The experience started as soon as you walked through the door. Rude banter to all of our group. We knew what to expect and our waitresses, Farah and Hannah were very good at their job. Laughed so much from start to finish. Loved the personal hats. Food tasty, chicken a little dry but apart from that couldnt fault it. We were the only group there which meant we had all the attention which I think I would prefer. Would definitely recommend and go back again.

Had such a laugh at Karen's Diner Barnet, great service and such a good vibe. Husband was picked on which made it so much better. Ashley and her team were Amazing, will definitely go again.

10 of us visited Karen's Diner Saturday 13th April for dinner, we also stayed in the Hadley Hotel for the full Karen's experience. This included breakfast. We had a fantastic time and spent the whole time laughing. Neeve and George who were our incredibly rude and insulting staff (this is the theme of the Karen experience) where hilarious and really made our stay so great. How they kept straight faces is beyond me. They made sure that we were entertained the whole time. Our rooms were perfect and spotlessly clean once we had picked up the debris that the staff had sabotaged our rooms with (again part of the Karen's experience). I would definitely recommend a visit here but it is most suited to adults with a great sense of humor! So if you want an alternative fun evening/morning head here! Neeve and George thanks for being so brilliantly funny, we had an amazing time!

Our party of.10 had a brilliant time Niamh and George were excellent , we had a great experience very funny evening . The breakfast was very good we would definitely come again ,look after those two members of thevteam they were great

We went to Karen’s diner on a Sunday lunch with a friend. We have a good sense of humour and we are capable of laughing at ourselves which I think is a must! We couldn’t stop laughing from beginning to end! We were terribly welcomed by Farah and George. They were both fantastic actors and played their horrible rude roles so well! Farah is so clever and has an extraordinary sense of improvisation. Friends told me the food was average but I took the royal Karen and it was really nice! Crisps are nice too! Can’t wait to go back soon!

Went to Karren’s for our daughter’s 13th birthday, the staff are great, toned it done just enough to make it appropriate for her age but still enough to shock! Had a great time food was very enjoyable. Look forward to going back with more friends and family. Good Job Karren!!

Honestly we had the best time, the food & cocktails were amazing! The staff made this restaurant, what an absolute amazing bunch. Great experience, can't wait to return. Havent laughed so much in ages, thank you 👏🏼

Great insulting experience for my daughter’s 12th birthday. Be prepared for swearing and insults but very funny. In the craziness I wish I’d have left a bigger tip as looking back the effort and experience that Farah and George gave us deserved one! Highly recommend if it’s your thing. The burgers were really good and it’s reasonably priced. Only losing stars for the atmosphere as unfortunately we were the only ones in there at 2pm on a Saturday. Such a shame as I’d expect it to be a lot busier.

We stayed and ate last night and was not looked at very well by the fantastic niamh . Funny farah and dry hannah . The room wasn't trashed for us when we got there so waited while they sugared the bed . Hung loo roll round the curtains pole and wrote obscenities on the mirrors . Amongst alot of other stuff .. so we're told in sweaty terms to get to the bar . Food was good . Staff were hilariously rude and insulting and the bed was comfortable . We played games all night .so a good value for money . There were 4 of us .brekkie next morning was served with manners by the hotel staff . So much better than the 1 hour rushed experience in Birmingham when we visited

First time at Karen’s. From start to finish we were entertained. All staff are hilarious, Farrah was the star of the show for us. As soon as we walked in the door we were ignored. Asked what are we doing there!! The banter just kept coming. Belly laughs. I’m not going to say too much, I don’t want to spoil your experience. Yes, there is a lot of swearing. That’s what it’s about. There were 4 of us, 2 mature ladies, 2 not as mature ladies. There is a ‘rules’ sheet about what can’t be said by staff or customers, which is great. Although, having looked up what Karen’s is about, I was expecting anything and would have laughed it off. We were served immediately, and the food and drinks were very quickly delivered and tasty. The buttermilk chicken burger was delish. Onion rings melt in the mouth. We are definitely returning, just wished we had been before. We were able to park in the street next to the restaurant. Food is basic. The experience was entertaining and full of laughs. The only feedback would be, DO NOT THROW THE MENUS ON THE FLOOR!!! This is unhygienic as these menus then go on the table that food is eaten on!!! Yes, it's Karen's diner, but common sense and health and safety, should tell you that things to be placed on a dining table must not be thrown on the floor !!

Had a great laugh. Of course I was picked on. Was expected. Ashley was really good at.keeping us all entertained and I'm sure my rendition of spin doctor will ring in people ears for weeks to come 😅 people offended by this or upset about kids. That's why they go. It's their choice. But the food and cocktails are amazing! Wagyu beef burger melted in the mouth and the wings were exceptional. Definitely going to go back and try other diners!

Shocking. We have a great sense of humour but just don’t get this place. What we didn’t like to see was the amount of young children that got abused and were asked to swear. All language was used. Very poor humour. This place won’t last long!

We had two 11 year old who wanted to do karens diner for there birthday we arrived at 630 very nervous restaurant was not very busy but got busier about 730 The safe were amazing lived up to the karen's reputation but its was all Branter. Please don't go if you offended easily as the staff Are brutal but in an hilarious way. We had 2 picky eaters. Both meals were eaten and the kids loved it I had the loaded burger fries which were amazing Food was filling and lovely Best evening I had in ages

Great 'insulting' experience from 'welcome' and banter from Niamh and George. Though service even with 'insulting' could be more on point even with keeping with the Karen's Diner USP. Lack luster and disappointing food though, post reviews of other locations and especially from hearing about Karen's Diner from friends in Australia - my colleagues royal chicken burger was dry, my manager's birthday burger was lacking a onion ring even though mentioned on the menu description, and my vegan burger was just a thin patty with a slice of vegan cheese , a small leaf of romaine lettuce and a small dollop of vegan mayo in a regular burger bun (not a brioche bun as per description) which was crispy on top and my burger was dry inside as if our burgers had sat under heat lamps on pass for a while before being collected and dumped on end of our table or empty next table for us to collect ourselves. Plus thin french fries were very greasy. Overall, great 'insulting' experience but would give food a miss at this place.

Definitely not a place for those easily offended!! The atmosphere here is amazing!! We didn't stop laughing all night. Some of our party were singled out for some light hearted abuse. Farrah is absolutely brilliant. She really knows how to interact with the diners and really keeps in character!! The food was really quite tasty. Beware if you are a vegetarian!! You will definitely get singled out 🤣. Overall a really great night out with lots of laughs

My deposit wasn't deducted from my bill, 5 weeks later I'm emailing & being given the run around, apparently it's happens all the time according to another branch I spoke to!

The food was nice enough, the service was funny however a bit too much swearing. They made people play a game right in the middle of them eating so their food would have been freezing by the time they got chance to eat it. The diner was more kids than adults so all the swearing seemed overly inappropriate.

I loved tonight celebrating my 66th birthday here, thanks to my son and his wife. It was a total surprise and a very different experience but I loved every minute. Food was great, other customers were great but the waitresses were in need of customer care training lol. Still can't believe what I said and did, was so funny and I thoroughly recommend a visit. The waitresses were actually very good and maybe training would be wasted. Am sure if they fancied a change they would easily get a job in Dagenham.

They wouldn’t let me and my Nan enter the restaurant because we had supposedly body shamed a member of staff for saying “speccy” to a one of them, But beforehand they had technically body shamed my nan for being old we had tried to joke about her being my mother but they continued making comments about her age we where told to leave but we had thought the worker was joking but then she said she was serious so we had left it took us a couple of mins to figure out they had body shamed my nan i wouldn’t recommend going here there was no one at the table’s except one couple and therefore they have lost a valuable customer

Karen's Diner in Barnet has really yummy food! The menu has lots of tasty options. The place is lively and fun, making it great for hanging out with friends. The staff does bad things, like making the atmosphere really hostile.. They even make you wear superhero caps, giving a comic book vibe to the place. It's a fun touch that adds to the experience. But, here's so-good part. Some staff members can be a really bit rude and arrogant. It's cool when they misbehave. Despite this, the activities and positive vibes from the staff make up for it. The food is so good that you might look forward for the frequenrly not-so-friendly behavior. In short, Karen's Diner is a tasty spot with a fun atmosphere. If you can look past the staff's attitude, you're in for a treat! Always book the place in advance and pay some money to book it Notice to management drop the price greedy idiots. Too expensive.

The service lived up to expectations. It was ridiculously amusing to have waitresses being off hand, unhelpful and funny. My daughter loved it & that I was the butt of most of the jokes. Food was good but I did feel nervous to ask for condiments. It was a game of dare and hope, that the abuse wasn't going to be too bad. A really really enjoyable experience.

The place is a great laugh. You have to be open minded and take any insults that may come. Farah is amazing and she really makes you have a good time and puts all the effort in. Local street parking is available.

Booked for my 13 yr old kid. To make it short. We had an amazing time, all.the staff where rude but in a pleasant way, food basic but very tasty, it's a wonderful experience. Just be aware, you have to be a bit open minded.. Thank you so much for the great time

5 star food, 5 star service 5 star banter and abuse…. Got there at 19:15 for our booking, and we’re seated immediately. The place was packed, and despite this, and everything going on, we were served so so quickly. The food is dirty and delicious all at the same time. The banter is quite strong, so if you are woke then don’t go here unless you need to be unwoken! Otherwise, if you are a good sport you will have a good time

1 hour of compete laugh. Never been there and didn't know what to expect, but oh my God such a lovely night after a busy day. Feel so relaxed and can't stop smiling. Luke you have to move to Holywood you are the best actor.

Funny for all of a few mins.. I recently brought my friend here for her 40th birthday. We knew the score and was well aware of what Karen's diner is all about. However, the restaurant was empty so we was the only party in there. I think this is the problem .The roasting started as soon as we opened the door, expected, however we were not given any time to look at the menu properly at all as we were being pulled to get up on the floor to do antics. This resulted in us not being able to see the menu properly at all and we ordered in a rush. They had run out of the Buttermilk chicken that myself & my partner wanted and so we were left with just grilled chicken. Not a biggie but when the food came out I literally had the smallest fillet I have ever seen. Infact I'm sure it was a chicken breast cut in half. It was vile, I struggled to even bite into it as it was so tough, now normally I would complain ( bearing in mind we are still paying for edible food here ) but none of us felt we could even say anything as we would just get roasted for it. There was no cutlery offered, not good as my Son is on the spectrum and has sensory issues with things like this. No napkins, no sauce offered. Now I get that this restaurant is based around it's pisstake factor but not once did I think we it would affect the food & actual service of the food at all. We had driven over an hour to get here, were starving hungry and was offered seriously overpriced rubbery food. Had I known we certainly wouldn't have bothered. So the fact that we were the only table meant that the waiter & waitress sat with us the WHOLE time, we literally didn't have a moment to breathe. Not enjoyable at all. The antics were fun, well to start with then it just got boring. My Son was used as the scapegoat for the evening and took alot of criticism. I had assumed as it was my friends birthday the attention would mainly be on her but they didn't even sing Happy birthday?? The final straw was when the waitress went in my bag and then pulled out my purse and went through it all. Taking my driving licence out and then taking it to the kitchen. I get that this was a perfect excuse to find ammo but this is a serious GDPR breach and I'm shocked this is allowed!! It's not on. To summarise, i wouldn't recommend going here if you are hungry as the food is shocking and also keep anything private AWAY on not in sight as it will be rifled through. I will not be returning to this site and I wouldn't recommend at all. Especially when the restaurant is dead as you dont get a second to breathe. Came in to get a fast bit of food the waitress was very insulting so i called her a slag things soon escalated and she got a belt of my head the food was alright but they need to work on there manners.

Went to Karens Diner today , it was brilliant, funny and very entertaining!! Luke was hilarious and very quick with his insults!! The whole team made it a great experience for us ..definitely don’t go if you are of a sensitive disposition!! Would definitely recommend..hilarious afternoon.

Quirky Fun, but Pricey Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a great time at Karen’s Diner! The staff were brilliant actors, cracking jokes and staying in character the whole time. They made sure our whole group was involved and had a wonderful time! Just one hitch – prices. We knew we were paying for the show, but the quality of the food didn’t quite match up to the overall price, I was hoping for a bit more in that department. Despite that, totally recommend for a unique night out. Can't wait to go back for another round of their crazy antics! 🍔🤪

Booked this restaurant and money has been taken from my card and not refunded ,have called multiple times and was assured it would be rectified but 1 month on I still do not have a refund. Absolutely disgusting service,do not book via open table as they then have your card details.

my kids had an absolute ball - they loved the evening - however, the food was average - could 100% be improved upon . Come on Karins Diner, up your game make the food worth dining out for and customers will have a pull to return after the initial expereince has worn off.

The young girl on the door was not as involved but nevertheless deserves to be praised for her behaviour too. So worth visiting

I had an amazing time, it was a wonderful experience, the service was great and the staff was absolutely outstanding. There was this one man who was on the microphone and he was my favourite as he constantly engaged with me as well as other customers and was very interactive. He was hysterical and nice but in a Karen way. I would 100% recommend and I would definitely go back!

Was my first time at a Karen's Diner (Barnet) and had heard so much hype about these places, so thought I'd check it out. Food was absolutely brilliant when we eventually got it. Can't fault that in the slightest, however, service was VERY slack. I'd seen and heard that staff are meant to insult people A LOT but on the whole there wasn't much insulting going on, just swearing, which after quite a few f's and blinds became very annoying. The music was very loud, so much so that we couldn't even hear what each other were saying. The staff got a few people up to entertain, myself included, most of which was OK. There was a little girl, about 6/7 years old, 'entertaining' with her knowledge of swear words, of which I was quite disgusted...but that's just me! Other people may think it funny and OK to hear and see that as entertainment but not for me. Each to their own. I'm glad I visited, even if to say that I've experienced it but unsure if I would go again tbh.

Went for a birthday absolutely loved it! Niamh and Tia were our favourites, very entertaining and quick witted. The food was really nice I loved the Karen royale and my son loved his brownie, really great experience and would definitely recommend

Really really poor on all accounts, I totally understand the whole idea of bad attitude but to use such bad language in front of a 6 year old was unacceptable (not my 6 year old). There is also no need to be physical with any customer. One of the waitresses pushed my daughter and went to slap her on the cheek. They ruined the birthday cake that I had made for my daughter, and the explicit disgusting remark they wrote on the hat of a 12 year old was highly inappropriate.

Karen really lives up to the etymology of her name meaning kindness and purity. Her diner allows those on the neurodiversity spectrum to gain experience in the hospitality sector. If more places took this approach it would helpfully increase awareness and patience in others to help those in need.

We recently dined at Karen Restaurant and had a mixed experience. The standout was definitely the head waitress who provided exceptional service throughout I was not impressed with the layout of the restaurant. It felt somewhat disjointed and did not contribute positively to the overall atmosphere. The space also felt cramped and small, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, while the head waitress and the food were highlights of my visit to Karen Restaurant, the young staff and the subpar layout made it difficult for me to fully enjoy the dining experience.

We had so much fun, the staff is great! But there are only burgers and unhealty deep fried sides. I highly recommend the experience but not the food.
