Poor sauce although meat was reasonable.

I think you’ll find it’s closed down been closed for a week no sign it just says back in five minutes ha ha watch out for the other one they are rip-offs £42.50 for two males

Took order and cash then cancelled still took money 4-5 days for a refund!

I called to pick up a takeaway a few days ago and sat outside a closed restaurant. I rang to see what was happening and ten minutes later a car pulled up with my meal in a box .I wish I had of left before he arrived, it was a microwaved mess.I put it straight in the bin will not be back .

Great takeaway tonight everything was hot and very tasty

Meal tonight was below average after waiting 90 minutes for it pakora was soggy not crispy how it should be Main dishes cold popadums all broken !

Avoid !!! Called in my order and was told to come at 5.30. Arrived at 5.30, lights off door locked. Called them & the girl said she will get in touch with them ?? So we then went to the Chinese instead. No idea where the food is being cooked as it’s certainly not in the shop, shocking customer service. AVOID.

Called my order in at 5.50 and was told it would be ready to collect at 7. Arrived at the shop at 7 and no sign of the food just an old bloke telling me the food was coming from Jedburgh but he didn't know when. 7.30 another bloke arrived with the food and the worst attitude in the world so so rude. Food was OK but I won't be back as their customer service was SHOCKING!

Made an order online for my party of 10, price coming to over £120, waited 90 mins for the order to arrive and then rang up to ask where the food was only to be told they didn’t want to process the order because they were busy. I then drove to Kelso to collect food from another restaurant and upon passing this restaurant I noticed it wasn’t busy at all, was lied to. Don’t waste your money here!

Lovely tasty meal couldn’t fault any of it only the prices I felt for what you got were expensive but not a regular think was a birthday treat and we did enjoy it

Waited an hour and a half while the food was cooked in Jedburgh and delivered to Kelso shop. Tikka masalas tasted like tomato soup, vile

Waited over 1.5 hours for food which appeared to be delivered from somewhere else (other reviews confirmed this) food was cold, poppadoms soft, cold sauces were hot!! The food was nice however would not recommend this restaurant.

Order was wrong. What did come was bland and tasteless Food wasn't even prepared in the same town which would explain the long wait. This was our second and last chance of using this takeout.

Ordered online from Kelso Tandoori and waited over an hour and thirty minutes to find out they made a mistake with the order: it was made in Jedburgh and then driven to Kelso. Not acceptable!!!

Definitely the worse curry I have ever had. I highly recommend this place if you like your curry with extra puddles on your plate!

Sounds like a clash of cuisines but tastes wonderful. Not too hot and the little green chillies are optional once on the plate but just great with them. Smashing and I've tried the new one in town but find this one takes the prize for flavour. Takeaway only.

Just had a takeaway from the Kelso tandorri and cannot fault it garlic chicken tikka was amazing full of flavour and the sauces both different (korma and jaipuri was great could taste all the different spices will definitely be back.

FIRST OF ALL AND MOST IMPORTANT IS THAT THEIR PHONE DOES NOT WORK. ADVERTISED NUMBER NOT AVAILABLE EVEN THOUGH IT IS EVEN ON THEIR WINDOW. Nothing is real about this restaurant. Tonight as we dropped our daughter to work nearby I sent my husband in for King Prawn Marsala with rice and some raita sauce. It cost me £17.00 pound. We drove home which is about 15 miles away and I opened my food. I don't know what these things were in my meal but they were NOT King Prawns. They looked like they were from an animals inside and had neither the taste or smell of prawns. I had my husband taste them as I have allergies and could have been seriously ill if I had taken a bite. As for the raita sauce it was like a cup of orange sugar- just awful. Of course we tried to ring but no answer and no way of even checking what the hell they had put in my meal. So it has gone in the dustbin and anyone thinking of buying from this place just beware of what you are eating.

Best veggie curry, proper fresh veggies in it and tasty sauce. Fab side dishes and fast service. Can't fault the new Indian takeaway.

Bland chicken pakora, frozen samosas didnt try any of the currys so they may have been nice idk

Ordered Chicken Ceylonese - which is a hot dish with lots of coconut (I've eaten them for decades). This particular version had no coconut in it whatsoever and was extremely mild and sweet. The sauce most definitely came from a jar and having spoken with others, I suspect that whatever you order this is exactly what you'll get.I also ordered a Garlic Nan, and aside from being so tiny, it tasted like a damp tent smells - disgusting. Both dish and nan hit the bin, pronto!Frankly, I have certainly had better from a cheap supermarket.Service was very smiley - perhaps too smiley, if you know what I mean.Best avoided. They need to learn that we actually know what real curry is!

We get a takeaway from these guys most Mondays so, as we are fussy, they must be good. I usually have the same things - prawn dhansak, chilli rice and a plain naan. They do chilli rice for me even though it's not on the menu. My husband tends to have something different each time and has not had a dish he didn't like, although his favourite is their tarka dhal. I'm salivating as I write this :)

Disappointed you never know what you are going to get with this place , sometimes good sometimes very bad . Ordered a lamb korai it was beef also ordered chicken biriyani chicken old and dry and barely a vegetable on the sauce maybe a pea . Never ever consistent never going back .

Eaten from here twice now, and both meals were good. One of the better Indian Takeaways in the area.

Review from Juliet Fuke. I have had a few take aways from here in past, average, but after being totally ignored last night (they obviously don't want the custom) will not bother returning! Total lack of customer service, waited ten minutes, was seen by two men in back chopping up stuff, no smile, no eye contact. They looked scruffy, wearing dirty clothes, no aprons, old jeans and grubby tea shirts, that was enough! Didn't look clean. Shame no competition in kelso Also food bills have been different amounts previously for same items. Will be trying Coldstream in the future.

I was dying for an indian meal, and this one provided quantity, and pretty good quality for this American customer!

Stumbled upon this takeaway through family and we will not use any other staff are very friendly and remember you when you visit again good at recommendations fresh food very tasty

Had three takeaways during the past week from this takeaway restaurant. Always ready when they said it would be. Quality of food good to very good every time - excellent flavoursome food. Only small gripe I'd have is about the size of the portions - I felt they were just a wee bit on the small size. Also the nan bread is fairly small compared to the usual size of a nan.Having said that, I knew that after the first time - yet still went back two more times in the week I was in Kelso. So a pretty good recommendation really.

what a fantastic wee Indian the food is always fresh and very very tasty the staff super and collections are ready on time.. bonus.

Worst Indian I've ever had. Rice was dry, chicken tikka masala was horrible, sauce looked like tomato puree and tasted much the same and to top it off it was cold. Definitely won't be back. Total waste of money as it basically all went in the bin and then had to go for another takeaway straight after

Can honestly say this was the worst Indian meal we have ever had. Reasonable price but the Korma was watery and tasteless. The chicken pakora looked like it had been booked and was served with limp onions. The popodoms were served with onion chutney but it was only diced onions... no sauce. Overall awfull.

Great food and you can order it by phone then pop for a pint. Comprehensive menu; great Naan bread. Best Indian in town!

I bought a lamb sag from here. The proprietor is a lovely man but the lamb was overcooked and the sauce was bland

Lovely people food very tasty but sadly stone cold we only had a 30 second walk from where we were staying and had no means of heating it up . Also onion bargie was tiny what happened to tennis sized bargies .

After reading reviews though happy days a nice Indian meal on a Saturday night while we stayed at the caravan ordered our food drive down for it very clean place very small and was created by a very nice gentleman can't knock the service very polite so away we went .

After reading several reviews, we ordered. And needless to say it all went in bucket. Mixed grill was like dog food, naan bread was awful, as was pakora. 2 stars because there's nothing to compare it to, but Edinburgh has so much to offer with Indian food. 1 plus. It was real chicken and not the pre packed 1.5 kilo bags from the cash and carry.

A fantastic Indian takeaway with top quality food. Well worth a visit. The Lamb Dansak was restaurant quality and the Chilli naan was top notch.

After struggling to find somewhere to eat late on we stumbled across the kelso tandoori,ordered a chicken chilli jalfrezi and I can honestly say it was one of the nicest takeaways ive had,if youd ordered it in a good restraint you would not have been disappointed,very good and nice staff too, A ++++++

We enjoyed some great take aways from here. Highly recommended if you like Indian takeaway. Good customer service. Wonderful people. The place for Indian takeway in this part of the borders.

We ordered three chicken main courses for take away and were all very dissappointing. Without a doubt these are made using pre made jar type commercial sauces. You can tell by the sweet aftertaste of the currys and the fact that the three different currys that we had all tasted the same. Will not be going back. Very dissappointing.

Great little takeaway in Kelso, really good food. When visiting the town we ordered our food and found a pub to while away the time while the order was being cooked. The food was waiting for us when we returned only 30 minutes later, what service! Very good nan bread and curry, will definitely use here again when in town.

Stopping in Kelso for the week an Indian on at least one of the nights was a must.Came here for a take away and was pleasantly surprised, fresh tasty curry, side dish and breads of the highest order. Each dish having its own distinct signature (unlike some where all the sauce is from the same pot) we had Pathia, Dopiaza, tikka Masala and a Pasanda all were great.We ordered garlic and Kema nan breads which were both lush....

This is a great little takeaway. The food is always fresh and tastes like real BIR food. We love to eat here.

Was in Kelso for a week and can highly recommend this little indian take away .Curries A1 .Order a good 30 mins before pick up as everything takes a little time we had two excellent take aways.

Been here a few times, for a small town this is a true privilege to have an Indian take away that's this good!Personal favourites are the chicken Naga and the Special Chana chicken! Very friendly staff! Five stars from me!

A great indian takeaway. They have a tiny kitchen but they can sure cook up some great food. Due to the size there is always a half hour wait but it is well worth it. there tarka dahl is the best ive ever had.

Never tried here before, so we tried it for a Friday night takeaway.....welcoming staff who were very talkative and showed a real interest in the customers. Good selection on the menu, we usually always stick to a set meal which they do for £20 which is for 2 people including starters, mains, side, naan and rice.Very tasty and good portion size Really impressed will be back!

An excellent near hidden gem of Kelso Indian takeaway. We keep going back to this one! It is consistent and they will adjust the strength to suit your tastes. The menu is quite extensive with a wide range of options. Best in the Borders area.....We would rate it 5 out of 5 ......

Was very impressed , it's the first time I have tried this take away. Tried the Chicken jalfrezi and it was delicious, spot on. Shame it does not have an eat in section but will defiantly be back.

Phoned order through and collected in 30 mins. Food ready on arrival, very well spiced but not too hot.Chicken jalfrezi and prawn bhuna were both very good.

Working my way through the menu and every meal has been tasty and enjoyable. Unfortunately only a takeaway as would be excellent to try their food in a restaurant environment too

Best curry house in Kelso, great tasting and fast service.

One of the most pathetic jakfrezi I ever had bland and no flavour full of onions! Very greasy and very expensive, this place has to be one of the most expensive in the town one curry rice and nan, a tiny nan the size of my palm was over £12 that's disgusting and shocking

we are local and have used this tandoori for years. its always really great food, not too expensive and the staff are lovely and polite! i have no idea why anyone would give this place a bad review! much much much better than the existing Indian restaurant in town, in fact its a shame the Kelso tandoori doesn't open a sit in eatery in the town as well.

Had the odd takeaway from here, 1inch thick grease, on top of the container! Rice again very greasy and cooked with frozen veg, not fresh veg, tasted disgusting! Lamb was tough, I suspect it was actually beef! But I'm not sure! The spice was ok in the bhuna, but the dansak was far too sweet, and no tangy! Overall too expensive meal for two came To £28 that's London prices
