It was my first time in Bristol and I was just wandering around. I saw the advert for this delightful store that makes you feel like you've just stepped onto the Kalahari. It was a very welcoming store, really well stocked with all things food and drink related, as well as mementos and books. I could easily have spent all my money there but I had to keep restrained. I would actually visit Bristol again just to go to the store.

More and more lovely products available in this friendly, family run store. A trip to Kalahari Moon is always a treat. I’ll be back again soon.

Always impressed with the range available ! Friendly team who know the products and their customers! I couldn’t spend too much time for fear of growing accustomed to the smell of home!

I discovered this colourful and charming store on a visit to Bristol. Having no experience of South African products, beyond biltong, I proceeded to buy a few items. One of which was a bottle of KMV XO Brandy. I paid £42.50 only to discover later the going rate is £22.50 even at the Whiskyexchange (known for range and not their affordability). Even the SouthAfrica shop online priced it at £32.50. It was my intention to support this small business but do feel taken advantage of.

I love shopping at this shop. The atmosphere take you home. All the friendly faces. Always a chat and a laugh in the shop, the way we can. The shop owner make us all feel welcome and so also her family. Even non South Africans I recommend to go visit. You will love it.

Fantastic find while having to attend court as a witness in a weary case. My wife and I miss SA very much having moved to UK 5 years ago now so it was a total awesome bonus to go home that afternoon with all the things we miss on the foodie front.....keep it up guys.

I'm a regular here, although not south African. Rose and her family are a pleasure to visit and my carnivorous husband is dangerously addicted to their biltong.

We recently moved back to the UK from SA and we really wanted to pick up a few things that you just can't get here. The shop had some Mrs. Balls chutney that I didn't even know about whilst in SA. We got some Ouma rusks, chicken spice and some Pro Nutro which is what we were craving. Just a word of advice, check some of the dates on some of the items as some were close to their best before dates and one or two were just over. It must be tough to get all the goods over and within date. However, great to know that there's a place to stop by and stock up on our favorite SA foods and drinks.

Stumbled on this little gem. If you are not South African & don’t know what biltong is... leave now! Great biltong, droëwors & other SA delicacies. Can't wait to go back.

Don't know much about South African food but there is a nice selection to pick from, go by and pick up different biltongs every now and then - reasonable pricing, can't really go wrong! Also have different sweets, chocolates, drinks etc!

I have been going here for years, its amazing and good value and one order normally feeds a few with good portions. Totally the best amazing choice, amazing food, love it, would rate as the best ever.

As undergraduate students who have recently come from India an year ago we struggled finding good Indian food in the UK. I come from Punjab and my friend from Maharashtra, We initially struggled finding good Indian food that we both liked. We tried our luck in London, Reading and Bristol for Indo-Chinese. But Lama is the closest we have come to that reminds us of food back home. Everytime we feel a bit home sick we just pay a visit. Absolutely recommend it. Must give it a try.

The best food by far, I have been coming for years and the food is unbeaten. Super friendly staff and a lovely little family owned business. Sadly the original owners have gone now and there's new management so I've not tried out their menu.
