We have used Kim Hing for years. Having the same food ..but last couple of time's beef n tomato has changed .....it's not as nice .....so have been having fish n chips ....will try beef n mushroom next time .... ...my son & I went 3rd August..... I had OAP Fish n chips ....lovely...my son had special fried rice he said it was bland & quite chewy .....he wont have it again.........Kim Hing changed hands sbout 4months ago..... Chinese food Not the same ..... Sorry. But will be trying The Pearl .......

Great food and customer service!

The sauces are smaller but price remains the same. The sauce is now watery not thick like it used to be. The rice is tasteless, which is a shame as we have been using kim hing for over 30 years. Seems prices have gone up, packaging slightly smaller and the flavours have disappeared. My nan wanted o.a.p. Fish & chips which is no longer available. No longer suitable for restricted means. But still friendly. Not keen on new menu its tasteless. But will give another try.

We've been ordering food from here for many years and always find it to be fantastic. Both the fish and chips and Chinese dishes are equally as delicious. Excellent family run business, quick service, large portions and reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Came in and ordered - then stood for over an hour waiting for food, if we had been told they had loads of phone orders would have gone elsewhere but once paid it was to late - food is ok but make sure you order in advance

Ordered from here based off the reviews, rating it as the best chinese in bedford and also claims that the food was consistently of a high standard. However for me the food was awful mainly the heavy use of MSG. The saltiness in the food led to me binning it as you couldn't eat it. Adding insult to my thirsty mouth- the lady behind the counter overcharged me by £2 for the privilege of this poor quality food.

Best Chinese take away ever, the food is very nice and fresh, I used to order chinese food online not knowing I had one just around the house. The staff is very nice and friendly Do not let the exterior look deceive u they are really good. Is really worth it to give it a try. I dont know your names but I really appreciate ur good services. The first time my husband had to go back again as the food was so lovely and even though they were closing they still made his food without complaining. Thank you again

Each to their own. So try it for your self . I didn’t like the egg fried rice but that doesn’t mean someone else won’t. Looking at some of the reviews about the place, they are positive. The big thing for me was the service I received from the woman. I’d say she was mature with short hair. Lol the way she looked at me whilst serving me, like I’m some peasant haha. I won’t write off the place as they might have other workers who are more welcoming.

Consistently great food, tastes delicious and is always cooked fresh. 5 star food hygiene rating. Family run business and not some quick cash grab business that you find on just eat. Highly recommend this place!

Sadly I didn’t not enjoy the food at all, or the confrontation from staff when requesting a refund. Normally I’m happy to let the odd dish slide if I didn’t like it, however multiple items tasted bland and where thoroughly unenjoyable. I was told to return to the store for a refund, where the staff argued with me over dishes. Sadly, where a simple refund and apology to a customer would have resolved the issue; turned into an argument over food quality. Judging by some of the confrontational replies to other guests who did not enjoy the food, I expect no improvement to this customer service. Would recommend to avoid.

Having only recently moved to the area I was on the hunt to find a new "chippy". Kim hing hits the spot. Food was great and very reasonable. Huge amount of chips! Bonus points as it's literally just around the corner from my house!!

My friend suggested I went to Kim Hing but to ring them with my order first as they get very busy So I rang them and the young lady interrupted my call saying she had to get fish out of the fryer I was left waiting on the phone for 20 minutes till I decided to go to the shop myself I had to wait a further 20 minutes here for food and when eventually I arrived home she had forgotten to put in the food bag one of my items I requested

My family have been regulars at this lovely family run Chinese/fish and chip shop for years. Always tasty and never any bad meals. Always happy to have a chat when they are not too busy.

Supreme! The most tastiest fish 🐠 + chips 🍟 that my partner & I have had in ages! Cooked beautifully to order with no fuss. Greasy chips? Not here. Flaky batter on the fish, every mouthfull savoured. Never before have a seen a portion devoured with passion. An absolute joy to watch the staff create lush food. I'll definitely be returning within the week for my next order! :D x

Food always very nice. And friendly staff.

From the outside it certainly doesn’t look anything special but this is a brilliant takeaway. The quality of food is superb at good prices for the large portion sizes. It’s clearly a family run business and everyone working was friendly and welcoming. There’s a small amount of seating available while you wait but also a number of shops right outside. There’s plenty of space in the nearby car park too. There’s no delivery offered but it’s totally worth the journey to visit and pick up. The prawn toast was a particular delight, although serving it in smaller slices might be good! Brilliant place and without a doubt the best Chinese takeaway in the town!

Placed an order with this place for delivery, the so called 'manager' didn't even tell me that they didn't do delivery. Sat and waited for my food for an 1 hour and a half. NEVER AGAIN! Avoid this takeaway. Unprofessional! Manager wasn't even apologetic, considering I told her I wanted my food delivered.

Yet another fantasticly fresh yummy house special fried rice. I moved away from Kempston nearly 20 years ago and the food is still top notch. I would highly recommend.

It's been going for years, this place! ...and the reason is the food they prepare is hot, first rate for flavour and quickly produced - all for a good price. The team behind the counter are friendly and helpful. The front of house is clean and well kept. Very happy to highly recommend Kim Hing 👍👍👍
