Could do better with tea. And what's at the bottom powder like thing when you sip up like 3/4. Never experienced that. Cakes were good though and kids got busy with the ludo you provide was a nice feature.

Really enjoyed our visit today, great service and highly recommend the English Breakfast, desi breakfast, Matka biryani, gol gappy, mocktails and tiramisu. Great atmosphere and friendly staff 👍

A month before I visited my karak chai and had an amazing experience I tried their nehari and it was the best nehari I have ever had in uk. And the pasta last time we ordered it was with grilled chicken pieces and topped with a layer of mozzarella cheese and the sauce was like creamy white sauce with hint of tomato’s. Today I visited again with high hopes but it was very disappointing for me. They change the pasta now instead of grilled chicken pieces there was some shredded chicken and some Mozrella it was all big tomatoes pieces coming in my mouth and I wouldn’t even taste any spices in the pasta it was only tomatoes that I can taste in pasta. Secondly don’t order their smashed burger at all it’s a complete waste of money. The bun was very dry and may be old the patties were tasteless like no salt or seasoning and it was hard to take a bite it was almost like a rubber. Today was my cheat day and I do in a month so it was an utter disappointment. Only 2 star for the donuts their donuts were the best that I have ever taste in my life I really like them and would only recommend them and if nehari still taste like before then definitely that as well. But one more thing expect a long time for waiting for your order their services is very slow.

I had breakfast at Takeaway and ordered the Lahori Naan Channa. While the channa was ok, the rest of the meal was disappointing. The naan was hard and overbaked, and the boiled eggs were overcooked with hard, blackened yolks, making them inedible. I asked the staff if I could get a naan that wasn’t overcooked and freshly baked, but the girl told me, “That’s how we serve it.” She also asked about the eggs, but I didn’t see the point in saying more since I realized nothing would change. Overall, the experience was unsatisfactory. I couldn’t even finish the food and left feeling disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend it based on this visit.

The guy with glasses on the till was pathetic. The leadership is requested to ask him to keep a smile on his face and to speak properly rather than using gestures only.

This place is beautifully decorated, the lady who took our order was very polite the girl who brought our order very nice . The prices are actually good. The food was really nice will be coming back when I visit Manchester again 10 out of 10 for cleanliness and presentation

Tried it out for the first time. Excellent service. Chai was good but the omelette was the highlight. The vegetables were cut perfectly for the omelette. Highly recommend.

What an incredible place! The food is delicious (especially nihari) - it tastes exactly like the food back in Karachi, and anyone who knows food, knows that reaching a Karachiite’s standards is almost impossible. The atmosphere is lovely with beautiful desi decor, music and ludo board tables! Very unique. As for service, we had the most friendly staff serving us. A man by the name of Ali Malik was very kind and helpful, and we will definitely be coming back here as regular customers in future!

Was quiet when we arrived. Waited 35 minutes for a milkshake and tiramisu. Orders made after us were given priority. Very disappointed, tiramisu was not worth the wait.

Really enjoyed my visit! Great food great service and great value for money! The Karak Chai tea is a must and big shout out to Angie who really looked after us and was pleasant and polite despite the busy rush and being the only one on front of house! Will be back again soon :)

Most authentic Chai in manchester. Visited twice in one day.

Extremely poor service. No customer service skills. The chap didn’t even have the basics in welcoming new customers and giving us menus. The food sub standard as the turkey rashers were burnt to a crisp and eggs were also over done (see pics). The floor was filthy with food on the tiles as he brushed food off existing tables. We only noticed this as we had already ordered and sat waiting for food. He also stated food will be 20mins but then the rest of my family were waiting 40/50mins for their food. When I asked him about this he told me there’s only 1 person in back - but then that should be factored in when telling customers or atleast updating us saving my children the trip up to keep asking for basic like our J20 and appetiser drinks which don’t take anytime in giving?!? We were a family of 6 and the service was very poor.

Bad customer service and very tight on potions, ordered jam cake and custard for 2 people and gave me a little pot of custard to share between 2 people. Most dessert place fill plate with custard not this place saving on custard. Anyway will definitely not go there again.

I recently visited Karak Chai and had the pleasure of being served by Samuel. From the moment I walked in, his warm and welcoming demeanor made me feel right at home. He took the time to explain the menu and even suggested some of his favorite teas, which I truly appreciated. Samuel's genuine hospitality and attentive service elevated my experience. He was quick to refill my cup and made sure I was comfortable throughout my visit. The atmosphere at Karak Chai was cozy and inviting, largely thanks to Samuel’s friendly presence. I highly recommend stopping by for not just the delicious tea, but also for the wonderful service that Samuel provides. I’ll definitely be returning!

I am kind of a regular customer at Karak Chai and being here never disappoints me. The food is amazing and tastes similar to home. Malik served us today and he was great at his service. I Wish him luck !

When in Manchester do try this place out for breakfast. Tried french toast and Halwa puri and cholay all very tasty along with a warm karak chai.

Amazing desi nashta we had after a while in this place . Ali's customer service was lovely . We were in a bit of rush to catch a flight and asked them to be a bit quick and boy they came throught . Fresh & hot nashta( breakfast). And karak chai was amazing too. Not too sweet or vice versa. Will definitely be back.

We ate in here on Sunday had English breakfast karak chai and the most amazing nimbu pani it was refreshing and tasted delicious. Atmosphere the whole place was lit up bright wonderful to look at clean. Staff were friendly We did not have to wait long at all for our food. Will go back Again when next in Manchester.

The worst customer service experience. Waited one and half hour then asked the hijab girl about my paratha and chai she said 5 minutes then waited 10 more minutes and asked lady behind the counter about my breakfast and even she don't know about the order that its a take away or dine in😡...like seriously??? Pathetic idiots 🙄 Not recommended!!! Far betters on wilmslow road than this.

Food is pathetic and stomach is paining now. I have ordered Punugulu but it's absolutely crap I would say cheating as they made it with corn flour and maida but in their menu it's mentioned as its made with Rice flour and urad dal which is they did not . Please don't play with customers ... My humble request

My go-to place in Manchester for perfectly-spiced freshly brewed chai with an authentic and filling tasty Desi breakfast. Highly recommended :-)

The karak chai tasted very bad, its color was not black, very strange, it looked like it was two days old, but it was not two days old, at least it was a day old tea. There was a new container, it was full, but the girl who was a waitress took a cup from the old container, which was almost finished, and it was processed again and again, and it turned a strange color Absolutely zero customer service.

Karak chai wasn't anything special, but they did serve us immediately.

Pretty decor, clean and cosy. The karak chai is amazing, as are the mango and kulfi ice creams. It seems everything is made fresh in house, and it really pays off 🥭😋

I really enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Fries and doughnuts at Karak Chay; both were delicious and satisfying. The Halwa Puri, mango falooda, Channa, and Aloo Paratha were decent but could use more flavor. The Kashmiri Chay was okay. Overall, a mixed experience with some standout items.

Food was mediocre, had the worst karak chai I’ve ever tasted. The worker at the till quietly charged me a service charge (which I only discovered after totaling the price of the food I ordered, and it was over by £2). I asked for the receipt initially, and he said he needed it for our doughnut order and would give it back, but I never received it.

I was surprised to see that the matka biryani was actually really good! Slightly more expensive but halal

Popped in tonight from birmingham while looking for a dessert. Lady serving us was really sweet. We ordered desserts and drinks. Everything was lovely. Will go back.

Lovely food, lovely customer service. Prepared by a lovely lady wearing a head cap. Definitely can be reassured about great hygiene. Food had the least amount of oil.

Nice decore. But the reason for my visit was not decore. That was tea, and tea was total scam it was overpriced, and taste was pathetic. I would never ever go there and let my friends go there in the future. What's the point for scamming customers with name MY KARAK CHAAI if you can't make chai.

The karak chai was nice, I got the large cup but it was half filled so didn’t understand the purpose of giving a large cup if it’s half filled.

Would never recommend even if someone paid me to go. Staff were rude and the food was uncooked! Oh since the service was bad so they gave a free burger to only get home and see that it was buns full of salad

Asked for a pistachio milk cake, they gave a rose and pistachio one - my fault maybe assuming they have pistachio only, but they should have pointed this out. The rose taste, maybe the heat, maybe a few days on shelf, tasted fermented and overpowering disgusting rose taste ( maybe not even rose) on the bottom layer. Tell me I’m wrong about your rose and pistachio cake. Stick to Cha Cha Chai Milk cake absolutely amazing double the size and even cheaper!

Chai wasn't tasty, not at all karak.

Absolutely disgusting food, pasta tasted like it was cooked in expired cheese, beef burger was undercooked and smelly patties. Been here many times before but really disappointed this time. We got other things but it was fine but these two in particular were disgraceful. When I gave the review card to the staff, they thought it was funny and started laughing after reading it. Staff should be changed as it seems like they find their job a joke! Lack of good customer service and honestly extreme disappointment today! I’ll make sure none of my friends or family come here.

Looked nice from outside and wanted to have some desi chai, but chai was terrible, one of us wanted chai without sugar but it was not available as they don’t make it fresh! Over priced and served in disposable cup while we dine in and it was no where near karak chai in taste, deceptive name! Will avoid in future!

Quite disappointed with this place as I was quite excited looking at the menu, to then find out several of the main items weren’t available. After compromising my order, I went with the halwa puri, haleem, karak chai and mango lassi. Halwa was dry and not fresh. Chanai (chickpeas) had a nice flavour however again did not taste fresh at all. The bowls which the halwa and chanai were served in were also extremely hot like they just came out of the microwave which was quite suspicious. Haleem and naan were the only good points as the karak chai was very bland with almost no flavour. Mango lassi was nothing special. Was quite runny and flavour was not all that.

Best desi breakfast with delicious omelette, paratha, pickle, kadak chai and flavourful daal. Decent tea and snacks place on Curry mile. Their masala tea is amazing. We also liked pani puri. Pav bhaji needed some butter and lime but apart from that it was an enjoyable experience. Service staff is very good and kind too. Recommended place.

Ordered karak chai, churros and a 1/2 waffle for the young one. All excellent in looks and flavour.

The best samosa chaat I've had in a while

Visited here today and got the scrambled egg with toast & an apna breakfast. I was charged £1.99 for service charges which had not been communicated to me before I had paid. This was really off putting. The scrambled egg and toast wasn’t worth the price. Portion was very small, I would have expected some beans with it at least. I got 3 cherry tomatoes and a few slices of mushroom with it. Service was also appalling. I wouldn’t visit here to eat again. The tea was ok.

Made the mistake of trying their "Asian / Desi Breakfast". This was one of the least flavoursome deski breakfasts I have had in Manchester to date! Also, the chicken paratha was extremely dry and their "special sauce" appears to simply be a combination of chilli sauce and mint sauce. They also gave such a small amount of the sauce alongside the paratha. I will stick to the Karak Teas from now on.

Just been for breakfast with the family. Really nice seating for families. Table was clean and not cluttered. Ordered breakfast and halwa puri with milkshake and karak chaii. Staff were really friendly too. Really tasty parathas (not the supermarket frozen type), dhaal and omelettes were flavoursome too. Star was the karak chai which was not too strong with spices and right amount of sweetness. All in all a great place to grab tasty lunch!

The cafe was fairly quiet upon our visit, with an ambient atmosphere. Staff were quick to take our order - one slice of san sebastian cheesecake and two lotus biscoff milk cakes with three karak chais without sugar. Receipt of our food and drink was just as prompt. The chai retained a mellow, cardamom infused flavour and the cakes were delicious. Even with the chocolate drizzled on the san sebastian cheesecake it did not become sickeningly sweet as the cream on the side and cream from the milk cake balanced the thicker-textured sweet parts out. Thank you for the great service, food and drinks. We will definitely be returning to try more dishes!

From the authentic Karak Chai itself, plus Kashmiri, to the best Nihari I’ve ever encountered in my life!!!!! To the home-made waffles, doughnuts, desserts, desi breakfast, Saag, Samosa Chaat, Chaat Puri Puri, Daal, Cheese keema rolls and Faloodas plus sooo much more!!! Great location in Chorlton, plus two hours free parking outside too!!! It’s just perk after perk after perk. Great staff, with special big ups to the Glam Boss Lady Daaniya @daaaaniyaaaa x Nuff pride shown in the place, and nuff pride felt in me. Get yourself down there!!!!! They have an Oldham branch too, which is just as sexy. Check out guys, check out!!! 20/10 from me. Be warned though- it’s addictive!!!! No cap tings!!!

Didn't eat here we just had some got drinks after a hefty meal. The service was weird I asked for a black coffee and they said they don't do black coffee but they offer americano lol 😆 the street vendors were in and out selling their goods and one lady (a vendor) even took a chair outside and sat there selling her goods in style 😆 I couldn't help but chuckle I've never seen anything like this. Besides for this the drinks were average the only drink that made this 3 stars possible is the chai. Very good chai 👌

Rude staff, served me chai first by the time paratha came chai was cold.. paratha was so so thick and ends uncooked. When I complained he said u have to tell us before if u want thin paratha.. who eats uncooked paratha with thick ends!!!! I had to pay again for my thin paratha .. never coming to this branch again disappointed.

A tea cup fell, leaving a mess on the table and on the floor. They offer a complimentary cup of tea and carefully clean the area. We were truly taken aback by their generosity. Thank you so much for your kindness 💝.

Waited 30 mins for a ferrero milkshake, 2 pink teas and a strawberry ice cream. The ferrero milkshake was watered down. One of the pink teas was a karak tea. Both were regular drinks when one was meant to be a large. The ice cream was initally given in a tub and not a cone. Many people ordered after us and got served well before. We were told 2 mins and 10 mins later had to ask again. Really poor service and will not be coming again.

Visited on a Saturday morning, so the place was empty. Orderd halwa puri and the Desi Breakfast. Food was ok, homemade paratha instead of Shana or cheaper alternative, So 👍 The chai though... mehhh. Avoid the cinnamon karak chai. Service was ok, standard Saturday morning subdued quiteness. But that was fine. Wanst expecting anything more. Pretty place which is ok for a drop-in snack.
