Brilliant chips shop,very popular locally excellent fish and chips,fantastic service.

Very good choice of food and reasonable prices

Had chicken curry and chips, slow to collect, didn't have a clue of prices when ordering, the staff told me they just take orders don't know prices, but when they don't take card payments, for me gathering the right cash is important when collecting. Plus by the time my order got to me it was like a slush with the chips dissolved. I will return to give it the benefit with it having such good reviews elsewhere

Decent chippy! One of, if not, THE best in the area! Prices are still low despite everywhere else going up. Chips are always consistently nice. Bread/chip cones are the thing to be getting, unreal. Can add chicken curry for an extra £1.50 or so but I wouldn’t bother for the 2-3 pieces of chicken you get, stick to chips and curry sauce or something. Small old school interior, gets busy. Odd opening times so look them up in advance instead of assuming they’re open.

So I got some foods yesterday and It was pretty good I’ve been in the uk for about 4 months now and my friend told me to check This place out so I got a small fish and chips the chips were nice and the fish was lovely and flaky and tender the chip cone with curry sauce was incredible and the staff were so nice and welcoming had a little chat and overall was a great experience definitely recommend

Undoubtedly the best chippy in wrexham County - the bread cones are legendary and you'd be hard pressed to find a lunchtime when there isn't a long queue outside - but it's well worth queueing for!

One of the best chip shops in the area, food is always fresh and tasty.

I could give 5 * as the taste is wonderful but they did not give forks and if I did not ask I could be upset and also when I was eat outside I saw other customers get even plastic bag for that food which I didn't have. All that paper is very greasy on bottom that why i belive bag shouldbe add to every fish. I wrote that opinion just to pass massage to owner that trate all customers same! I belive he didn't give me fork and plastic bag as he easy could see I am not local:)

Great little chippy. Always go there when I'm visiting family nearby. Food is tasty, always piping hot and cracking value. Staff are attentive and quick. Their signature dish is the chip cone (pictured) but everything is delicious. Bought lunch for the family (5 adults and 2 kids) and it came in at about 25 quid. Highly recommend.

By far one of the best chippys I've been to. Really lovely chips, large portions, good prices, only issue is there's usually a bit of a queue!

First visit today, saw the chip cone and had to have one. I wasn't disappointed. Top notch food and a great atmosphere.

My wife had been telling me that this is the place to go for fish and chips, only because her dad loved it 20 years ago ! All I can say is that she was right, fish and chips for two and curry sauce for less than a tenner, no wonder there was a queue outside at 12:30 on a Friday afternoon. Highly recommended.

Went to view a house in the area, got the usual tummy rumbles and decided to share a bag of chips fish and a carton of mushy peas. The chips were second to none, the fish was large, very light batter, the mushy peas were 'proper' ones, have to say best of the year so far, would definitely return again if in the area , apologies for not taking a photo, but I was starving 😂😂

Chips were awful, and the fish was worse!

I must say I was a little dubious about this place even though it had good reviews, I suppose I figured that because it's the only fish & chips gaff within a certain radius people will just be happy with it.... Oh how I was wrong!!! My partner and I ordered a regular and a large fish supper (fish, chips, mushy peas) it was less than £11 for both and sweet jebus the portions were large and the food tasted fresh and great... The fish was in a golden brown bubbly batter, the chips weren't soggy in the slightest and the Tartare sauce (homemade I believe) was literally superb Safe to say I've found my go to 😊

Best chippy round you will never find one as good as these. they been going years my favourite is chip cone and fish and chips and it so great they do kids meals just big enough for them recommend to anyone brilliant lads brilliant service and brilliant food what more can you ask for

They have an extensive menu, but I usually gravitate to the old favourite fish, chips, and mushy peas you can't fault it, and excellent value for money!

However guys there is a better one in blaneau festiniog its in the back streets but you got to visit the queens head pub to be told where it is there quite friendly in the penqwern army pub up in blaneau and the welsh slate restaurant is amazing in blaneau.

Love fish & chips from Josies chippy! It's been a family & work favourite for years & its always been well worth the wait/queues! Everything we've had is always delicious. We've had chicken curry from here a few times now though & the curry is lovely but there's hardly any chicken in it!!!! Last chicken curry from josies literally had only 3 small pieces of chicken in it (we counted) which was extremely disappointing. Prefer to go to the Spar in Rhosddu if we fancy chicken curry & chips on lunch break now. Delicious, cheaper & loads of chicken! It's crazy that A Spar can out do a very good chippy when it comes to chicken curry and chips! To the owners of josies chippy :- Grab yourself a chicken curry at midday from the Spar in Rhosddu & put the same amount of chicken in yours & you will have very happy customers 👍🏻🙏🏻

I have been going to Josies for years, whether it a catch up with my dad, cycling with my brother, or out and about with friends, this place has always been the go to chippy for lunch. Chip cone with curry is still perhaps the greatest meal there, though also the greatest challenge, so only get if you're hungry enough! Never had a bad meal from here, staff are superb and friendly, and the food is always great! A must go to if you're wanting a traditional chippy around the Wrexham area!

Lovely fish and chips, always fresh, best in the area.. All staff are very friendly.Only one small problem is parking, but there is a small car park just up the road.

Jodie's chip shop is of the highest standard. The food is cooked to perfection. You'll need to check opening times as they are limited but well worth a visit.

Best fish and chips in Wrexham. My favourite food from here though is the chip cone with the spicy chicken burger and curry sauce. Definitely recommend!
