Dilber Kebab in Barnet

I called to make an order for collection which was lamb doner and pitta bread. I asked for the price the guy said £9.70. I said to him to put mayonnaise and burger sauce on top of the doner. I came to collect the food as he said 10 minutes it will take. I got the food and took it home only to find fatty hard pieces around the box from the doner and the wrong sauces which he put (chilli and garlic). I was contemplating in buying from there as the prices in there are overly expensive. He gave me burnt doner pieces that tasted like he just got it out the freezer and the box had fatty oil pieces that were pealing off from the box. It was disgusting and had to be thrown in the bin. Never getting food from there again and it was the worst doner kebab I’ve ever bought or tasted. Wouldn’t recommend!!

I always come to this Kebab House and have a Kefte rap. Today I ordered a Shish chicken kebab in a rap instead and it was so delicious, even though I was delayed to go and collect it, the meat was still very tender. I highly recommend this place, good delicious quality food and very friendly service! Peter Barnet

My kebab was like rubber, chips tasteless.. 16 pound for dreadful food. Won’t be eating here ever again

I have been going to Dilbers for decades and used to work next door to these lads. Good quality kebabs and they are very friendly in their service both over the counter and home delivery. The only thing to improve is a refurb to the restaurant area.

Charged me £15 for just mixed donner with recooked oily chips! Disgusting customer service!

The portion size was the size of a kids meal and I think it’s ridiculous that I had to pay extra for sauce on chips and salad! Very disappointed was left still hungry by the end of the meal

Rude - the shorter guy particularly. And the lamb was such poor quality and tough, my jaw was hurting after chewing the second piece of Shish.

We dined in and thought the portions were small. 2 half skewers for a large combination kebab and we left hungry! It wasn’t value for money. Good chilli and garlic sauces..

Tasty burger 🍔 & chips , however the toilets are not maintained as the flush does not work & there is no hand wash liquid provided either. Unhygienic.

Tried their halep three times and had to bin most of it everytime. Thought it was because I was ordering late at night but 6pm on a Friday and the meat is still gristle and 100% fat. Disgusting, tough, chewy and not at all worth the money. Never seen another customer in there in my life, should have been the red flag.

So disappointed ☹️ With the smelly food I ordered it was my first time and made me so disappointed please please don’t try this at all if u wanna put your. Money in rubbish bin then you most welcome to go to this shop the food was old and smelled bad and I found something which I don’t wanna mentioned trust me I ordered two meals and only touched it for the first time the rest I left it on table and paid him after I told him everything about the food

Gave me cold food and then accused me of lying. Dry dehydrated doner and half grilled falafel. Then lied to my face treati ng me as I was a Friday night drunk.

Sadly this was the worst kebab we’ve eaten. Old rice, tasteless chicken, shop bought Nan breads, tasteless sauce. Inedible!!

I tried there fish supper, it was excellent value, the cod was cooked to perfection! Chunky fresh cooked cod, cooked while you wait,don't try the rest, try the best!

I cannot recommend this place I am afraid. The quality of the chicken and lamb shish is so poor that it is chewy and lumpy. Good quality shish would never be like this. The cleanliness of the shop is questionable, the hygiene also and an outdated interior. I will not be buying again.

Been coming here since I was a kid and have never been disappointed. Genuinely nice people, always happy to say hello and serve nice food quickly. Fantastic after a night out, don't bother with McDonald's just round the corner as these guys are the best in High Barnet!!!

Best fish and chips in London. I know my fish and chips having lived in Yorkshire. I travel far and wide.. All the way to the seaside to find me a quality chippy. Most places in London are no good. This is the real deal. Fresh fish every time. Fried fresh by default in front of you. If you're around New barnet/Cockfosters, you owe it to yourself to visit Popeyes.

Good food good severs everything good

Very friendly people, great light batter for the fish and the doner kebab wasn't very greasy. Chips were fantastic tasted homemade. The portion sizes are very good for the kebab and fish and chips. Will be going back there. Oh and unlike some similar places they don't mind if you use AMERICAN Express!!!

Just ordered a large chicken Donner and paid £1.10 extra for an ‘extra large’ and I’m sure I got an extra small. £7.80 down and starving.

Lamb shish is to fat and chewy, they using lamb thinks instead lamp filet. Chicken shish was good. Service good as well.

Brilliant chippy and best kebab takeaway in North London!!

This is a new experience for me, to have a large lamb doner kebab and still feel hungry! Smaller than expected, by far, and meat a bit on the gristly side. Tasty enough, though, with good salad and sauce. Pleasant premises, convenient location and friendly staff.

Moody and temperamental service. Manager was rude without any cause. If you can, find another place to eat. Also, not the cleanest. If it were possible to give no stars, I would.

Doner is so dry that couldn't finish and had to sent the meal back to kitchen. But what upset me that staffs dont want to hear about poor quality food they serve. They talked about high quality meat. I will never visit this place.

Staff very welcoming and polite. Seating is reasonable and there is a wide range of succulent meals which are extremely delicious in my opinion. However it is a little pricey.

Fantastic. Most perfect perfect Donner kebab, perfect amount of grease to bread to meat ratio. Plus perfect soggy lettuce and none crunchy tomatoes. PERFECT FOR A 2AM MEAL OR A ROMANTIC SETTING.

This used to be a really good kebab house but standards have fallen noticeably in recent years both in terms of food quality and service. Pity as I really liked the place in the past. Sorry guys but you need to pull your socks up if you ar going to get more than two stars 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nice fish n chips at great prices

After getting my order wrong and being 1 meal less than i ordered i rang bk to ask where my other meal we ordered and charged for was I was told by an extremely rude man on the phone who then put me onto another extremely rude man that I never placed the order that was missing although I had receipt in front of me showing they had charged me 4 it. I was told no one would be coming with my meal that was missing as it's £10 minimum delivery order so would be charged for it. Then told me there driver has said no he won't be coming just to bring 1 meal. So unprofessional I was absolutely disgusted with the lack of customer service!!! Won't use again!!!

Avoid! Overcharged and told no chicken donnor avaliable, but it was. Depends who you know!

Definetly need a refurb. Everything look so old and tired. The only good point is that is open late!!

Good food prompt service friendly staff

This chippy has really improved in the last year, much better chips than 'chippers' up by cockfosters these days. Also the donner kebab is 100% the best I have had this side of the river. Highly recommended...Only thing that could be better is if they would deliver.

Tasty Doner Kebab, but was shocked that they put 50p surcharge on my bill for using my credit card, without informing me beforehand.

A great place for good kebabs and burgers. Staff polite and welcoming. Good food and well priced. Definitely worth a visit. Only problem is parking.
