I popped in here for a quick lunch on the way to the football as I was curious to try Afghan food. Staff were very friendly and helpful and I went with their recommendation which was a meat and rice dish (Quabai Palaw), served with a side salad and mild chilli sauce. The meat was soft and tender, and the rice - containing carrot strips and juicy raisins - was delicious. It was also a generous portion. I will definitely be back to try some more items on the menu!

The short review: nice place, efficient service, good price, delicious and generous portions. Definitely worth a look in! The rave review: we hadn’t had Afghan food in over a decade when we spotted this little place on our wandering around Southampton. Clean, bright and welcoming, we decided to try it out. They have a small area but nicely laid out, with two traditional booths where you can eat sitting on the floor with cushions—still wish we had been brave enough to try that! We opted for a western dining table and ordered lamb kebab and chicken kuriya. Both came with salad (iceberg with tomato and cucumber) and a ten inch round of gorgeous fresh naan. The food was delicious and there was plenty of naan to sop up the sauce—didn’t even need the cutlery. Price was quite good and we took home leftovers. Definitely recommend!

Being unfamiliar with Afghan food we ordered different types of dishes with recommendation from the waiter and the chef. It was all really nice. Mostly grilled meat and chicken with amazing spices. The bread was baked to order and simply divine.
