KFC in West Lindsey

Picked up a 8 piece bucket, got to my hotel in Retford to find the tiniest pieces of chicken I have ever seen and as dry as a bone. Tried to call them but got a answering machine

Since they reopened we've had one takeaway, but the chicken was overcook and dry. Dunno what's happening at KFC generally but it's not the juicy, flavoursome chicken you used to get years ago. Chips are foul but they always were.

Called in Sunday for a quick bite to eat ... big mistake, I was ignored at the till for several minutes, when I eventually got served between the young girl, the till, another me ever of staff after that I actually placed my order 5 times !!! Staff not managed, restaurant not managed when we went to find a set the place was a complete mess, rubbish and dirt on the tables and around the tables what a complete disgrace, food was ok being honest which was a positive but as for service attention to detail and housekeeping whoever is the owner of this franchise needs to drop in on them and get it sorted this is not a one off being honest every time I’ve been in it’s the same very shoddy and lack luster management change needed and quickly my suggestion

recieved 10 piece bucket ,no breasts just couple drum sticks and 8 pieces of back or thigh,not krispy just like eating fatty chicken skin .Absolutely disgusting ,feel totally ripped off ,they must use substandard cuts of chicken here.Last visited 18months ago and had similar experience .Paid 16.99 ,would be more satisfied throwing money in the river trent.

chicken looked a bit burnt but wen tasted it it was lovely got a free drink while waiting in store as chicken was still cooking highly recommended

This is the second time I have been to this particular KFC and I should have learnt from my first visit!!Staff stood talking to their friends/ relatives however I was served by a very polite young lady who clearly had only just commenced employment as she was unsure as to what she could offer us.The chicken we did get looked like it had seen the fryer on more than one occasion but as we were hungry we are what we could.The owners need to catch a grip quickly !!!

I have very little good to say about this place but will try. Service tonight was super fast. Chicken was in the bucket before we had time to collect our salt etc. Sadly the chicken was dry and tasteless. Chips were not the thin fries but thicker chips with a skin on. Mention kfc to most local people and most people have little good to say. A survey of 9 at work and 7 were uncomplimentary.

I love K F C I used to have with my aunt in Enfield as a special treat. But I have had more misses than hits in the Gainsborough branch. The staff have always been great {since the 1st manageress left} But when they are busy they dont rest the chicken long enough after serving so it is very greasy and the packaging sticks to it. Also the lemon wipes are no longer provided so its a greasy mess.

Not for the first time I was told there’d be a wait (20 minutes on this occasion) for chicken, which basically indicates very poor planning/management, but again, it was much longer - 35 minutes this time (it’s been 45 minutes in the past). I only got a polite, but feeble (“Sorry, we were busy, we had a lot of orders “) apology once I pointed out how long it had been.I’d understand if this was a small independent restaurant with a large menu, but it’s a fast food chain that only serves chicken! Ridiculous.

This is the worst chicken I have ever tasted cold burned dry chips were like out the chiller you guys should be ashamed of yourselves and food safety people should be called in please close down this appaling effort hang your heads

I used to really rate this KFC. It used to produce lovely golden chicken and it would be delicious and hot. For the last three months the food has been inedible with free meals after complaining. The main reasons are the Chicken is so watery that it tastes false, they burn everything.. normal chicken, strips, hot wings all burnt including the chips. Not only that but the old greasy taste of everything leads you think the oil hasn’t been changed for months or they are using dirty friers. The staff are fairly tame but do not provoke them as they will turn. I have stopped using this KFC and instead drive to the KFC on Nettleham road Lincoln for better service, hotter and better food.

Collected a drive through this evening and what a bid mistake.Firstly not listened to on what was ordered, then told have got no sides (but when got home got four very hot tubs of beans would never have got them anyway)was told was given extra chips instead what a lie was even less then usual!whatever have they done to the chips grey looking thicker not crispy fries they used to do they where cold soggy chewy and inedible.Now to the chicken very small pieces,cold and to well done on outside but a little pink on inside.It was all just thrown into the bag where the unwanted beans had leaked all over everything.This is not the first time this has happened at this KFC I agree with other comments that head office does not do anything about complaints.This place really needs a good sort out before something seriously goes wrong.A meal that was a complete waste of money next time shall take our trade to Scunthorpe.

Potion sizes tiny, this is not the portion size you get at other KFC. Chips burnt. Toilet dirty, hand dryer not working. Please avoid spend your money somewhere you are respected

I went with my wife on a Saturday evening to find the place full of teenagers who were not eating. We watched more teenagers come and go, using the toilets and literally staring the staff out who were obviously in no position to do anything due to the numbers. We watched decent families approach the door with children and promptly turn about when they saw inside. This situation has become worse over the last 6 months and KFC need to sort it as something is going to happen here. I have contacted KFC and they are obviously not interested - even in the safety of their own staff! Watch out and don't say you were not warned. I would avoid if you have kids

Called in at lunchtime to treat myself not had one for years, after this it'll be years before I have another, not busy at all when I went in but still left waiting, when I got my food I sat facing the car park and just glancing around it was clear that there is a cleaning issue here, like I said not busy 7 people including me were in the place with the odd car driving through ,yet the adjacent tables needed wiping down. the food was at best poor, really I should have taken it back, the chicken was dry like it had been stood a while and fat dripping out of one piece, I won't be going back there other than to use the car park.

Very slow service - somebody putting rubbish out while nobody serving in eat-in section. Waited over 10 minutes for a simple meal order. Tower Fillet Burger was horrible, fries ok but not many of them and the cup of ice with a splash of Pepsi Max was uninspiring. Will not be calling again. Avoid!

Get a bit of a mixed bag when eating at this KFC, sometimes everything is as you expect from the KFC brand, other times can be a little disappointing, chips over cooked, gravy a little thin and chicken flavourless, do hope KFC check this out regularly to make sure all the right ingredients and quantities are being used correctly.

3 mins before someone even arrived to take order, despite floor cleaner shouting "customer waiting" 3 rimes

My friend and I both ended up ill after eating at this restaurant, we definitely won't be back. The staff are rude the place is dirty and vile and the food gave us both upset stomachs.

Now it's fair to say over the years I have have been in many kfc restaraunts up and down the country so I think it's very unfortunate to have what has to be the worst one closest to home..I have used it a few times and have finally given up with it after this weekends visit...

Let’s just start with the drive through, the microphone is either that outdated or the servers are just deaf because it takes them 15 minutes to comprehend what I’m saying and to run back and forth to ask what food they’ve actually got left.

I have not been to KFC is years and years, but was visiting a friend near by so decided lets get a KFC, was a little surprissed as it was 6pm on a saturday night and it was empty. My friend was a regular so we went in (i dont like quiet places always fills there is something wrong).

Definition of insanity apparently is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different outcome. After tonight's 'treat' I think we will finally stop trying to see if the last cold meal from Gainsborough KFC was just a one off. Chips taste reheated and look grey. Burger cold. Missing ingredients to be able to order what we actually wanted. Waited a while for order to be fulfilled as we asked for our meals to be fresh. It's a very sad state of affairs when the only hot part of your FAST FOOD is the condiment. Clearly an issue here with cooking too much and leaving it sat to go cold, or perhaps the heat lamps need turning up so that customers are actually served warm food.

KFC as you’d expect! Great for that Kentucky craving!

Food ok only complaint had to wait 12 minutes. Open till late. Never busy friendly staff. Easy to find just off the main road with plenty of parking

Hubby and I decided to nip in for a treat on Saturday after Xmas shopping . Staff were disinterested and lack lustre- it was obviously an effort to serve us! Chips were cold, chicken was mostly rubbish pieces with hardly any meat on-had to ask for cups with our bottle of coke.2 boys were playing football near the counter whilst talking to the staff so was not a peaceful meal! Toilets are awful-need a jolly good clean!

Where to start...several items unavailable on the meals we wanted so I had to order substitutes. I sat down to wait for our order and noticed mess all over the floor of an unused table! We waited 10 minutes for our food and no one even attempted to clean up! Food arrived, no big bags so I had to carry smaller bags etc under my arms. With hindsight I should of checked my order before I left but when I got home several items were missing! I drove back to kfc and the items were quickly sorted with an apology which is fine! The mess was still on the floor some 20 mins late though! I think this place would get shut down if the health inspectors checked it!

Used comdom outside toilets filthy whole place dirty no ones checked them toilets for hours run by kids

Always clean and tidy, appears to not as popular as other take away (don't know why) the food is usually cooked to order so nice and fresh

Called in for lunch while we were visiting Gainsborough. Service was quick and food was as expected from a KFC. Not too busy when we visited and everywhere was tidy. There is a car park at the rear.

Used To Love The Odd KFC..Until It Came To Town.Chicken Is Very Watery And Not Much Taste..Salt,Napkins Etc Are Missing Out The Box,Bucket...Staff Are Ok I Guess. Parking Is Silly And Often Have To Find A Space While Waiting For Your Order To Be Brought Out.

Didn't fancy cooking and although I'm supposed to be dieting I decided to get a bargain bucket. Drove up - no cue, ordered and within minutes got my order. Paid, came home and enjoyed piping hit chicken. The staff were friendly and polite. Will definitely go back

Everytime I eat here they get my order wrong, its frustrating because its really not that hard to get chicken in a bag.
