First time , great atmosphere with live music

Saturday afternoon visit to meet some friends. Bar was busy, seats outside were not comfortable and no outside heating. Inside was loud, music very loud, could not hear ourselves talk. Not for us, ceol agus craic was missing. Better suited to a sat night out, if I didn’t want any conversation. Staff were nice but not a great visit.

Went here for St. Patricks Day, great atmosphere and great Guinness! They often have live music, the bar is how you expect and irish pub to be.

first time and last time pub was very quiet yet staff still couldn't bring themselves to say hello or thank you or even make eye contact whilst serving.

Went on a Saturday night, first time I have been and it was a great atmosphere! Good service and the band playing git the crowd buzzing. Definitely come again

Guinness is great. Staff are brilliant and provide excellent service. The building and interior is great. Absolutely despair the volume in which they choose to play thier live music. Cannot hold any sort of social conversation. It's pretty obnoxious and so too is some of the customers who indulge in it. Music is fine. Volume is unbearable.

I really liked going here but I feel that I am being priced out, they are now charging around £7 for a Guinness. If you go to another pub around the corner it's under £4 Don't think I'll be going again unfortunately.

The Irish stew was a rip off £17 for carrot and potato soup with 4 small pieces of meat . Would not recommend Kennedy to anyone

Great bar...very busy when we went but well worth a visit if in Altrincham.

Good atmosphere, and zero options

Didn't have food but menu looked nice. Vegan options as well. Had 2 lovely pints of Guinness and enjoyed the atmosphere. It gets very busy but we managed to find a seat. Enjoyable pub.

Worst Irish bar in the history of the whole of Ireland

Poor choice of beer and even the Guiness isn't that good which is surprising for an Irish pub If you are not fussy on beer then good price on happy hour at least and staff are friendly

It's my go to for Buffalow wings and Guinness. My partner is from Dublin and loves this pub hidden gem.

Really nice workers I’ve been twice they have my favourite juice called mi wadi ITS NOT YOUR WADI ITS MI WADI that’s there advertisement very funny and gold and mint crisp dairy milk chocolate also the mi wadi is blackcurrant not orange 🐧I’m talking about the deli btw it’s not updated yet

I came to Altrincham for the bank, as HSBC have closed most branches around the city. I decided to make a morning of it and have a wander around. I happened upon Kennedy’s and received the friendliest and warmest service I have ever received. I didn’t get the lady’s name but she had redish/blondish hair and was sweeping up outside as I entered. We chatted, she made me laugh, she gave me ideas for things to do and gave me directions. The whole experience as lovely and refreshing. Also, the Guineas is top notch! 👌🏼 Looking forward to my next visit!

Best bar in Alty. Good atmosphere and great Guinness. Only gripe is I’m sure they should (legally) offer ear defence considering they play Irish music at volume 1000. Other than that absolutely love the place.

Absolutely cracking place. The Guinness is to die for. Great food too. The Kennedy's burger is delicious and the chicken burger just as good. Skin on fries with the cheese and chilli topping made our meal complete. The icing on the cake however was Callum behind the bar. Worked his socks off at lunch time and maintained that smile and positive, friendly, polite welcoming manner. Callum my friend you are a credit to Kennedy's thank you for your wonderful service. great Guinness, at a great price.

19/05/24: had a lovely evening with good friends celebrating a return to Altrincham for the evening. Having lived in Altrincham 1991-2007 I have seen many changes and tonight it was so good to be back enjoying some of the old and some of the new bars and pubs. This afternoon had to be another well poured pint of Guinness! 13/02/23: good service and a great pint of Guinness, as usual. Very chilled atmosphere, but it was mid lunch and on a weekday. Came for a quick drink, while walking our boy! Lovely pint of Guinness, friendly staff and being dog friendly is a huge bonus. Kennedy's is a good location in the heart of Altrincham and was setting up for St. Patrick's Day on the 17th.

It's OK..Great idea of live music but venue too small for it

Visited on Good Friday and the place was rocking. Managed to get a table for everyone, atmosphere, music, drinks, and service were all amazing!! Only negative was the Baby Guiness shots were incredibly small, and yes I know it's a shot but it was served in what looked like a thimble.

Best bar in Altrincham, great atmosphere and the live music gives this place something different to others. Staff are lovely, always enjoy going here with friends.

This place is a rip off same drinks and different prices every time food £10 for the smallest portion I have ever had when we started to eat I thought it was the started very disappointed and recommend to ovoid this place everyone left feeling like we had spent a lot of money for nothing. I can't put how much I spent because every round of drinks where priced different

Lovely pint on a Tuesday night. Good old Irish tunes playing in the background. Would love to be in here when the place is in full swing. Would say it would be some craic. Staff were really nice and apologetic that they were not serving food. Which I totally understand it was a Tuesday night and I was just asking on the off chance. And only £4.50 a pint. Would definitely come back. It’s just a short dander to the ice arena. Giants fans take note.

Pub is nice, staff ok, got Irish stew, the portions were very disappointing, ask for more potatoes, we must of had one potato between 2 people! Then they overcharged on the meal! So not impressed on first visit.

Really great atmosphere in this pub we visited while the rugby was on yesterday. Staff were so friendly. The live music was absolutely brilliant . The food was better than average pub grub we had Guinness onion rings which were really nice . Wings were good and burger ok. If I’m back in Manchester I would head straight to this bar. It attracts a nice fun crowd.

Really fun lively atmosphere. Staff behind the bar were lovely. We were a large group in late on a Friday evening. Even though they were run off their feet, the staff here still really smiley and helpful.

The Guinness was great! Live music which sounded really good, there were some small cubby holes where it was a bit quieter but otherwise lots of space in and outside, everyone having a great time and service was really fast despite how busy it was.

Friendly Irish bar with live music some days. Tables outside for fine weather days. Plenty of selection of beers and other drinks and of course Guinness on tap. Place well decorated with some interesting framed photos. Opposite the famous Altrincham market. Off street parking nearby

OMG..! For a Monday night in Altrinham.. Abso fab tea time 'sesh' with Emma behind the bar.. So attentive to customers needs.. Customers soooo.. Friendly.. Was only planning on staying for one pint but the 'oirish.. Craic...' was so wonderful that we ended up staying for four pints each.. Shame no real ale but neck oil beer very tasty.. Carlsberg available for lager drinkers.. Deffo wanna return...

friendly little Irish bar in Altrincham

Bar is great, but the Guinness is very poor despite them shifting gallons of the stuff. Need to get Guinness in for a quality check and tips on getting the basics right.

I love this bar, the staff are fantastic, the atmosphere is brilliant.
