KFC in East Cambridgeshire

This is the most useless KFC you will ever go to. Totally incompetent staff, you are almost guaranteed to get the wrong food. Talk about useless, steer well clear! Go to McDonald's instead, at least they are less likely to mess up your order.

Best kfc in area chicken well cooked and actually crispy skin, hot wings cooked and crispy too but not over done new chips are tasty too a little soft but tasty thanks will be back

Without being vulgar, I've not been to work for the last two days since having food from here. I wanted chicken, but pain is what I got.

I thought that it might be nice to break my journey to Norfolk with a KFC lunch, right on the A10 there. I had not bargained on the glacially slow service of the table wiping lady who isn't 100% on how to use the till and doesn't see Krushems as a viable proposition. I was stood so long waiting for the puzzle of registering the chap in front of me's of two large meals to be solved that I started to think that the chairs have been styled after the colenel's tie. They should bother less with the furnishing and more on staff training. The KFC food was as it is - much more expensive than it used to be when it was better. I never got what the black box was for; might the restaurant crash?

few workers, don’t give you what you order, kiosks do not take cash so had to wait in a long queue where the worker came every 10 minutes

Some staff get promoted for setting fire to the place some get dismissed for putting a cup.in wrong place

This is one of the worse KFC I have ever been to , the foods dry and cold , the staff don’t really care , the toilets stink , drive thru takes ages , only have to look at it compared to McDonald’s next door , it’s always empty .

We live in Ely we love kfc but the service is diabolical. Every time we go here we check our food first and every time they get something wrong. They need a good manager to kick some butt. How hard can it be to get an order right they don’t even have to write it down for Christ sakes. I would suggest everyone call the manager to the window every time they have a complaint, just maybe they will get fed up and do their job properly and make sure everything is running smoothly.

Shocking service, really need to work on speed of service and general running of the restaurant hasn’t been great for a while now a lot needs to be addressed to really improve upon all aspects

went to Ely to collect an order, the server almost threw the drinks at us one Pepsi, that then fell in my lap in the vehicle all over me and the seat. no apology just do you want another drink. obvious answer no. the bag full of food just ripped open when i handled it. this kfc needs to be avoided at all costs as customer service is -0 zero.

So so so bad waited 30 mins to order. ordered two tower box meals at drive throw missing two pieces of chicken and two beans spent 20mins arguing that we ordered "box meals" including burgers, chicken and side agreed to pay the £3 aka upgrade to box meal 2x £1.50 because the girl on speakers got our order wrong , which is wierd as she asked us what side's we wanted, only for the manger to come to our car and demand an extra £5 for two pieces of chicken or you not get any food. £5 is not the upgrade price of tower buger meal to box meal it should be £1.50 each told her this over and over again. Also she wants it in cash.... demanded a refund and left. She laughed as we drove away and said something about a tip .... kfc your manger at ely is probably pocketing money.

Just got a 10 piece family feast from here. Checked the chicken bucket before I left as I’ve had a problem before & counted 6 legs. Complained & so they swapped out 2 legs for two other pieces. When we got home and emptied the bucket properly we found we still had 5 legs so must’ve had 7 originally & all the other pieces were thighs. For £20 I expect at least one piece of breast. This is the second time we’ve had nothing but legs & thighs. Never again.

The chicken was dry, chips were stone cold, forgotten gravy, I don’t think the chicken was even cooked properly. Straight after eating I had an dodgy stomach and was being sick! Tried to contact them, received no response either by email or phone. Last time I am ever going to this restaurant. Clearly incompetent staff. Can’t even answer the phone. This KFC should be run by brain dead zombies, it would probably be better. There is no good takeaways in Ely or the surrounding areas anymore. When the leisure village first opened it was great but since then it’s gone downhill. A health and safety visitor should definitely visit this restaurant and shut it down. KFC must be going downhill because none of the KFCs are any good anymore. Hasn’t been good since they changed their fries.

We hadn’t eaten a KFC in an age so my friend and I went for a birthday treat. We did the drive thru and were told no rice boxes available so opted for two tower meals. When we got back to the house (10 mins) we had only one meal so no chips with the other, no straws, napkins etc and it was all greasier than normal and cold, it’s normally still at least warm. Very disappointed.

Ordered a family feast bucket,3 kids meals on app for collection. They forgot the chips in the family bucket and all 3 kids meals were missing pineapple sticks. The gravy and beans were cold and no one wanted to help when we told them. Rude...

This is the last time I am going to KFC. They constantly screw up my meals. Dry chicken. Cold chips.

Everytime I come here it gets worse & worse. Terrible service & absolutely disgraceful food. Firstly they gave me the complete wrong order & everything was freezing & tasted like it had gone off. Absolutely vile.

As an allergy sufferer I am very limited in what I can order in KFC but my kids love it so we go on the odd occasion. This outlet though....having been opened only in the last year or so is showing signs of being unmanaged. The service is slow with customers waiting in big queues to have their food placed on the counter. The restaurant is filthy with tables of rubbish because the bins are full to overflowing. In summary I won't be going again.

This place seems to be run by children in the evenings who stare at you through a window then walk to get someone else to serve, the service is about average but they seem to get sarcasm and customer service very confused. They also like to try and save boxes by boxing 2 meals together and dont tell you before you leave.

First I was served by a rude pubescent young lady, whine when taking my order couldn’t even crack a smile and seemed to have a attitude on her. Ordered my food and gave cash for the meals. The cashier proceeded to give me 3.60 change in 20 pence pieces I asked to give the extra 1.40 to have a five pound note, to which she said “no it’s the end of my shift” The meal sizes were wrong, the food looked like it’d been sitting rotting for days, the chips were over cooked. Won’t be going again with the attitude of the staff and the state of the food.

Not the biggest of KFC outlets but generally clean on most of my visits.The food quantity and quality is very good, I particularly favour the wraps and burritos.The staff are mostly polite and give an excellent service. The slightly quieter calmer atmosphere within KFC will generally make it my preferred destination, I've also experienced less mistakes here than in other fast food outlets in the locality.

How is KFC 20th of 20!? Particularly polite lady serving at the drive thru window, food served quickly and was hot and fresh. I actually drove away with a smile, such was the quality of the staff. Other than that, it’s a KFC, I’ve only had a couple of crap ones elsewhere, Ely’s was great.

Just had the best KFC ever! The Daddy Burger was amazing. My husband had the Zinger stacker and nearly went back for another! After reading other reviews we must gave visited at a calmer time. The staff member who served us was extremely helpful and polite. Only downside was no fork for the beans and we should have asked for salt with the chips. Major problem is the parking bays. Far too tight and you easily get boxed in by other cars coming through the drive thru.

Waited 15 mins to order food, even though there were only 2 people in front of me. Girl at the till looked lost, the four people in the back were singing at the top of their voices and dancing while I waited a further 10 mins for food. One girl must of seen the frustration/anger on my face and smiled and waved. Every table was filthy. A guy asked for something to wipe his table and was given a wet wipe.

Busy place with other outlets like McD's and a pub. Long queue in here with one lady with glasses taking orders, who was working hard, and another serving who was so slow. Then just as she finally got to my order, she walked away. Soon another girl came and did my order but was so obvious she couldn't be bothered. Really slow and poor service. The food was hot and of good quality (for a KFC). Later I saw the same girl with glasses busy cleaning tables and floors. Such a difference in the staff.

Staff are rude, swearing and yelling at their young team members was awful to hear, felt bad for the parents with young children, the young girl manager was particularly bad the language was awful coming out of her mouth would not recommend wouldn’t rate this place avoid

Ok so pulled up , looking at the menu boards on the drive thru , not yet reached the speaker , but could here the guy yelling down it over and over again “ what do you want to order” , eventually pulled up and they had run out of what we wanted , then he got pushy about what else we wanted ,we then paid contactless , were it beeped and he just shut the window , so we assumed we now should proceed to the next collection window ?

Staff are rude and appear to have forgotten there manners. Have forgotten to put items in the bag and nearly forgot the drinks if I didn’t remind them. Asked for bbq sauce, think most of it went on the floor as it was shoved at me! Bloke at the speaker on the drive through was chatting to his mates whilst I was waiting.... avoid if you can

After ordering at the speaker box, drove round to the pay window and no one was there. Nothing to say this window is closed or anything. So we drove round to the corner to join the line. Sat there for 30 minutes and no one had moved yet. Once we finally got to the window, they didn't even have our order on the system and told to re-order. Didn't apologise for the wait or lack of service, so we drove off.

Been here many times since it’s opened , service is generally slow , always run out of something , often poor Pepsi out of bottles into paper cups , one occasion ordered a large drink , and got given 3 smalls , when going thru the drive thru often told chicken gonna be 10 mins to cook like they expect you to say “ok il go elsewhere , sorry for putting you out .”

sometimes run out of certain dishes but on the whole very good but they have recently changed the fabulous fries they used to have for 30+ years to a new style which have skins on and are not that nice, but that's my own opinion. KFC change back please !

Given that a drive through can throw up all sorts of menu issues then I guess I would deserve what I get here having only seen these, frankly, poor set of reviews only after dining.

Queued 10 minutes to order, waited 22 more minutes for food, friends ordered food had already finished their Luke warm offering. Lots of people waiting those times too. Understaffed and under mannered.

Awful service/awful food. We all know what kfc tastes like...well if u come here you may be disappointed. Burgers slapped together with a very small dot of mayo, chips not that warm and as for getting what you ordered..forget it! 3 other people before us had to go back to complain that their order wasn’t complete and so did we. To top it off the toilets were out of order! Never again

Tried to use the drive though. There was just one car info to of me and one behind. Despite the lack of customers, it took an age for anyone to ask me what I wanted. Sorry I gave up and drove away.

This kfc is not as good as when it first opened. Customer service was great at first, but not so much now. No ketchup available!! No milkshakes, chips were Luke warm, chicken ok ish, but not large pieces. Shame cos it was lovely at the beginning.

We visited as a family and there was afull power cut just as we were paying. They said it didn't go through but my bank statement shows I have been charged twice. Manager said we could have free food but wouldn't refund as the money would come out of his pocket. (but it's ok if it came out of my pocket and my children's mouths) Escalating to KFC complaints now as manager Javad Ghani would not help and was absolutely rude.

My girlfriend and I decided to treat ourselves to some junk food. The word 'junk' has never been more appropriate. The fries were dry before we'd even left the store and tasted like old socks. The chicken wasn't much better, but at least it was edible. The desserts on offer were bland and few, so we went to a rival next door for the trusted McFlurry (which was lovely). Only good thing about our KFC experience was that there were no queues and the lady serving us was very friendly. Other than that, there were few positives.

Decided to give it another try after a few months hoping it had improved but nope it has got worse. Appalling service still and food awful, I was told they had no lettuce for a fillet burger which wasn't too much of a problem as they never put more than a penny size piece in anyway but when I got the food home it was just a bit of dry chicken in the bun with no mayo, the chicken skin was wet and soft as usual & the chips were cold. On the counter was a hand written note stating which food was available and what wasn't, the sauces were in plastic squeeze bottles which could be taken away in empty coffee containers. This is the worst fast food restaurant I have ever been in and it gets worse each time. Never again !

When it comes to fried chicken, I really wish that the US's Bojangles and/or Popeye's fried chicken chains would set up in the UK. Their food is stunningly good.

I have visited this KFC a few times since it opened. I thought maybe the first visit which was less than lacklustre was due to it being new. However subsequent visits proved equally disappointing. Staff are clearly not trained to be able to give a good customer experience. The ordering is painful, staff seem unable to explain what is on offer. The staff seem oblivious to an annoyingly loud alarm going off. Most disappointing of all is that on 3 separate visits the food has been either cold or wrong.
