Khybar Tandoori in Northampton

I can only rate 3 stars as I could only find 3 pieces of chicken in the Jalfrezi, despite some serious hunting. Would have scored 5 if there had been more. Maybe I was being punished for not adding a tip through their online app. I usually tip for delivery, but didn't think it necessary for a collection.

I have now used kyber several times. I have a medical problem as my body won't tolerate high fat, and they always cook without oil for me. The first time a curry house has listened to me. It is wonderful not to be ill after a curry. I can't recommend them enough, their food and service is always superb. Well done kyber.

Fantastic Indian takeaway! Highly recommend the chicken Tawa, full of flavour and really fresh.

Finally, a decent Indian takeaway in the area! The menu had lots of options not normally seen in other nearby Indians. Chicken was of good quality, curries were amazing, even the chutneys were exceptional. Definitely the best around here.

Hands down the best take away, you go above and beyond every time. Food is fantastic, service second to none and portions are spot on. Consistency is key, something theses guys have nailed. Keep up the good work

Best curry in Northampton by a mile

Got a meal delivered last night (Bang on time....and free!!) It almost took me back to my youth in the 90's when the curry houses served up plentiful, good quality food at affordable prices. Very hard to find in 2024! Thanks.

Ordered a takeaway on New Years Eve after receiving a flyer through my letterbox. We ordered in the afternoon for delivery at 7. The food arrived bang on time, no hassle. We all thoroughly enjoyed our chosen food, very tasty, hot & well presented. Thankyou. Would highly recommend. I live in Horton so not easy to get an Indian delivered. Will definitely be using again.

I am very impressed with the service I got from this place. The person over the phone was very polite and patient, the delivery driver was exceptionally kind and very well mannered. Khybar Tandoori i can not recommend enough!! A couple of months ago i had a bad couple of meals from a couple of my old go to Indian restaurant’s around Northampton, i gave Khybar a try, and they have not disappointed We have ordered probably 5-6 times so far and the delivery is always prompt, staff always helpful and friendly, price very reasonable and the food is just amazing Their naan is great, curries amazing, poppadoms fresh, we’ve also tried a few different starters and all were prepared great and were extremely flavourful, overall it’s just a pleasure to have found this restaurant, also the food has always arrived piping hot. If you are looking to try a new place give them a go i would highly doubt you will be disappointed Cheers to all the staff for such a high quality product and your hard work 🙏

The best in town. Brilliant authentic food, timely delivery and fantastic honest people. There is a reason they have over 95% positive reviews.. it's because they are the best in town. Sadly not many come close to the quality of Khybar's food. I did note that they have had a 1* review recently from someone who has only ever given negative reviews, I'd argue this review says more about them than it does this establishment. I hope this doesn't put anyone off as they are hard working people who produce the great food.

There are simply too many Indian take away places in Northampton for this place to be AGGRESSIVE and RUDE to customers. The meal was HORRIBLE but I don’t want to get into that. What I do want to make the public aware of is how this place reacts to negative/critical comments on public platforms. The defence to a factual review was INSULTING my wife and calling her a LIAR which is something I will not tolerate and now this feedback is happening. We are all entitled to our opinions and sharing our experiences but to call somebody a name, saying they are lying for sharing their experience and telling them they should go and look at all the many positive reviews is unacceptable and EXCEPTIONALLY POOR in this day and age. So please be aware of the nature of the character you are dealing with here and proceed with caution. I also believe that they are generating FAKE REVIEWS to boost their ratings, but this cannot be proved obviously. Do go and look at every response to a negative review and you will see what I am talking about. SHOCKING ARROGANCE due to lack of knowledge of customer relations. Hope I’ve helped somebody dodge a bullet.

Excellent delivery (holiday inn express), the Harvester next door closed at 9pm so a quick search on JustEat. Mixed grill, free bombay potato, sag bhaji, rice and roti, will definitely be my 1st choice when in Northampton again.

I ordered vegetarian food, I asked for more spicy and they made perfectly as I was looking for. Food quality and quantity was up to the mark. I really enjoyed my Dinner.

First time ordering. After completing the usual relentless searches trawling through reviews for most of the local takeaways we settled on Khybar. Liked the website and the reviews looked more consistent than most. Ordering by phone was simple with great customer service, very polite and attentive (and turned out the same chap also made our delivery). Arrived within the hour and food was hot, tasty and plentiful with a few freebies; even our vegan daughter was well-fed and satisfied which doesn't happen very often! Will definitely be ordering again. My advice, don't delay...order today 😃, you won't be disappointed!

You absolutely get loads but let me tell you, you will eat everything. Bombay potatoes gorgeous, tikka Marsala loads of chicken and so tender. You will not be disappointed if you order from here!

Have lived in northampton for nearly a year, after a LOT of trying, finally found our Indian takeaway! Speedy delivery still piping hot when arrived. Very very tasty!

We have been trying to find a new Indian in the area for a while. We were recommended this place by a friend and we were blown away! Everything was so fresh and hot. The korma was so coconutty and the cheese and keema naan was great! I’m so happy to have found a 5* reasonably priced Indian. Staff are also uber friendly.

Myself and my partner tried this place last night as we live in the area. We did have a bad experience with the previous owner goan and did put us off from going again. After an incredibly fast handover and rebrand our local Indian takeaway reopened in Dec 2021. We've tried it out and thankfully the food is still delicious! The Sweet Chilli Chicken starter is particularly great.

Just in Northampton for the night, checked Google for Indian Restaurant near me, found Goan Indian, meat samosa well filled & seasoned, Lamb Biryani with medium hot sauce hit the spot, with Garlic Nan, will be back 👍

Had a lot of Indian food from the Goan and allways loved it just pick up the phone for great food and lovely friendly service master's of Indian cooking

Went in here last week to pick up a menu and oh my God it smelt devine in there my family live close by and say the food is lovely so can't wait to order from here for a meaL this month.

From my experience I just like to say what a fantastic meal we had from Goan. The food was first class and very tasty along with the authentic sauces and sides. Would highly recommend the Goan for a great traditional Indian. I for one will be coming back again and again. Great customer & delivery service. 👍👍

After moving into the area, we tried a few different places and by far Goan is the best indian! Friendly/knowledgeable service. Fresh ingredients, packed full of flavour and generous portions. Delivery charge of £6 to Roade. Feels a little steep as we keep receiving leaflets through our door. Really should note on menu how much it is. Its a shame as the food is really nice.

Do not order from here via Deliveroo if you actually want to eat. They took my money, delivered nothing. When I called to chase ETA of my order, they advised my order had not been received. They could not take take my order, could not resolve my issue and re-directed me to Deliveroo. So I toast is my last meal of 2020. And Never Will I EVER order from here again. Direct or not.

We have used Goan a few times for takeaways and the food was OK, but you have to check by phone which dishes are Vegan. We have been given discounts in the past when ordering meals for 3 people, so even the normal 10% collection discount for orders over £20 has made their prices competitive. Last night I only wanted a takeaway for myself, which came to £14.15. I asked for the NHS Bluelight 15% discount shown on their takeaway menu, but was told this was only for orders over £20. They do not state this minimum on their menu (see photo). I spoke to the Manager and he still refused to give the discount so I cancelled my order. Goan have obviously already forgotten what the NHS have done during this terrible Covid pandemic! Instead I ordered a takeaway from Baloo who were £1.20 cheaper for exactly the same meal, without any NHS discount, and if I had a boiled rice instead of mushroom rice Baloo would have been £1 95 cheaper as they give this free with their Curry's. My meal from Baloo was delicious, better than what I have ever had from Goan, and it was ready for collection in just 25 minutes! Goan need to correct the error on their next print of their takeaway menu, but regardless they have lost a Customer now to Baloo, where everyone gets the best price and more importantly better quality food. Update: Just read the response from Goan. How patronising! I don't want a free meal. Just the discount that is stated on your menu. Either give this, or as previously requested, correct the wording on the next print of your menu. Thank you.

I highly recommend this place for all those who appreciate an authentic indian curry teeming with flavour and great ingredients. above all the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure your meal is everything you ordered and more couldn't recommend more highly !!

Just made my second visit and had a chicken vindaloo. The sauce was just right with a great flavour,Also very hot. I really enjoyed it hence thinking of writing this. I've been eating Indian food in this town for over 30 years and will be coming back👍(even though I look loads younger......)

Absolutely stunning dishes, the best Indian by far for me.

Rip off.... 11.95 for king prawn curry that was small in portion about 5 prawns in it.... so greasy.... chips 2.50 really greasy as well. Skinny chips so more like fries. Went to complain a few days later and felt I was bit taken seriously as no refund or vouchers offered ... no apology just a thank you as I left.... it was my dad that visited not me and will not be back.
