We went tonight as a last minute thing, got a seat, literally just after we arrived it was rammed The food WOW! Best Indian food in years, I'm now in a food coma 🤣 Well be back

It's a great local. Good food and a drinkers pub. Makes always well kept. Friendly folk. Much improved pub compared to a few years back

Came hear after 2 recommendations from friends, food was absolutely amazing best grill I have had in a long time, my husband also loved his curry, food came out in no time, all staff were great, definitely be back soon!!!

This has got to be the worst place we've ever been to , broken glass windows in the "play area " garden equipment left out for any child to falll on , we messaged this pub the night before to ask if there was a play area and they said yes , we got there and It was truly horrendous , nothing but broken benches , broken glass windows , garden equipment including a lawn mower and all it's pieces lying all over the floor , barley any seating inside. I can only hope that the food from this place outways the shocking lack of health and safety ...but we will never know as I would never let my kids eat there.. if the people who own this place can see this , sort it out! You have the potential for a brilliant place..but right now jolly...it is not

I recently dined at The Jolly Collier on Lucknow Road, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant delivers not only in terms of quality cuisine but also in providing an outstanding level of service that truly sets it apart. The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the Mixed Grill, which was nothing short of superb. Each component was cooked to perfection, with meats that were tender, flavorful, and expertly seasoned. The balance of textures and flavors was remarkable—succulent cuts with just the right amount of char, enhancing the overall taste experience. The portion size was generous, ensuring a satisfying and well-rounded dish that would impress any grill enthusiast. Equally commendable was the service, which was nothing less than perfection. The staff were exceptionally professional, attentive, and welcoming, demonstrating a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. From the moment we arrived, they ensured our dining experience was seamless, with prompt service and a friendly yet polished approach. It is rare to encounter such meticulous attention to detail in hospitality, and it significantly elevated the overall experience. The only slight disappointment was the mint yogurt and chili sauce, which lacked the depth and richness expected in such accompaniments. Both were somewhat watery and did not offer much in terms of robust flavor, missing an opportunity to enhance the meal further. A thicker consistency and a bolder taste profile would have made a notable difference. That said, this minor shortcoming does not detract from the restaurant’s overall excellence. The Jolly Collier remains a highly recommended dining destination, excelling in both culinary execution and service. Whether you are seeking a memorable meal or simply a welcoming atmosphere with high-quality food, this establishment is well worth a visit. I will certainly be returning.

I have been twice now and everything about jc’s is fantastic. I have many food allergies and intolerances that make eating out a struggle, but this hasn’t been a problem. The staff and chef are more than happy to alter the recipes and the food is delicious. The staff are just wonderful. I highly recommend eating here and if you have any food restrictions just ask and they will help you

TBF was a little apprehensive about dinning here but absolutely blown away one of the best local Currys house in town great value for your money brilliant service and take away defo use it again highly recommended

Had heard lots of good things about the food at the jolly collier and finally managed to get over and it did not disappoint. Service was fast and efficient, and our server was very friendly. The food was absolute top notch. We will definitely be bringing the family along in the future.

Decided to try the new Mixed Grill and Curry menu on Wednesday. Staff were very friendly and attentive, and each member of the party was very happy with their food. We ordered a large mixed grill that easily fed two - zero complaints with the mixed grill. One party member has a chicken tikka madras and I had a chicken tikka pathia. Both dishes were great. We all agreed that the naans were good here too - especially the peshwari! The JC is split into a pub (to the left) and restaurant (to the right). Drinks can be bought on the premises but you have to order drinks at the bar. Overall, a very good experience and all four of us were happy with the food and service.

Had a lovely, chatty girl serve us called Lexi Evans, kept checking we were fine. Wanted to help in anyway that she could. & the food 🤩was absolutely amazing especially for the price, definitely would say this is the best local Indian grill restaurant in the area 👍🏼

Lovely local pub, we’ve been many times but tried a take away from the new Indian menu tonight and it was superb… so glad we tried this as we will definitely be using again, we had a large mixed grill a masala sauce and a naan bread… plenty of food and all for about £25 …. It was all delicious…. The photo is of how I’ve dished up at home but to be fair we may eat in next time as the eating area looked lovely 🥰

1st time here tonight for food and it didn't disappoint. I highly recommend the lasagne and the garlic bread. Daughter had enchiladas and husband the beef madras. Everything was just lovely 😍. Will definitely go back. Next time, got to try the Sunday lunch 😋

They have a new chef offering Mediterranean-Spanish cuisine and must say it is one of the finest meals I've had in a long time and the service by Adrian and Paige was top notch We will definitely be back, highly recommended for anyone who'd like to try it out Well done Jolly Collier!!!

We had a very nice Sunday dinner there last Sunday.

Just had a lovely meal. This is my local and can't speak highly enough of the place. Great food, nice drink and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The owners are really nice.

We booked a table for 14 people on the 30th October for Sunday dinner. The dinner was fantastic beautifully presented and so tasty, Staff are wonderful and couldn’t do enough to help us. Pudding was also fantastic Good value for money we had 2 courses for £14.95 it was worth every penny Thank you jolly collier we will definitely be back!

Went for Sunday lunch pre booked still waited nearly 40 minutes not good meals came not hot only warm chicken way over done no atmosphere and cold looking sorry can't recommend over priced for this pub sorry 😞we arrived at 12.50 and ordered our meal no.other party was in until we were going so can't understand why the long wait and didn't like to complain in front of other people and were only told of delay 20 mins later not on our arrival just like to know why the wait but.no reply

Booked a table for 9 early December for Christmas eve went in to check 3 days before and was told he would let us know of any changes turned up Christmas eve only to be told there wasn't any food was not informed at any time and will not be going back there to clicky

AVOID! Had table booked for Christmas Eve for family, arrived on the night and told us that all food was cancelled apparently due to covid and didn’t inform us beforehand. Really disappointed and wouldn’t visit again.

First time visit, very impressed, great food and friendly staff. Had steak and ale pie, best pie I've had in a while.

By far the best fillet steak I've ever had, along with a brilliant pint of red stripe.

One of our local pubs, always welcoming and good beer. Newly refurbed and looking cosy with the real fire. Now with the added bonus of top quality steak and Italian food, we will be sampling more of the menu very soon. Meatball starter was on the money. 👌
