KFC in Ballymena

Were to start, fillet burger very salty and I mean salty had to peal the skin off so that I could eat it, fries with skin on not nice at the best of time, but then they coat them with a spice to hide the taste I presume. No salad as they had run out, REALLY. Will not be going to a KFC soon, Burger King or MacDonald's from now on

I rearly write negative reviews as you see from my previous reviews but had to tell this story. What a dirty ho*e of a place, simply unbelievable and then some. Staff were more concerned about texting on their phones with no eye contact and very poor manners. Given that normally I love KFC it's a total disgrace in Ballymena. I will never ever be back.

I always use the drive thru. Everytime they forget something. I have a large family so my order is always big. L cannot and should not have to check everything each time but there is always something missing. I rang them and told them to at least check the bags each time. I will not be back.

Ordered a bargain bucket and two portions of fries, chicken was burnt to a crisp, chips were soggy and cold, only nice thing was the garlic dip. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I hadn't had a KFC for a long time as the food wasn't up to its usual standard but thought ill give it a try. I dont know how many times they've got orders wrong ........but this ones the best ...........6 piece family feast ( the clue is in the 6 pieces of chicken!!!!) Arrived home opened the box and only 5 pieces in the box ............. which looked like it had been sitting under a hot lamp for hours .......... I knew when it wasn't busy I should have driven on past ............... that'll be the last time they get an order wrong!!

I visited this restaurant on Saturday 27th November at approximately 5.45PM. I’m being specific about the time as I’m hoping this comment may reach the staff who were working at the time. I was in the local area as I was getting my covid booster. I had the option of getting it closer to home but I never miss an opportunity for a trip to this particular KFC and once again I was not disappointed. The food was excellent as always but I’d like to draw attention to the excellent service which provided not only to myself but also to others. Both the restaurant and drive through were very busy and there were only 2 staff covering the front of house service. These gentlemen showed tremendous grace under pressure and the gentleman taking orders in the restaurant was still discussing the side order options with what appeared to be genuine enthusiasm. He took time to apologise profusely for the lack of gravy to each customer which was truly excellent service. They weren’t just staff they were super staff and the only thing missing were capes.

Chips r gorgeous 2nite best in weeks months just needed 2 let who ever cooked the chips thank u. We bit of bad smell of the tights hopefully I'm ok through the nite. Very hard 2 send this review because all the names r took

Avoid at all costs. The quality of the food they serve is dreadful, even by KFC standards. Staff are Dreadful and service extremely poor. Without a doubt the second worst KFC in Northern Ireland (after Lisburn).

Absolutely disgusting. Chicken wasn’t cooked properly and chips were soggy. There were no straws for the drinks. If I could give a negative number I would. Never have I tasted anything so rank in my life.

Felt like I was biting into a pice of wood, the chicken was so hard, old lettuce used, didn’t even get the order correct, I will never go back, worste KFC ever.

The only good thing is a chicken fillet burger everything else on offer is not worth eating. It’s just awful

Asked for a big Daddy box. Before the order was told they had run out of bacon. Ok, that happens. The asked for no sauce or mayo guess what was on the burger. Fast food yes but what If I had an allergy. The guy behind the counter spent more time worrying about his face covering and pulling it away from his face.

I’ve been round the roundabout twice in the last 2 weeks twice the orders have been wrong and the staff are so rude, I asked the staff member to repeat the order back to me and it was completely wrong after correcting her she still got my order wrong, was rude through the microphone and even more RUDE when I collected my food. If you don’t like your job fair enough, but customer service is shocking and I’d rather drive to Antrim for a kfc than go back to Ballymenas which is only round the corner.

Went for the first time in months. Girl on speaker was very rude and kept laughing down the speaker. The girl also swore down the speak at the end, when we were driving away. Overall was very rude and unhelpful. Order was wrong and chips were freezing. If your looking for nice food and a friendly helpful service, honestly save your money and don’t bother. I’ve been to plenty other KFCs who’s service was top class and also had warm food.

Not one time has my order been correct, my regular order is a boneless banguet which is a small popcorn chicken, three boneless pieces, a side of corn and chips, I have always been charged for everything yet when I receive my order and have asked the person at the window whether everything is in the bag they ensure it is all there, I then get home and find at least 2 items of my order not there and have still been charged. I keep ensuring myself that it was just a one off mistake but I do not think I have ever received my full order. I would not recommend this KFC to anyone at all, this will be my last time at this KFC.

When r food arrived it was all freezing cold chips wrap popcorn chicken fillet burger chicken fillets the only thing what was warm was the pot of gravy

Three fifths of our order was wrong. Took an age to get served. No mayo on burgers. Drinks tasted like chemicals (all drinks were dumped). 🤢🤢 Really couldn't recommend this place. Sorry to all the staff, I'm sure they try their best.....

Went here recently and popped into the toilet which was absolutely disgusting. it clearly hadn't been cleaned in ages with bins overflowing and sinks filled with tissue. I was completely turned off eating there.

easy to park,good food not bad on prices. makes a change good staff and reasonably clean. its a fast food place but not too bad

Website says it's open till 12am. Got there at 11.25 and it was shut. Went to maccy d's instead. Get it round ye.

well decided to have a kfc today since haven't had one in ages

In recent times KFC have changes their chips and in my opinion they are terrible,the last two times they have been burnt and a very strong tangy skin taste. I will not be using them again unless there is a change for the better.

I have used this KFC very occasionally but tonight I bought a 2 piece and a 3 piece meal for myself and my grandson.

Compared to Coleraine this kfc is the Ritz plesent staff clean and not to much waiting. I have been over 6 times since summer well worth the drive

Decided to have a treat night and brought a selection of meals home for the family. Our order was wrong, some of it missing and the drinks were flat. Spent a fortune for absolutely disgusting food most of which we couldn’t eat and certainly couldn’t drink the drinks.

One young lady working solo out front trying to do it all on a busy lunch afternoon 13.06 @1pm, finally got serviced burger was cold chips the same but the girl was under pressure just left, ain't worth the stop

Complain to this store and get ignored, received incorrect order last week, when got home opened a 6 piece bucket to find 5 of the pieces, wings ! All from diff cookups, as dried out and hard. No sauce, which was ordered, and for a plain burger, instead of a zinger burger, called to complain and asked why i got 5 wings, was told, 'were told to use up whats there' was like pulling hens teeth to get any apology or fix the issue, no pun ! Was told store manager would call me back, and 10 days later still waiting.

Sorprendentemente suficiente, me permito llegar tener comida hablaron en desde aquí una noche pese a no tener intenciones de volver. Las patatas fritas eran duras como la carretera y sabía que había sido puesto en la freidora varias veces, el pollo no era siquiera debidamente preparado. Personal no tiene entusiasmo al tratar con los clientes. No tengo ni idea de cómo me habló de volver a ir allí, pero yo ciertamente no será de nuevo.

Nos ocurrió a ver este KFC cuando íbamos en coche a lo largo del hermoso de Antrim. Sinceramente, nos detuvimos aquí como una cuestión de curiosidad. La verdad es que no reconocen los restaurantes kfc que se utiliza en los estados unidos. El lugar tenía un montón de niños de la escuela, que viene después de la escuela para aperitivos. Pero, no teníamos el maravilloso pollo frito nos encanta mucho! Simplemente no tienen! Cuando gira un país extranjero, a menudo disfrutan de una hamburguesa de McDonald's o sándwich BBQ hard rock si nos cansamos de comida local. Normalmente, la comida es muy parecida a lo que tenemos en los estados unidos. Este KFC. . No tanto!.

Vine aquí para el cumpleaños de un amigo. Mi primera parada fue en el inodoro y fue horrible con orina en el piso, papel higiénico en el lavabo y un asqueroso olor. La comida fue un desastre, mientras que una persona en el partido tenía la comida más perfectamente cocinado, ese no fue el caso para mí. El primer problema con mi comida, veía el miembro del personal literalmente de piedra la caja casi en el piso. Las patatas fritas eran de piedra fría y cachondos mientras el pollo parecía calentar en un microondas. Experiencia triste, no volveré.

Although I vowed never to return I used the drive through to fulfill a friends request for a bargain bucket. Surly service. Had to go back since the order was short. Typical. No apology.

staff are useless. so rude it's unbelievable. for all the time I've been going there I've had one decent member of staff. others just walk up, throw your food down and say... "here".

Me ENCANTA KFC. Así que ese dolor me dejar un comentario tan decepcionado. El interior estaba sucia (planta y mesas). Apenas si había mesas limpias. Los que se. no necesiten limpian en bandejas. La Papelera más fluida. . Me hubiese gustado comimos en el coche. Por lo menos hubiera sido limpio. Había una mujer extremadamente agradable joven por su propia cuenta que sirve una cola muy larga. Ella nunca hubiera tenido tiempo de mantener las mesas limpias. Si el propietario no me permite KFC alguien a la propia franquicia que desacreditan la marca como este. Iv been here a few times, orders are slways wrong, food is the worst Iv had out of any KFC, if you want a good KFC drive past & go to Larne its 1 of the best about...

At the insistence of my hungry and less discerning companion I accompanied him and had a coffee which was ok. Service still inexpert, food still sloppy and greasy. But do they care? No.

In for a bite after a days shopping (Sunday afternoon).Very friendly service. The male staff member joked and chatted away. While serving us. Two kids meals and to box meals. All the food was warm and very tasty.

Went here last night, place was filthy ,bin was so full the rubbish was on the floor round it, we had to use our own wet wipes to clean a table to sit at , all the tables were stinking and the floor was a disgrace. The queue took forever to get through, and felt sick all night after eating here .

We don't usually go to KFC but my children had a friend staying who wanted to go here. I really wish we hadn't. Stood in the queue for just over 20min (there was 4 people in front of me) There was no med cups, no salt, no napkins, they got the order wrong and every single table was filthy there was chicken bones on tables spilled gravey, chips and who knows what else everywhere. The kids found it hilarious saying "ahhhhhhh there's been a zombie apocalypse look at all the bones" Disgusting

This KFC was so bad it was an absolute shocker. The chicken I received wasn't even cooked properly, the chips were so greasy it made them impossible to eat. The floors were greasy you could have nearly fallen on them. Will not be back.

Staff are really nice and food was piping hot, good to see that they have got table staff in now, nicest KFC I've been too in a while

Called in after being to orthodontist. Child wanted KFC and wanted to treat me. Paid for 2 chicken fillet burger meals with coke. Used drive through person who took order was rude and impatient. Abruptly ordered to drive round now. Went round paid ended up with the 2 meals in a small bag contents of which a 5 year old child could have eaten all in one go and still have been hungry. Fries were pathetic, burgers were cold and had been cooked and preheated as they were hard as rock baps were stale and to crown it all coke was watered down and this was quite obvious. No gas at all in it and very watery. Very disappointed. Went in to complain was told meals were to standard of KFC and server walked off and left me. Meals cost over a tenner and all staff were rude ignorant and very unhelpful complete and utter rip off. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

After its refurbishment I had high hopes that this outlet would sustain the improvements. Arguably the poorest of the KFC's in Northern Ireland. Food is inconsistent in quality and service depends on who you get. Can't really blame the staff. I think it is simply poorly managed.

I went there with my boyfriend on a Saturday evening. It was 9:15pm. We stood there for about 2 minutes until the staff who were busy sweeping the floor in the till area actually acknowledged us. And then they told us it was take away only. The closing time is 11pm. I was looking forward to KFC all day that day, we walked down in pouring rain and we were for going to Tescos after so take away was out of question.It was 1 hour and 45 minutes until closing time. It's not like they have to wash the dishes after us. All they would have to do is wipe a bloody table.

You don't expect much from KFC at the best of times but this place does its best to lower your expectations even further. Slow service from staff who would rather be anywhere than there, cold food, flat drinks and if you use the drive in a 90% you'll not get what you ordered. Overall it's very very poor.

Having stopped here over the weekend I am in deep regrets especially with how horrendous it is. The cola tastes like water, the chicken was so hard you could play Ping-Pong with it and the chips weren't even cooked at all. The cleanliness is zilch this KFC isn't clean full stop.

This KFC is greasy from the minute you walk in until the second you leave. The toilets are horrendous. The staff are extremely cheeky. Very disgusted.

KFC was good once upon a time. This KFC serves food which should never be gave to anyone, the chips are cooked and then they seem to be constantly reheated until they are so hard you can not eat them. The chicken is usually undercooked and red on the inside. The service is disgraceful as the staff never seem to listen to what your order is.

This is one of the worst KFC I've ever been in ..the staff seem like there at a funeral all depressed looking .the food was cold, chips were cold whole thing was so greasy. Whoever is the management needs sacked this place is a disgrace ..the seating area was clean at least something they can get right ..if someone in there head office would take time to read these you management needs gone , this place needs Shut down

Had stopped going here for a long time because of poor quality food. Either luke warm or wrong side orders but more often both. Went again recently and still got the wrong side orders but at least the food was hot this time!

Never never never again this has to be the worst kfc ever. Never get anything right and it's always cold. Management are a joke don't help any if the new starts or do anything to help

can be quite hit and miss here also regularly get orders wrong and is very disappointing if you go inside pre-pair to wait a long time to be served and get your food and the tables and floor is often not tended to also though its not the restaurants fault the area surrounding is very dirty with discarded papers etc

Now I know why it has poor reviews. Ordered the wicked variety box, only got about half the order, no chicken wings. I am now to far away to got back and complain so that is why I am leaving this message. The chicken we got was as previous comments full of grease and not tasty or apatising at all.

Cold tasteless food and the sides are so appalling you are better off without them. Staff are gormless.

Tried here again. The coke I got tastes of plain plastic. The food was nothing but grease and the chicken very dry. Was unable to eat my meal. Very disappointed. I think it is time this franchise branch closes down.

This KFC was quite bad before the renovations. But since the refurbishment they have improved a lot. In cleanliness, food quality and portion sizes. If you reviewed before the refurbishment, give it a try again as it has improved a lot

I have always been a KFC fan. If you want good quality fast, convenient food at a reasonable price this franchise has always tended to deliver.What has let KFC down is that some franchisees have let them down. In the past few years the Ballymena branch has deteriorated hence the terrible reviews. I have steered clear in the past because there was so much not right about it. However What An Improvement. An excellent refurbishment and change of staff (and perhaps change of management) has resulted in thee visits in less than two weeks. Cleanliness is good staff clearing tables swiftly after those who cant be bothered adhering to the normal protocol of fast food establishments or cant read the polite requests to use the bins provided. Even the food seems to have improved, both in portion size and taste although I agree with other reviewers who yearn for that original special flavour that has got lost over the years. Service can be erratic and variable but I hope this will improve as business improves and customers begin to return.

The worst kfc I have ever had. Does not taste at all like it should, NO KFC FLAVOUR!! It tastes like burnt or old oil. Dreadful. I went back one time in case it was a one off but it tasted just as bad the second time.

I was here today (8th Feb) and I was not impressed. The food was very greasy and some fat squirted in my mouth from some of the chips. the chicken is extremely undercooked. the even worse thing is that when I was in the gents bathroom I noticed a CCTV running which i thought was very creepy. safe bet is not to return!

Called in for a quick bite with family (march 2014) the place was a right tip , while I appreciate that renovations were in progress this shouldn't take away from cleanliness and customer care . Both I'm afraid to say were totally non existent .. Staff were as uninterested and cold as the food which they dished out , in my opinion worst KFC we have ever visited .. Will we visit again? Probably out of curiosity , and to give this eatery a second chance after the facelift is complete . To conclude . Absolutely no excuse for lack of cleanliness ,cold food and staff that certainly need retrained in customer care

Hadn't been to KFC for a long time due to the floppy chips and greasy burgers, but we tried it again last month. We were pleasantly surprised that they have since changed their chips, and the box meal we felt was very good value. We didn't go inside the restaurant but instead used their drive thru. Service wasn't spectacular, but everything in order was correct and overall we enjoyed our meal!

This branch of KFC is one of the few terrible ones I've been in! The place is never clean, one time I slid on mushed chips on the floor, their Krushem machine never works and when it does, it tastes like baby food, the staff are always looking filthy and picking their noses!

Went here in the evening time and went straight up to the counter we decided to sit in i really wished we hadnt the place was filthy and im not just talking about the dirty tables floor and chips all over the floor this place could do with a major clean up. After we sat down and say how dirty and threw other it looked it put me off my food i will never eat in this fast food place again
