Great food, can’t complain but not the greatest service. You need to call a few times to get through and they only make your food when you are actually in the store.

Food is always top tier. Known for its quality. Always busy so expect a queue but service is still good. One of the linchpins of ladypool road

Had a donner and chips from here. Food was good however service needs improving as staff are not welcoming. Staff member also kept repeating if I wanted chilli salad mayo like 3 times. Service needs Improving seriously however food is good.

Trying for first time I heard about everyone talking about this place but man was bare disappointed with it chips oily soggy lamb was alright but some pieces was nasty tasted half chewy I had to throw it all away proper disappointed waste of money aswel

I've been using this chippy since 2001, and it's never failed. The food is always tasty and yummy and fresh the staff are always happy. I moved away from the area years ago but still go back to this chippy.

After hearing loads of good things we traveled over 2 hours to Birmingham and went to khan's fish bar we ordered the lamb balti and chips with masala fish bites. On ordereding the staff was very rude when I tried to order the guy just saif wait abruptly so we stood around. Eventually they took our order and when asked about things they was rude with abrupt answers. The lamb balti and chips was nice the meat was nice and flavourful and soft not chewy. The sauce was like a spicy curry. Was a nice meal The masala fish bites were not masala at all and tasted stale and like rubber they ruined the whole meal.

Had the lamb curry and chicken curry started off tasting lovely but half way through u realise its very salty maybe should have small portion instead of large

Words cannot describe their signature dish...Lamb curry, chips half & half rice. You need to try it to understand. Ask for large & hot 🔥 If you are travelling back home, have them wrap it up in foil....up 1 hour travel and piping hot. Legendary Classic now 🙌🏾 👌🏾. #Alhamdulilah

Ordered small cod fish and chips. It was average, batter was soft. Prefer crispy batter. Fish was not flaky. Overall average experience.

my family and i have been going here for years and used to really enjoy it but my goodness has it gone downhill. i recently done a phone order and was told it would take 20 minutes, only to arrive after 20 minutes and be told that they havent even bothered making it because they were too busy. so we had to wait another 20 minutes in the shop. finally got it back and the order was wrong, the sauce was a stingy amount and the chips were the worst ive had in years. more than likely wont be returning, at least show remorse and offer some sort of compensation. instead, nothing at all

I brought lamb curry on chips today it wasn't the way they use to make for the price portion was less lamb was hard it wasn't nice at all chips and curry was dried.

They are providing very low quality service, I placed the order on line but it never arrived and they said it is on the way

Very overrated , really don't understand why it's so busy . Bought a large balti and wow, truly one of the worst places to eat on Ladypool Road, and there's lots of competition. Chips undercooked and some bits of lamb were tender whilst others were tough. Covered in some very generic sauce which is hard on the stomach, flavourless, bland , and a waste of money.

The balti meat and chips is really nice but the last few times I've come here I feel I've been made to wait and taste of the meat aint as good. I wonder why the brothers do this too me All customers should be treated equally

Good food always busy, the biggest let down is why ate Khan's selling drinks that support a genocide? All other restaurants have made an effort to find alternative drinks. Shame on you for selling drinks that supply israhell with bullets to massacre the falastine women and children. SHAME SHAME SHAME

Tried the famous lamb curry on chips and rice, and that's the large portion! Wow it was so tasty and filling, two could share, it's that massive! And served fresh and piping hot. Gets your mouth watering for more! Perfect lunch or late afternoon meal, fills you up for the whole day!

Lamb balti (medium) and chips £9, good place, clean and tidy, plenty of staff, good prices, hot fresh food, seems very popular locally, its not lamb balti fine dining but it's bloody good for a chippy ☆☆☆☆ Parking limited and frantic.

Food quantity has reduced quite a lot

I was recommended to try the fish and chips but ended up getting the chips and curry sauce. I went in around 11pm, service was fast only downfall was the staff didn’t really seem interested in the customers and my portion size for a medium i felt was very small, overall food was very lovely and fresh! Curry sauce one of the best i have ever tried, shop could do with updating. Would definitely go again.

The 3 laziest staff members I have ever seen, took more than 15mins for food that at other places would take less than 5 mins (shop was basically empty). food is mediocre at best

First time goin to khans after hearing about all the hype on youtube about the famous "lamb balti and chips". Tried It yesterday and i have got to say MashAllah the lamb curry and chips is fire it tastes amazing best one I have ever had.. defo coming here again. Got lamb curry with rice from here. The lamb is actually lamb it's mutton as it's not so tender. They have downsized their portions. And if you want to order rice it should be something other than boiled rice in my opinion. They need to up the game of the curry as it's way overrated

I heard a lot about Khans from my brother, he always talked about the dinner meat, fish a chips combination, one he always gets. Thought pop in and give it a try, will warn you that they are always busy and your going to be cramped up waiting. Knce the order was made took about 10-15 minutes to cone through as order two more meals with it which was a cheese burger meal and large dinner and chips. Once we bought it back didn't eat until half an hour later, thought it was really good but chips and chips got slighlty soggy by the time I bought back. However the fish did hold its own and the flavour throughout was really good. Only suggestion would be for this is toneat your food as soon as possible as been back here twice since and eat the food soonnas possible and have not been disappointed.

A fantastic local joint in Birmingham and very well known in Moseley, Balsall Heath, Sparkhill and Sparkbrook. Recently it has seen more food reviewers across the country trying out it's selection on the menu especially chicken curry and meat curry and chips. Both have tender pieces of meat with well spiced curry made to your spice tolerance. Definitely recommend if your in the area and on my recent trip I would say the younger generation needs to learn from the older boss uncle to be humble and not only deliver fantastic food but fantastic service.

It was my first time in Birmingham Saw a video on TikTok Definitely I went to Khan's Fish Bar next day We were two while the second one was not known to this shop I ordered chips and meat curry. Waiting time was a bit long. The food was so amazing 😊 and highly recommended ✅👍
