Kelvedon King Fish & Chips and Kebab in Braintree

Ordered their special kebab for £25 plus chips, curry sauce and extra pitta bread. The chips were old chips they’d cooked again and were rock hard! The meat is meant to be chicken shish, lamb shish and kofta meat. What they gave us was 4 small pieces of chicken and 4 small burnt pieces of lamb and then covered it all with a ridiculous amount of cheap kofta meat! I called up and told the guy 6 times they’ve given us burnt food but mainly they’ve tried to save money by just giving us kofta meat! He kindly offered to send a small box of chicken and lamb with the lamb cut so small it was a waste of time. The tiny pot of chilli sauce also made no difference to the meal. I mean if you’re driving all the way back to us why try and save money yet again? Waste of money.

Been here numerous times after a night out, always end up waiting 20 minutes in the shop even when ordering 1nr diner wrap in advance. Food is very good once received, but prepare for a wait.

Kelvedon KING I called the shop 15 minutes after receiving the order that cost us over £26 for two large kebabs and 1 portion of chips, the kebab came and I found a black hair in my food as I bit into it and my partner found a smaller hair in his food I have blonde hair and my partner has dark blonde hair! Called the shop and explained we are loyal customers and this hasn’t happened before but we have had to throw out the food after our first two mouthfuls we would like a full refund as we have had to throw the food away, the manager was very rude and said because we threw the food away he isn’t issuing us a refund at all and there’s nothing he can do, before we threw the food I took a photo of the hair and I said I can show him prove he was not wanting to see the picture he was really rude and shouting at me that he is not giving any refund not even a partial refund! KELVEDON KING KEBAB HAS VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE WHEN DEALING WITH ISSUES CLEARLY AND HAS GONE AGAINST THE POLICY THEY HAVE ON THE WEBSITE! So now we have no kebab and down by £26👍🏻

Excellent as always delivery so quick food hot fresh and tasty would thoroughly recommend excellent value for money

The Kelvedon King is a solid takeaway option. The staff are super polite and friendly, the food portions are generous and the food itself has been on point every time. It’s our go to for takeaway night. I would highly recommend them to friends and family.

Kebab was so not worth the money no idea what happened to this place I always liked it! Same old story with places in Kelvedon only look after the locals! Chicken was so thinly sliced and dry clearly not cooked fresh. Won’t be using them again what a waste of £30!

ive used this place quite alot, never again, 2nd time on the trot the pizza was cold and delivery over 20 minutes late, dont get me wrong the pizza was nice but id like some heat in it, doubt they will read this review but if they do please buck your ideas up please

This place used to be nice what has happened 2 times I have ordered recently my fish has been grey, the batter soggy. It is not nice let alone my most recent order half of my order was forgetton so everyones food got cold this was not good enough and no apology. Really disappointing- the pizzas are greasy and I would prefer when staff are selecting salads for kebabs that gloves are worn.

This is the third time we’ve ordered home delivery & every time it’s arrived on time, excellent delivery service & the food is really good, great value for money & great portion sizes. Keep up the good work as you must be giving the surrounding villages a run for there money👍

We order from Kelvedon King at least once a week but sometimes more frequently. The food is always absolutely top notch. The chicken kebabs are out of this world as are the fish, chips & other items. The owner and all of the staff are so friendly and do absolutely everything that they can to ensure that the food is amazing each and every time. Kelvedon King is the best takeaway I have ever had!!! When you combine great food and amazingly friendly staff it is a winning combo!! Will be going there again tomorrow night!

I cannot say enough about kelvedon king a find a year ago, I tried the scampi and chips my partner had doner kebab both meals very tasty great portions, chilli sauce was the best we have ever had. Since then the combination kebab, meat and chips, meat and cheese have all been tried and are a very high standard. It's a weekly must for us. The staff are always very friendly and cannot do enough to make sure your food and service is always outstanding. WELL DONE KELVEDON KING

For the second year running Kelvedon King provided the food for a Race Night in our village hall. Again, everyone at the event said the food was excellent. The fish and chicken were well-cooked and tasty and the chips were light and not at all...

We have had several takeaways from Kelvedon Kings Fish and Chips. Food is always freshly cooked, piping hot and staff are friendly. We haven't tried the kebabs but the portions of chips are enormous. Good value for money

really nice food sold here chips are banging the best around he DONT use cheap oil you can deffently tell. the fish is spot on really fresh fish and i have had alot of fish in the past..before these guys had this chip shop there...

Large Cod in batter, chips and mushy peas! Enormous portions at a great price. Cooked fresh to order and so piping hot to take home. Staff are really pleasant and very efficient. Well worth a visit !
