KFC Maghull - Old Meadow Road in Sefton

Ordered a large boneless bucket asked was everything there before driving off ! Gets home order wrong and missing the large pop corn chicken ! No mash ! Tried calling up teen times no answer phone rang off the hook ! Poor

Visited this place on Saturday evening 5th Oct 2024. Ordered as a walk in customer using the Touch Screen system. Paid at 7.40 pm, waited for or food (along with about 6 other Customers) until 8.20 pm but no sign whatsoever so requested a Refund and left. During this 40 Minute wait, numerous Delivery orders were prepared and dispatched, they clearly seem to be the priority. Drive through also moving very slowly. Bins inside overflowing and many Tables covered in Rubbish. Don't like to have a go at the Staff as there didn't seem to be enough of them but I have to say there seemed to be NO sense of urgency or Communication from them or between them. At least one other Customer also had their order Refunded and left during this time. Can't be good for business.

Best KFC around, whoever runs this place runs it perfect. Staff are always polite, friendly & food is always hot & fresh. Only bad thing is getting charged for certain sauces but hey it’s obviously company policy & the fact the staff enforce it tells me they care about their job.

Calling this outlet a “fast food” outlet is a joke, customer service is a joke, cleanliness is a joke!! Visited this outlet for a takeaway meal for my grandson and some extra chicken. Used the online kiosk in store to order meal. Firstly the outside area was a mess with used packaging, serviettes and half eaten food everywhere. Inside as you walked in was similar. Staff didn’t seem bothered. On ordering my meal I omitted to add barbecue sauce which I asked for when my meal arrived and was told it would be an extra 50p by the staff who’s attitude was disgraceful; as I had spent a good amount I asked for sauce free of charge but was refused. A male member of staff would not even give me the courtesy of looking at me to refuse my request; customer service needs to be addressed at this outlet. I have heard of similar waiting time experiences at this outlet and staff seem more concerned about servicing Drive-Throughs and courier collected orders rather than instore customers.

Hit and miss, more miss. No gravey! Several times, no gravey. How!! Ordering on touch screen or mobile app is unreliable due to poor stock/inventory updates. Sometimes items not available (combo/box meals, as gravey not shown available when it is), or no corn when they have it, or only small items not big sides, and also the opposite - ie order and get to counter to be told they don't have something you just ordered. It's crazy. Sometimes really slow service too. But no gravey, how can that be?

25 minutes at the drive through. There's only me in the queue! Took 8 minutes to put my order in. I thought there were loads in front, but no. Just me. Pathetic. No sides. What an absolute joke. Been at the serving window for 14 minutes now......16 minutes now......fast food? I think not. I hindsight I should have gone the shop and cooked my own. Finally it's ready after 24 minutes at the serving hatch.....and they got my order right!

Never have anything on the menu available. No original recipe chicken again. Save yourself the bother and drive to Kirkby or Aintree!

We came in to Maghull KFC at 6:44 and still waiting at 7:44. A couple came in from the drive thru waiting 40 minutes to be told there is no popcorn chicken left, A member of staff offered them chicken and give them the ends of the chicken. All staff are unprofessional and very slow. We will not be returning to this restaurant and advise you not to either.

Service was very very slow. I had to wait over 20 minutes for my order only to see my partially completed order knocked from it's tray onto the floor which seemed to be a source of humour for the person who did it and didn't realise that I had seen what had happened. I then did eventually receive my order with barely an acknowledgement to myself. Many people in the restaurant has waited extended periods of time for their order and one gentlemen I saw had to return to the restaurant from his home when an order had evidently been been completed incorrectly. This was at 7.15 in the evening which doesn't exactly seem to be the rush hour so the slowness of the whole operation seems difficult to explain.

Two of us got food poisoning from here last night , avoid like the plague

Truly the worst of all the KFCs in the land. That one in Litherland has held the title for many years. TBF most KFCs are car crash, so the bar is low to begin with. But this sets a new standard in low expectations. Everyone there is fuming, the staff fuming that they can't get an order right, or even just get an order at all within a 20 mins time frame. The customers are fuming because they're just standing round watching a comedy show, yet ultimately knowing they're paying decent money for a meal that's always going to be wrong. We all know they're not going to have half the items in stock "got no gravy left lad" says the delightful assistant with 100% brass to match her inflated lips. At least her fake tan matches the colour of the chicken. My advice is order the cheapest meal, and then do battle when that turns up wrong anyway. That's if it turns up at all. Oh, and swerve the drive through, their favourite line is the system has gone down so can you come in. But we all know it's because they have no staff and they're dealing with the angry hoards queuing inside. Maybe that's why there's so many parking spaces. Overall, a very angry place that you can feel in the air, with awful service and ample parking

Not sure how a brand new KFC can be so dirty ?? Toilets a disgrace and full of faeces , wife nearly sick before we had actually eaten anything after going to the women's toilet. Couldn't recommend this branch at all. Full of kids serving which didn't inspire us at all. Wife through meal in the bin after a few minutes.... We won't be back anytime soon.

For the second time I got 3 drumsticks in the Colonel meal after a long wait. Not going again.

Staff need customer service training, hide in the back knowing you are there wanting their attention. Don’t communicate with you to tell you things are out of stock and just replace with an item of their choice instead. Very loud music. Horrible atmosphere

The chicken always seems to be fresh and juicy in this place but thats when you can get. Several times now I have called after 9.30pm to find the drive through blocked by cones and when I walk to the drive through window I get told they have no chicken left despite the heated cabinet having plenty of chicken in it. One time while the guy at the window was saying no chicken left a girl was putting all the left over chicken from the cabinet in large chicken buckets like when you buy a 10 piece bucket. I should of said something but felt embarrassed and needed to find a chippy before they close at 10. Like I say several times now I have rushed for miles to get here as I fancied some kfc only to find the drive through closed off. Obviously because they want to get cleaned up and out the door by 10pm which is supposed to be the closing time but you should still be able to buy food or even just a Pepsi upto 9.59pm I was there at 9.35pm and another time at 9.40pm and both times said no chicken left. I should of said OK I'll have fries and a Pepsi max. I say two times but thats just recently as this has been going on for over a year now.

I come here on a regular basis upmost respect to the staff that have to deal with a bad franchise that's only concern is penny snatching eurogarages for anyone wondering that make a hard environment to work almost impossible to function here is why... understaffed 1 person doing the job of atleast 2, overwhelming amount of online orders so they can penny snatch, never a full menu always have order issues the minimum wait at drive thru is like 30min even if your the only car! Its not the staffs fault in the slightest the eg owners have ruined so many brands and they have the audacity to charge more per item... rats

I reviewed this KFC as it’s the lowest rated in my area. When entering KFC I realised how clean the restaurant was! That’s a star! ⭐️ I ordered a 3 piece boneless banquet meal and my food was ready in under 2 minutes, that’s a star! ⭐️ I did a toilet check and everything was clean, that’s a star! ⭐️ My meal was spot on and I even won on KFC Rewards! 5 Stars!🌟

Awful! Ordered nearly £50 worth food on just eat and received £20 worth. Went to the drive thru to get the rest of order and was told they ran out of those items and could not give us anything else as a form of refund.

Staff need to work harder to check that orders are right before sending customers away, instead of pretending to have a water fight with antibac at the drive thru window. Missing chips and gravy is not good enough when spending over £20 on food and driving for collection.

Visted this branch tonight as our local branch in Skelmersdale was closed. Went through drive thru. I ordered 10 piece family feast bucket and extra mini fillets. Got everything and drove back home to Skelmersdale. I was annoyed to find 10 chicken drumsticks in bucket, not one single chicken piece. The gravy was watered down aswell. If there was a problem or shortage of chicken pieces I would have waited and if they had told me it was 10 drumsticks I would have refused. Very annoyed and will not use this branch again. £26 for 10 drumsticks is just robbery. D Hartley

Avoid this KFC it’s absolutely awful, always get orders wrong missing items, just look at the just eat reviews, bloody awful, they have one job to pack an order for people wanting food with there hard earned money, they can’t pack an order it’s so ridiculous, please use KFC Kirkby there great they DO NOT waste you’re time and money at KFC Maghull it’s shocking!

Nobody at drive thru two people inside got order wrong waited in car park over 15 mins went in got refund rude staff never ever again!! Just ordered 5 box meals and some extras. Over 68 pound with delivery. 2 meals turned up and conveniently the delivery driver didn't speak a word of English at all. Had to use his translator but somehow as he walks away he can say " not my problem " Disgusting to say the least. Kfc wouldn't answer their phone either, how even more convenient.

All I can say the drive through is super slow... 20minutes to get served isn't a drive through at all and that was when there was only 1 car in front of me waiting to order! It is as if they only make the food when it is ordered. I could understand this towards the end of opening hours, but this was at 7pm on a week day. It wasn't busy, but had a steady flow of custom while I was there. Not only was the delay at the order station but also when at the collection window every customer in front of me had to wait approx 5 mins. The further downside for the store to being held in the drive through for so long, I was only being entertained by the vermin around the bins as they are out in the open in the car park, I can only suggest they should put up some sort of screening between the drive through and the bins... Although as I said, it kept me entertained while waiting for a crazy amount of time. By the time I was being served I no longer wanted the food as it had taken that long.

85+ minute wait for 2 meals ordered through the drive through. Manager wasn't really arsed/helpful.

Seriously KFC sort it out! Over half an hour wait, should have checked my bags but I had a very hungry child! Got home to find kids box half empty and no chips. Last time I go here. I said this the time before because they always forget something, I think they do it on purpose.

Great new KFC with drive through!

Waited at the counter for 10 minutes to be served, they were not busy or rushed off their feet there was a couple of people in back working away and then a few just doing nothing. I even made eye contact a couple of times with staff behind the counter and they still refused to come over and serve me. I ended up turning around and using one of the self serve kiosks. Now I struggle with these and I got my Order wrong which was my own fault but this would not of happen if someone had taken my order at the counter. I complained to the guy who gave me my Food about me waiting for 10 minutes without being served and he was not interested he said there is nothing I can do about that sorry here is your food and walked off. The food was fine I just felt the service in store was poor not every one is tech savvy and can use these kiosks ok.

Once upon a time, a long time ago there used to be a takeaway chain called Kentucky Fried Chicken, in these magical kingdoms you could walk in, you would place your order with the person behind the counter and as if by magic usually less than 5 minutes later your food order would appear in front of you piping hot and ready to eat. Hence the name FAST FOOD. Now to the modern day KFC. You place your order a hundred different ways but never ever go in to the restaurant as you may never be seen again, but why you ask. The poorly paid, under staffed people of this once called fast food chain, rush around trying to deal with all the order from the drive thru, uber eats, just eat and lots of delivery firms who seem to get priority, as well as people going in to get there food. Something goes badly wrong and you wait 20-30 minutes if your lucky. Then your order number is grunted out in a barely audible way, your delicious meal is given to you with zero customer service in mind, so you grab your precious goodies and run out as quickly as possible. On the journey home you check the contents, oh no what's this when you open the box or bag, the chips are usually half full and stone cold, beans volcanic hot. Soft drinks half filled and no ice. Noooo we cant go back now we may not escape this time. AVOID THIS KFC IN MAGHULL

It says in the website that this branch is Halal certified, and when asking an employee we were told it is not.

Inept. Got at least one thing wrong with every meal we ordered for a family of five (including one whole meal missing!). KFC Maghull: Please start to take better care, read the receipt carefully, a fruit shoot orange is not the same as fruit shoot blackcurrant, a pot of gravy is not the same as a pot of beans!

Awful customer service. Ordered 3 drinks on Click & Serve, waited almost 15 minutes then went in to see where the order was. After another 3/4 minute wait a staff member went and found the order. On taking it back to the car and opening them, the coffee was stone cold and half filled, similar with the hot chocolate. Had to return again when finally a manger apologised an replaced the drinks.

Went through drive through. Ordered a 10 piece bucket 2 sides bottle pop and a fillet burger. Absolute shocking the bucket came with 7 drumsticks in 2 sides ordered gravy and coleslaw got beans n coleslaw. Upon opening the food was cold the chips r shocking never Gona use Kentucky again over priced and over rated !!!!!!

Had no gravy so asked for beans instead. Waited nearly half an hour in the order bay watching every car behind us get their order straight away. Had enough in the end so went inside to ask where my food was to be told “they’re waiting on beans”. In what world does it take 30 minutes to reheat beans? Told the staff member to forget it and just give me the food that was ready. Didn’t get any apology for wait to top it off. Staff don’t have a great attitude there and the place seems constantly disorganised.

Another place to swerve in Maghull. Make yourself a sandwich.

Served immediately, the service was with a smile. Sat inside, and it was empty. No atmosphere.

Shocking service, orders take forever and are usually missing somrhing. Just eat delivery nearly an hour late and food stone cold. Driver was not even sure it was correct order an no order number on bags.

I'm waiting for a long time is a shame minimum 45 minutes ridiculous for a big company like KFC accepts Staff don't like prepare the order for drivers.....

Had a great Dinner here called in on our Dinner Hour !! I used the my dinner on the touch screen but it would not scan my App codes so I asked the server to help me and he was fantastic and put my order though which was 10 mini fillets and gravy for £6.99 and also sorted my codes for me and I had 2 free hot wings which he got for me !! The service was fantastic and the food came very quickly and was tasty too not greasy at all and the shop was immaculately clean as we're the toilets ! One of the best K.F.C's I have been to 👍👍

Absolutely disgusting how long you wait for deliveries, it’s worst place for deliveries. I think person who is responsible must reconsider his/her stupidly decisions on making deliveries after 100 costumers.

Service was very slow considering there was only one other customer in there at the time. Chips are never very good from KFC, and the fillet burger was ⅓ filled with a fillet. So small in fact I had to take the meat off my wings and put it inside my bun.

Horrific experience as it goes for KFC's around the country. Food was prepared to a very poor standard, meal was put together worse than a child draws a picture. Facilities around the building were in dire need of sorting, bins overflowing, toilets very smelly and generally unclean. Staff just stood around when there were empty tables which required wiping for the next customer. Staff in general didn't speak at all, just looked at you like they are about to kill you. All in all, awful.

Just off the M58 is a new KFC situated in a newly built service station. Next to a McDonald's, Starbucks, Asda on the Go and other fast food places. Staff are helpful and hard working. Large carpark surrounds.

Nice KFC with good service, far quicker than the one down the road in Kirkby. Standard KFC menu but currently a nice setting next to the fields (which are due to be built on)

How is possible to have all the same ingredients as all the other KFC's but yet make it taste so bad! I have been a few times now but won't be going back The service levels are so poor, you can't blame the staff as they are only kids but the are obviously managed badly. Long wait times, missing food from orders and no one at the drive through.

Stale corn, hard stale beans, and off corn that was grey and stank to high heaven!! Plus no sauce's , 3 fries instead off 4 in my boneless feast -extra greasy at that!- with pink stains on the chip packets , hard chicken like rock hard --yuk describes it all best off all no receipt in bag to complain . I am a delivery person and I would like to let you know that this is the worst restaurant to order food from.They treat delivery people like animals your food will always arrive cold they serve everyone in the restaurant first and if you complain to the manager he tells you to cancel. I've been here for over an hour waiting. And they make a fool of me. So if you intend to receive your food, don't order from here

Zinger box meal missing piece of chicken, couldn’t make a cup of tea , tea bag ripped into presuming the thicko thought it would dissolve like coffee granules

Drive through till broken. No human taking customers orders 1 of the 3 touch screens was dead Slow service £29 spent when I'm sure it would be much less at the window on the drive through or the order was taken by someone at the counter. No one around to help The car park in the dark is also badly illuminated and no signs making exiting confusing. I won't be back even though its closer to home than the Aintree one.

I am a delivery driver. This restaurant place priority for customers who are inside and who are driving through. We, like a delivery drivers must wait until they will finish all orders for customers inside and after that they are starting to pack the orders for customers who placed the order online. The managers are rude and aggressive if we are asking about delivery orders. Customers waiting around 1-2 hours to get the order delivered.

Well the worms were still wriggling oh sorry the fries The meal was passable but had wrong mix in box Mayb safer to go in store than the drive thru in checking you get what you ordered I found my box to have no bag of fries but hiding under the chicken is where the worms ended up Kfc been here since 1965 and they still regularly chuck up

Not a very good kfc this one. Slow service and food wasn't the best. Drive through wasn't in operation but they let you drive up to the order point before telling you no drive through. It's been open 6 months but still they haven't manged to work out how to run the place properly. Only kfc for many miles so hopefully it improves soon
