Excellent cod & chips. Friendly honest service. Definitely the best chippy in the area 👍

Been in there twice both times the bold guy tried to charge me extra (obviously first time thought it was a genuine mistake) got home my son couldn’t eat the sausage in batter (my son eats anything) when I looked the sausage was Hardly cooked. It really is a depressing place the owner just moans about life. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Always good food and brilliant people

Decent chips but not the cheapest- £5 for a large portion, but I suppose that's probably average now. Chips were coated and fried well and size were much bigger than usual. Owner told me that battered sausage was halal, so tried this too and this didn't disappoint at all, crisp and perfect. Service could have been quicker but probably worth the wait. Card payments taken and inside had very cool rustic vibe. Not best chippy I've ever been to but will visit again.

The best chips ever, really good staff and really nice

I opted for the classic cod and chips, and I was not disappointed. The fish was perfectly cooked, with a light and crispy batter that gave way to tender, flaky flesh. The chips were equally impressive, boasting a satisfying crunch on the outside and a fluffy interior. It was a true taste of British comfort food at its finest.

Worst food ever couldn't even eat it and made me sick

I went in to get sausage n chips open when I went to put salt n vinegar on my food I noticed hair dust n fluff fibres on white paper where they wrap chips in I told the bold guy he asked John to fetch his glasses he also saw this but blamed his colleague John of scratching his head he tried to blame him I'm obvs not a stupid person I know this was a dirty shop full of dust n dirt if this wasn't the case he wouldn't of given my money back so I can leave the shop as there was another customer just bought her food he didn't want her to make a fuss but after I left she didn't leave out behind me so she must of also wanted to check her food please make sure you dnt get your food wrapped in dusty dirty food wrap paper look before you buy or avoid all together.

Forget getting food from here, the owner was very rude because we were looking at the menu and deciding what we want for a minute. He was like, either order or move on, not like there was a queue of customers behind us, we were there alone. The place is unsanitary, bugs and cockroaches 🪳 running around! We even caught a guy behind the counter picking his nose and wiping it on his T-shirt! Absolutely disgusting 🤢😷🤮 We walked straight out and went to another food place.

I dont know what the sausage is made of.. but its black and tough as old boots. My kids aint fussy but they couldnt even eat it. We all like the fat chips from a chip shop.. but these were to big and under cooked. Very disappointing.

Really good fish and chips, let down slightly by the sides but overall a great chippy. Will definitely be back.

All I had was chips but this will get 5 stars, why? They take card which barely any fish and chip places do Cheap and generous for a portion of fries We can sit inside with takeaway food Free ketchup, mayo, salt and vinegar on the counter where we can help our selves for free Almost every fish and chip place do not fill these criteria’s. Will visit again and try out new stuff.

It's probably the best fish and chips I have ever had. I travel from Watford to Barnet just to get some every Friday. Highly recommended 👌

The batter of the cod was soggy and not tasty at all. Chips were nice. All cooked fresh, portions generous. As a woman, I don’t feel particularly comfortable in their shop waiting for food, especially around the man who stands on the other side of the counter. Maybe it’s just me but both times I have been, I didn’t feel comfortable there alone.

Absolutely horrific owner. Went on recommendation. Was ignored for several minutes and from the outset the owner was so rude. My card was not authorising and he started abusing and was insinuating I was a thief! Disgusting.

Really rude man with bald head served me I just wanted to try them out for the first time I ordered a large portion of chips The bald man clearly had the hump I was only ordering chips He kept saying my type only come out at Christmas. Didn’t offer me any salt or vinegar, grabbed my money with no thank you and stormed off . He doesn’t know my background and maybe I couldn’t afford to spend any more Will never go back again Chips were under cooked I had to put them in the air fryer Perhaps if he’s so precious about just serving chips he should have said no Won’t be returning.

Great staff, great food, generous portions, and they give back to the community! And you'll even get the odd meal thrown free in courtesy of the boss! Best fish in town!

Great fish and chips again from Kennedy’s. Lovely buttery haddock and non-greasy chips. A problem with the order via Just Eat, they didn’t have the cod roe I ordered - they called me, sorted out a refund and threw in some extras as a goodwill gesture. Great customer service and way better food than other local alternatives we’ve tried.

Always passed this place whilst driving or stopping at traffic lights so decided to give it a go! I wasn’t disappointed the chips were lovely chunky chips and the Fish (COD) had a lovely batter... reminded me of the 70’s .. big portions definitely will be ordering from here again. A little more pricey but really worth it! If your a lover of Fish n chips try this place out you will love it!

Just came home and realised that my tartar sause I paid for is already not up the usual standard... just so you people know todays date is 10 12.2021. On the tratar sauce it says best before 07.12.2021... photo attached

Banging fresh and chunky chips. Some of the best in the area! Downside is a lot of the time they close early. Even on a Friday night at 8:45pm they might be closed. 8 I mean come on Kennedys 😩

I've bought fish and chips several times from here. The fish is always fresh and the batter is lovely and crispy and you get chunky lovely fish I'm happy with the food here and will be back there soon. I will give it 5 stars

This is the best fish and chip shop in the world not just saying it the man serving is a genuinely lovely person who cares about taste and texture of the food he cooks, i would say he's a bit of a perfectionist in cooking the food perfectly i would live in that shop and eat it all day long and never get bored as all the foods are supper delicious pies sauasge in batter or a good old fish and chips. I always see him changing the oil for supper freshness and crispness and flavour the man a genius in perfectly cooking the food and easy on the eye to such a lovely man everyone should go and buy food from there as this business owner needs to stay he's amazing at cooking his food every time to top perfection you will not be disappointed food is full of flavour and so more-ish trust me.

Tried Kennedy’s as I wanted to get Fish and Chips from a dedicated shop rather than the kebab shop. Very tasty chips, larger cuts but very more-ish! Haddock tastes beautiful as well as the scampi and all very reasonably priced. My only gripe is that the batter was a little crispy, but I will definitely come back again 👍🏻

Not bad but they need to wrap there chips in the right wrapping paper as the chips become mushy all crushed together

I’ve recently moved to the area and have had takeaways from here a few times now - the BEST fish and chips I’ve had in ages. Really generous portion sizes and the owners are so friendly! Definitely recommend the haddock 😋

Got cod and chips from here tonight , 1st time in ages as bad experiences previously at these premises but new owners recently and it was EXCELLENT... Large cut fresh chips and lovely batter on the well cooked fish , most impressed

Amazing food, well cooked and plentiful! Price wise, well, it's about exciting your taste buds and still very affordable and very very tasty! Best to come prepared with an empty stomach! :) Absolutely fantastic food and atmosphere and the chef& the quality of the food was super, with fresh ingredients being used in everything. The portion sizes were completely appropriate, and the choice of drinks was infinite! - I did not expect it to be so authentic! Wonderfully done, so much so that my friend who came along said it's the best food she's had in London! I cannot wait to revisit!

My second time I have been to Kennedys as the food quality first time was really good and it certainly didn't disappoint again this time. We ordered Cod and chips with sausage in batter and steak pie. We were given really good portion sizes and was really pleased with it. The fish was really good and non greasy which is always a good thing. All round 5* chipy

Amazing...the fish was piping hot to the last mouthful and they are a couple of miles from my house, also delicious especially the curry sauce with mushy peas, what a treat!

Best chips I've ever had! A must go if you live in the area or are passing.

Food was excellent. Although you advertise a 500ml lucozade and I’ve only received a 380ml bottle, For £2 I am rather angry about this. The only other downside was I ordered a jumbo battered sausage aswell, but it appears I’ve been given a regular sized one. Solely based on that, you’ll receive three stars, and I give second chances so I do hope next time this will be seen to. Thanks. Keep up the lovely food guys!

Absolutely lovely fish and chips but best of all is their home made pies! Butternut squash and feta pie is amazing but their home made stake an Stilton is my favourite! Large portion to!
