier with the new staff which has worked there over the last six months always pleasant and friendly even though there are quite busy.

When have they put potatoes and zucchini in the kimchi’s soup? I know I haven’t been to Kim’s a while but today I asked my husband to picked up my favourite kimchi’s soup from Kim’s and it’s like the whole recipe has changed. Basically what I got is a potatoes,zucchini,onions and bits of veg and tofu but no kimchi. Very disappointed indeed.

I love this place, everything I have ever ordered is delicious! I love the shrimp dumplings. The kimchee is also very good. The staff is always friendly and the service is quick too.

We tried this place yesterday for the first time and were soo not disappointed. Hubs had the chili chicken and I had the teriyaki chicken - both were delicious and fresh (though his was better, I now can't wait to go back and get a chili chicken for myself). We did a takeaway although there's some seating if you ate inside. Prices were reasonable. Staff friendly. We'll be back.

My husband and I have been coming here since October of 2016. We always order the Crispy Chili Chicken. It has always been hot, crispy, and very flavourful. Today and last months visits were a huge letdown. The orders we had in April were soggy, bland also and we thought it was just a fluke. This morning our orders were soggy, bland, and not even a hint of spice or the beloved crispness. Did the chefs quit?? The food has gone downhill fast and doesn’t seem to be improving. Keep cooking like this and unfortunately everyone will figure out they can make something better and cheaper at home. Maybe some on the job training for the chefs. They have lost their touch. :-(SO DISAPPOINTED

Simple but tasty and really cheap, great option for lunch or a takeaway. I like the chilli chicken and the prawn dumplings- would be nice to have more vegetable options but I realise this is just down to Korean menus generally not this one venue. I recommend!

Kim’s bulgogi is amazing and very good. There is not a lot of room to have a sit down meal but the food is definitely worth it. The staff is extremely friendly and easy to work with. Apple Pay is accepted.

Would recommend a visit to Kims bulgogi. The chicken wings are great and really well priced. The restaurant is clean and tidy if your sitting in. Takeaway option is equally as good with the food wrapped to keep it warm.

Totally out of my Area, being based in Surrey, came highly recommended from the nearby RAF base and was really and truly worth it the food was really really good, portion sizes just right and the vegetarian Sushi was delicious wish we had bought more. Would definitely go again if I was in the area and would highly recommend. ❤

Chances are you’ve been to Korea and miss the food. While I find the prices high, I still eat it two or three times a month. Hits the spot every time.

Good vegetarian dish only wish there was more bean sprouts a little less rice and another egg but that’s just me being fussy. Highly recommend. Wide choice for meat eaters.

I've eaten here two other times before and enjoyed the food. One of my previous meals was before the upgrades, and the store looks amazing and more inviting, but during my visit it was greatly lacking.

Good food, fast service, and large portions for the price - a medium is plenty, even if you're really hungry! The kimchi is really tasty too!

Good Korean food for the UK. Obviously you can get better in the states and even in Korea, but for what it is and where its at, its quite good.

I've had Kim's several times now and I must say it's the damn best Korean food around ... in the UK. When ordering a HUGE order for a group of people, I tend to get my meal just right. However, when I go there by myself and order ... its like a different experience. You wonder if they will get your order right, workers are moving things around to make it look like they are actually working, and the teenaged male that works behind the counter won't get off his damn iPhone. The last time I was at Kim's ordering, the Korean lady work seemed to be new, but the teenager was on his phone and not helping. She kept on asking for his help ... he would come over ... assist ... then right back to his iPhone. Anyways, long story short GREAT FOOD if it come out on time and the order is right...

First off, if you are looking for a great place to eat when you don’t feel like cooking, I recommend this place for sure!

Last minute decision to try Korean food. It was a well made decision. The Crispy Chili Chicken was very tasty and we will definitely be back to try there other dishes.

The Food is very good but too overpriced. I believe that the portion size have gotten smaller. Also, it seems as if the food is made real time which might be why they limit portions. Gyoza is extremely over priced.

We have literally just downed chopsticks after finishing a delicious takeaway from Kim's. We live very close by but rarely get takeaway. All the children are returning to school tomorrow after a summer break and chose this as their back to school treat.

Husband and I called in an order to pick up. Arrived at the agreed upon time but our food wasn't ready. It was very busy and the staff hurried to put our order together. One side and two mains. Unfortunately, by the time they got around to filling our pork order, they were down to scraps. They scooped out every last bit, put it on a carton and gave it to us. I asked the guy "is that a regular size portion or did you just give us what was left?" So he showed me the container as if I could tell what it's supposed to look like... but since I don't and I knew it would be a while if we had to wait for more meat to come out, I just went with it. Assuming he guy wasn't Intentionally ripping me off.

Always good. You can't order wrong here, everything is tasty and fresh. Chicken or steak, it's all good.

Realmente disfruté el bibimbap cerdo picante y kimchi. Las dos eran de sabor. El pollo picante bibimbap y alas de pollo con salsa de soja eran sosas y las alas de pollo chilli dulce estaban bien.

Me recuerda a la comida coreana. Bibimbap. Muy sabroso especialmente No hay lugar para comer dentro, pero la comida es servida para llevar sin esperar largo tiempo.

Me apecete y bibimbap kimchi, así que convencido de mi marido para darle una oportunidad a este sitio. Me pareció que la comida era de buena calidad por el precio. Pedimos bibimbap (que venía con arroz) y el pollo picante bibimbap, junto con kimchi, albóndigas y un par de copas. Pasamos el mismo que hubiéramos ordenar chino y tenía comida. Mi mayor queja. . . El arroz estaba demasiado cocido hasta el punto de ser blanda. Con arroz siendo una fija, estoy decepcionado. Pedimos temprano en la noche (5), así que sólo puedo imaginar que quienes vengan después, sin feria peor. Si no nos íbamos, yo le daría otra oportunidad ya que la carne era tan buena.

Living in Asia for three years makes you miss great cuisine. Let me tell you Kims is ON POINT!! The bulgogi is exactly how I remember it in Korea. They even have a lot of the speciality drinks and fresh kimchi on hand. Staff are fast and food is always fresh.

We have been buying Korean food for little while and this place is really convenient near our house and husband worked. We have try every plate on the menu( never disappoint it)

Called in at lunchtime to try their food. It was average quality but served quickly as it was all in warming dishes. Not a huge range to choose from. Might try again if passing but not worth a special journey. Shame as I was looking forward to some Korean food.

I've lived in Korea for over 6 years and I sorely kiss the delicious food! This place was close to my work so I finally tried with my husband. The staff were Koreans and were very friendly. Decent size menu, great price for the food and portions! A small portion fills me up well and I'm a big eater! The large is a bit too big for me. Dumplings are good and crispy and bulgogi is authentic! I always get the spicy pork bulgogi! Choose soy sauce or the sweet chili sauce, either way it's delicious!

If you're having dinner, consider calling in ahead of time. Once they run out of japchae (glass noodles) for the night, rice is your only option. Love the chili chicken. Crunchy and spicy! We get teriyaki for the kids and they don't leave a single noodle!

Went here for lunch and having already looked at the website, had presumed that it had some sit-down tables where I could grab a quick lunch. It is however take-away only, and quite a pricy take-away at that. The prices on the website are for less that what they actually charge (by~£1 per portion), so what I had thought would be a cheapish sit-down meal, turned into a relatively more expensive meal I had to eat in my car.I had the beef bulgogi, which was served on a bed of quite nice rice, with a bit of salad on top, which was basically coleslaw and chopped iceburg. The beef was tasty and overall it sort of reminded me of a very good kebab on rice, especially with a load of chilli sauce on top (which took away from the more sweet soy flavour of the beef).The website is misleading as it also talks of reservations, and has a stone bibimbab bowl on it, I was going to have the bibimbab, but don't really see the point of bibimbab as a takeaway, if it isn't served in a hot stone bowl then the rice on the bottom won't formed a tasty crust and you can't cook your raw egg on it! Another chap in there at the same time did order it and it looked to be in a plastic bowl, with a fried egg on top, quite tasty no doubt, but it sort of misses the point of "proper" bibimbab.3*s is maybe a little stingy given the food was tasty, but it was overpriced, the service was brusque and I was a bit annoyed at being asked to (optionally) pay an additional 10p for a portion of soy or chilli on top of the (already overpriced) takeaway. Half the enjoyment of Korean imo is the extras you can add to it (and I'd already paid another £1 for a tiny portion of kimchi). I think the American term is "nickel and dimed".So if you're local and fancy a different takeaway for an evening meal, or just fancy something a bit different then give it a go, but I don't think I'll go out of my way again to go for my lunch there.

We really like this for a take away. First time we tried it, we thought 'well that wont fill us up' how wrong we were. Recommemdation try the beef!

We decided to go here after coming out of RAF Lakenheath, food is delish, but overpriced for a take-away, the meals are touted as healthy, and I would say they are definitely healthier and tastier than a Chinese take-away, but you don't get masses for your money, menu is a little limited, but that might be a good thing!!

The menu is small but the food is delicious. It is strictly take away. At lunch only they offer a fish roll that is tasty. I have eaten the japchae, bulgogi, and bibimbob; all come with your choice of meat. I have eaten the beef, teriyaki chicken and the spicy chicken, which was very hot. They also offer pork. They take payment with credit card or £'s. Prices range from about £6 to £8 and the portions are generous.the menu and prices are the same for lunch and dinner.

The food is good, nice selection of drinks. It's kind of pricey for take-out though. And there is a minimum amount for transactions on cards- and it's slightly higher than the cost of one meal. Need to buy a drink to make the minimum.

Their food is the best Korean food that the UK has to offer and I have been to many London restaurants. Been there over a dozen times and have never been disappointed. Oh, and by the way, I am of Korean descent. So I have grown up eating Korean food. Their Japchae is legit and all their grilled meats are yummy. Their Kimbob is fresh and authentic and so good and their mandoo (dumplings) are da bomb!!

Quick and easy and pretty good too! Haven't had a bad visit yet. We usually get the chicken bulgogi but now I like the pork better. Great gyozas too

Fresh made items and very tasty. Place does get very busy, so expect a wait, but it's well worth it. Very reasonable prices and always very friendly!

I have had everything here, the bibimbap, the bulgogi, the fire chicken, the japchae (spelling?), and even the sushi. This is my favorite restaurant, and not only because it's walking distance from my house! I find that the service is actually awesome, they are very friendly. The food is amazing and made fresh, so if you have a bit of a wait just remember it is being made fresh. I'm about to eat there for the 3rd time this week. Oh, try the chili chicken if you go! It's seriously amazing.

Employees looked like chickens with heads cut off running around behind the counter trying to get all the orders prepared. I ordered by phone, was told to pick up in fifteen minutes, got there in thirty minutes, order had not even been started yet. When I got my food home, order was not even right, even though it was recited to me from receipt when I paid on location. Vegetarian sushi was rice with an egg on it and one of my chicken with rice orders had noodle. If only they could get their system of completing orders perfected this place would be great!! However, this is my second visit like this, I will not be back.

Stop telling people your lies. 1. Their Kimchee is fresh and believe me I know Kimchee. 2. You can order your food as spicy as you want. 3. Who the heck are you spreading this non-sense?

I have tried twice. The first the food was not tasty and the kimchi old and lacking flavor. The service was blah. Tried again and very rude staff refused to let me order a spicy dish as I think they were busy and didn't want to cook it. The lady just kept say too spice for you. I ended up leaving as she refused to let me order what I wanted. I also did not appreciate being told what I am allowed to eat.

Every time I eat here I am impressed. Well worth the money and the quality is amazing. Great healthy option in a sea of Fried food eateries.

It is hard to imagine to have a chance to taste spicy & healthy Korean food in brandon, UK. The small take-out shop would be beyond your expectation of tasty food as it is like real food in Korea. I particularly like spicy chicken wing and Kimchi ^^.

Entered the shop. the aroma of the cooking food made me smile.I was hungry. The staff smiled back as they explained the menu, my order was taken, served quickly. Food delicious! Simply put, I couldn't find fault. Korean food cooked and served in a remarkable establishment to an exceptional standard.

My office writes down orders days in advance. That alone should tell you how good the food is. At opening lunch time (1100-1400) the line is out the door and the phone line is busy. They cook vast amounts of food to offset the amount of people that place orders vs come in. Chili chicken is the truth!

First time eating korean food i didn't know what to expect! The smell of the food made my mouth water. My taste buds where shocked with the sweet and spicy taste!! You have to try this place! Dont be afraid of the kimchi because it's delicious.

I have eaten at Kim's many times now, and have never been dissapointed. Once, they forgot to put one item in my box and made up for it with a ton of free food (that I did not ask for). Another time, they miscalculated my wait time for a call-in order and gave me extra meat and a free side dish, without my asking for anything. Keep in mind, I eat there frequently and the vast majority of the time they get the order 100% correct, and they calculate times correctly.

Only went to look at a car and the smell of the food pulled us in. Very tasty and I can recomend the number 12.Nice people, nice food
