My sister bought me the vineyard tour for my birthday and what a present! Tha tour was fab. Informative yet relaxed. The wines are delicious and the surroundings are beautiful. From the second we arrived the staff were fantastic. The sharing platter was HUGE and crazily delicious. Highly recommend and can guarantee we will be back for the other exciting events in the pipeline. Thank you all for a fantastic birthday experience. See you soon!

Fabulous first visit to Kenton Vineyard. Excellent lunch (husband had chicken & bacon skewers & I had Burrata Fig & Peach salad with a delicious bottle of their wine (Grape Escape) which was very reasonably priced followed by coffee. Our waiter Dominic was extremely attentive & knowledgeable as were all staff. Lovely ambience, grounds etc. We will be returning!

My Auntie, mum, sister and I came here at the End of July for Wine Tasting and our experience was absolutely incredible. Dom was our Host for the afternoon and was extremely knowledgeable with the wines being tasted. It was a 30th birthday Present from my auntie and they kindly gave me a glass of the most delicious pink fizz to celebrate. The wines were fantastic and went well with our snacks which accompanied them. We all fell in love with the godminster cheese and fizz! Also the scotch eggs and sausage rolls were to die for! We continued our afternoon in their lovely gardens, chilling with a bottle of fizz, and Dom kindly showed us the herb gardens and it was amazing! He is extremely knowledgeable and is such a good host overall. The ducks had been put away for the night but I hope to see them soon. I am due back with friends on the 21st of Sept as I loved it so much and plan a girly day with more family next year. It’s a must and such a great gift experience for a loved one!

Poor customer care. Lack of pride in the food being served. We ordered the Olives as a starter. When after 50 mins they came out it was just a small bowl of olives without the basket of bread or anything to eat them with. We asked for some cocktail sticks or similar. The waiter went inside and brought a small handful of cocktail sticks and told us he wanted us to have enough. The main course was served and it looked really nice. My wife had the chicken which looked and tasted nice. I ordered the monkfish and scallop whilst it looked nice the crumb was so salty I could not taste the seafood at all. We decided that due to the poor quality we would not order any more food or coffee. Not all the visit was poor. The vineyard was nice and we met a member of staff who took the time to talk to us. When my wife told the waiter it was our anniversary they kindly gave her a glass of sparkling wine.

Went with 8 friends (though we were also there 2 weeks ago for the sundowner festival which was also a 5 star day) we had safari hut 1, the staff here or the motley cru are a helpful enthusiastic bunch of welcoming people. the sparkling rose is really good and all the wines I tasted are exceptional (I haven’t had a huge amount of great English wines in the past so I wasn’t expecting these to be as good as they are). The food is outstanding, it’s not cheap but it’s really really good. We had a couple of the deli platters and everything on them is outstanding. A couple friends had steak and it was just as outstanding. The setting is wonderful too. You have guts, a restaurant and a few different rooms as well as 2 patios. If you want to spend an afternoon in a heavenly environment then this is the place. The wine actually works out at a good price as they don’t charge extra to drink a bottle on site. Find a pub where you can pay the same for a decent bottle. You can walk around the grounds too. A treat but well worth it, great experience, lovely staff and nice food and drink. Cannot ask for more!

Paid and booked online for a wine safari. Money taken and reminders of tour received. However on the day they couldn’t find the booking and weren’t in a position to provide the tour that was paid for. Company fail to understand the problem and refuse to compensate. Avoid at all costs.

We visited with friends for a wine tour on Saturday lunch and had such a great time! We arrived and had a refreshing gin and tonic and glass of wine with a deli feast platter (which was delicious and plentiful) John then took us on an informative and fun wine tour of the vineyard and talked through the history of the business and different variety of wines while we tasted them. All of our party enjoyed all of the wines and each has a favourite. Great to see a local, family run business doing well and look forward to visiting again soon.

We came for lunch for a birthday and it was amazing. Nice relaxed and beautiful setting. Wonderful staff who were extremely polite and attentive. There was almost too much to choose from the menu but it has just made us more eager to return to this wonderful place to try more of the menu.

We joined your Winter Dining last night and it was delightful. The grounds and rooms were beautiful decorated, twinkly and cosy, the staff attentive and friendly and the food excellent. The weather during the day had been horrendous so it must have been difficult. I wish we had had better weather and could have sat in the tempting outdoor space by the warm fire-pits but it was not to be - next year hopefully. We really enjoyed the salmon starter and the duck, steak and tarteflette mains which were substantial and beautifully prepared. Thank you.

We had a fantastic wine tour today. The setting is just stunning, the tour guide made things incredibly interesting and helpful so you can apply them when you choose wine in a shop or restaurant. The wines were all really lovely, with very generous tasting portions and the food at the end was a fantastic platter. Highly recommend this tour, lovely people, local produce and a great atmosphere.

We visited for lunch, having booked a table weeks in advance. The setting is absolutely stunning, and menu is great. We started with a lovely bottle of their white wine, then ordered our food. It was a fair wait for food (around 40 mins) despite being the only diners inside. The steak platter for 2 looked delicious, and one of our party had prawn tostadas - also lovely. Unfortunately our final dish, the burger, arrived stone cold, including the sides. It was returned, and to their credit a fresh meal was made, but took another twenty mins, by which stage the rest of the group had finished. We also ordered an extra glass of wine which was forgotten and I had to ask again. There seemed to be an awful lot of staff around, but only one person actually taking orders, pouring drinks and taking payments. In short, maybe we caught them on an ‘off day’ - the food was delicious, the location was stunning but the service let it down for me. I hope to return and catch them on better form!

What a lovely evening in the Garden on this amazing estate to watch Romeo and Juliet. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Took our own chairs and purchased wine from the Vinyard. Another time I would book a hamper they looked delicious and for £50 for 2 I thought they were very good. The play was excellent and very entertaining, the actors brought the whole play alive.

My friend & I turned up around lunchtime no booking. Lovely location & a great view of the vineyard outside. Staff were very accommodating & said we might wait a bit for food, but was not the case. We both went for the Hake special, on a bed of beans, leeks & chorizo, sharing a bowl of rosemary & lemon fries. Food was delicious & we were left to enjoy the countryside too. Will definitely visit again!

I was recommended this place by my some friends, needless to say i was disappointed. The staff were rude and inconsiderate, the food was cold and we were left waiting for ages for our table to be cleared. I may go again because this might of been a one off but definitely didn’t wow me.

I visited here as a guest of friends who live nearby From minute one the service fell well below the standard one would expect from a purportedly posh establishment The staff where all perfectly nice but I'm afraid they weren't up to scratch at all. I am conscious of the attention to detail that properly trained proud and passionate staff can do On the continent you can expect this high standard tiobe observed almost everywhere you go In the UK it is vanishingly rare and absent from this place The setting is spectacular, the food offering seemingly splendid with some expensive misty shots of the dishes adorning the menu but it was all woefully oversold and disappointing If you're going to boast about intense flavour then make sure you provide it My fellow diner could discern none of this intense flavour in their wild mushroom dish The mussels where terrible , tiny and far from fresh We're a few miles from a mussel farm but these wrinkly specimens did not come from there Moules marinieres should not despite popular belief have cream in it ,wine shallots parsley and butter only It was sickly and horrid and the greasy fries didn't help much When we sat down our table was dirty We asked for it to be cleaned and the waitperson did this in a sullen half hearted fashion using no spray and missed loads of horrid stuff like minging dead insects on the glass table ( it was outside to be fair ) In a million years you wouldn't sit down at a dirty table in a vineyard restaurant in France Italy or Spain I wouldn't dream of having moaned about all this when there as I was a guest of friends and who wants to make a scene. It was a thoroughly dispiriting experience that makes me despair of our hospitality in Devon and the UK outside of a few multicultural urban centres and a few pockets of passionate people. Shameful Kenton estate , up your game please. The wine was very good however and it's a great spot.

Our fourth or fifth visit ,, lunch in one of the safari huts was great fun! Pre-ordered lunch as they were busy over the bank holiday , really excellent monk fish and scallops, beautifully cooked . The rose fizz is very good . The staff are welcoming and helpful, finished with coffee on the outside terrace. Well worth the trip down the lanes to get to, a quality venue!

We booked one of the safari huts for a girls lunch. As soon as we arrived we were blown away by the views and the vineyard. There are lovely outside seats as well as the safari huts, and a lovely inside seating area too. Our waitress was fantastic and I wish we had asked her name (she said she was new). She talked us through the wines and bought us samples to try. We chose one of their own wines and it was great value at about £22 a bottle. We asked a few questions about the menu which she ran off to find out, and then came back to let us know. There were at least 5 specials alongside the printed menu. I asked about gluten free and they were really knowledgable and accommodating. The food arrived quickly and we thought it was excellent value for the prices we paid. The food was excellent. All in all, we were thoroughly impressed by the atmosphere, the service, the food and the drinks. Can’t wait to return.

We were taken here by my in-laws-to-be to celebrate our engagement. A real gem. Great set-up with a good bar/cafe area indoors which we took shelter in when it briefly rained and a spacious terrace outside with a top/notch outdoor kitchen set-up. The food was excellent - locally sourced, and nicely cooked (we had scallops and monkfish, steak and mussels). Better still was the Motley Cru English sparkling wine (which is produced onsite) that we washed it down with - the 2014 blancs de blancs had real depth and easily rivalled champagne. Great buzz - they were packed when we were there and service was very friendly and accommodating. We will come again! Thanks Jo and Peter for taking us.

What a wonderful hidden secret in the wonderful Devon countryside. The venue is beautiful both inside and outside nothing but lovely rolling countryside to look at. The menu was exceptional, beautiful presentation and great flavour. The wine would give any world class a run for its money. Cannot wait for the next visit.

I had been following Kenton Park on instagram and was really excited to visit. I made a reservation and was thrilled it was dog friendly. The entrance and the entire place is just stunning. However the minute you set foot in there it was most unwelcoming ! No welcome, just do you want to order drinks and food? Not even seen a menu ! We were shown to our table, which already had someone else sat at, but he kindly moved. There is no table service, you go inside. It was a very hot day and I asked 2 members of staff for a water bowl for the dog as the one that was out was yellow! and eventually third time, it appeared. No chat, no sorry. I took myself off to look at the wine tasting area, which looked absolutely amazing, but no one wanted to engage or explain anything, they just wanted you to order your food at the counter, go back to the counter to pay and leave. All the tables appeared booked for later in the day but at that time it was not busy. We were so disappointed, we paid and left. 2 bagels and three drinks, £30 plus and wish we hadn't bothered. Maybe its because we are not regulars, or hadn't booked lunch. Who knows.

The vineyard tour was brilliant, in an outstanding setting with stunning gardens and views. Ian was so knowledgeable, friendly, and really has a passion for winemaking. I recommend this if you have an interest in wines and want to learn about just what goes into growing the grapes organically at Kenton Park Estate. We paused several times around the vineyard to discuss the varieties and a sample some of their delicious wines. All were incredible! Following this, we shared a delicious feast platter, paired with a bottle of wine, which was perfect. Can't wait to return!!
